I had buddies who owed me favors help pour my shop floor. Needless to say, the floor is not exactly level. Looks like the car would roll away from me with the better Dollie! Thanks for these reviews. Love the new shop and floor!
DEBOSS GARAGE It’s Quattro time!
I went to harbor freight today and it amazes me that they already have an exact replica of the GOJAK haha
great video when i originally saw those harbor freight units in my hands i knew the casters were an issue and you just proved it. we have been using go jacks since the 90s and they were invented and made about 40 min away from me.
They've been upgraded with bearing casters and better material wheels... Same price (about $89.99)
Yup. $65 w/ a coupon
I'll stick with harbor fraught, they save me money on tools, I get a good workout using them, and learn how to deal with stress and patience when they break. It just keeps giving!
Scott I thats a positive way to look at it lol
OCD Stig - I have two breaker bars, the cheap one that broke twice and was “returned to the store” and the one my grandfather gave me.
I'll stick with my Craftsman tools. Lifetime warranty and no having to order online or track down a tool truck... Of course I'd prefer Snapon and Blue Point, but I'm not rich lol
I think certain tools you can't cheap out on. But some items especially if you don't plan to use them many times best to save the money and use them on something else.
Best, comment of my existence!!! I love you man:)
You sold me. Gonna get hubby these for his Bday in May.
Use the pull gauge, to see how much effort to push/pull
Harbor Freight is great for the mechanic that wants to work on/fix/modify his tools as much as his vehicles.
Used go jacks when i used dollies alot . 2 floor jacks with a good operator worked in a pinch.
The problem is that the axles of the wheels are not vertical, so they don't want to turn on their own axis.
The mounts have bent under the weight of the vehicle.
You have to reinforce the mounts to make them work better.
Unfortunately, the contact surface of the steel wheels is too large on slightly flexible plastic floors.
It's almost like the more you pay for a product, the better quality it is. A proper follow-up review would be due in 3 years.
Here 3 years later. ✅
Those are old harbor frieght units. thbe modern ones are from Pittsburgh not us general and use the same systems as the name brand gojacks. The price they quoted is low (more like $240 each)and is for 1 jack not the set. the go jack set with that caddy is $999 vs $89 each for the harbor freight ones
Doug Scholl its like clickbait without being clickbait lol
As a tow truck operator, from experience, the HF ones actually work better and are holding up better than the go jack set. The go jack caster wheels are brittle as hell. HF wins this one.
So basically this video is a commercial for the gojack dolly.
Can you guys revisit this with the new Daytona units? I heard they’re better than the US General ones
shit for the price difference the little bit of resistance you get from the HF models is worth it.
🤣
Harbor freight has the same design now. Also they are $69.99 with a coupon.
I still remember that HF dolly review. That was how I found out about your channel years ago!
Awesome Celica in the background
Everyone was talking about curling the last couple days. I can't help but see a good comparison here.
Looks like those would be great for making a FWD car drift!
You could always upgrade the wheels on the Harbor Freight ones with some wheels off of a shopping cart.
USA MADE IS THE WAY TO GO PERIOD. GOJAK FOR ME!
The HF dollies would function just as well with Go Jack wheels and be cheaper.
$289 each is insane! Eastwood seems like the better buy in 2024.
You can get caster wheels way cheaper than $25 per wheel
Most users can do basic fab and there are ways to source other casters but if I had to use Harbor Freight dollies I'd anchor (more) deadmen for snatch blocks to my floor (I already have one to winch vehicles into my shop from outside my shop using my truck winch) then drag whatever I wanted to move at the push of a button. (Even little winches work but I use RE8000s bought cheap as noobs fry the motors from undercurrent and motors are cheap.) If your snatch blocks have chains you can drill some heavy angle for bolt holes and notch it for chain with an angle grinder/torch/plasma cutter. If you prefer D-rings those are inexpensive and easy to weld or have welded to ~1/4" or thicker flat bar or angle. With or without dollies being able to winch (anything) around the shop floor can be insanely convenient. I have a bad bad so no car pushing for me. Aramid rope is lightweight and easier to handle than wire rope if you prefer that, and you can pull without a winch by using sections of either rope with loops on the end then connecting with shackles or whatever. I do that with my winches too when dragging stuff that may get caught like trees. Wheels + winches (including manual winches of many types) are wonderful and more car peeps should play with them.
Being 3x the price I don't see how this comparison is really relevant. It's not exactly a shock that spending a lot more money will get you a nicer product....
I want them I just wish they made it where it jacks the car up like a lift so you can use it for transmission jobs
Man... i have a set of 12" gojak's. They cost $279 ea plus $200 for the rack iirc. This was about a decade ago tho.
Understand they make different width models. If you have a sports car you best buy the widest ones.
That being said they really are amazing. Even on less than perfect surfaces they still work very well. I totally agree with this video. If you need dollys, dont waste money on cheap ones.
Love the pink colors red is nice too Love tropical colors
The answer is on the comments the wheel vertical shaft is flexing and not allowing caster rotation.
Install greddy itbs on the Frs and go full n/a k tnx
Also nice wheel dollies
Is tha car really all tha way off tha floor 🤔 with tha harbor fright jacks jus an ??
Good review this one man handyman is convinced.
Awesome video guys. Very thorough.
I have huge truck tires 37"x13.50" x22" mounted on 22"x14" wheels and they're so heavy to lift back on the wheel hub when rotating tires. Can I use the dolly to just hold the wheel and then slide it into position on the hub for remounting?
I realize this comment is a year old but Zendex has SUV GoJaks with a 1750lb capacity or a 7000lb vehicle. Rated for tire widths up to 16" and even dual tires. If you're interested give Matt a call at 800-367-6575.

286 each on Amazon. Take me back to the good ole days
As the saying goes , You get what you pay for ! Great video
Go jack advertisement? 🤨
Great review by Go Jack
I'm getting those for the shop!
HF Jacks got to be new to compare
They probably wouldn't have got The Click Revenue if they would have done an honest review
Thanks for kicking the Harbor Freight wheels the wrong direction. Aren't these the old HF wheel dollies?
Rocket Surgery glad I'm not the only one who caught that
im not looking to move the car around, but could I use these instead of jack stands for winter storage?
I got the expensive ones 3 years ago, and they all leak oil now... that would explain why you see more and more mechanical jacks now. Just by the product reviews, i can obviously see I'm not the only one. But when they work, they work good.. too bad
Great comparison. Like butter!
Can you use rotating tires also and put back roll it align holes no problem?
Almost $400 bucks a piece! Outrageous for storing a boat
I have 2 go jacks now that won't release. Now what? Anybody else had this problem?
dumb question but can you just buy only 2 and place it on diagonal corners for maneuvering in a tight garage?
Now they have the daytona ones
Princess auto sells the same unit as GoJak without the branding too!
Most mechanics with a shop that big do only have one person in them at a time.Ask any mechanic and they will tell you figuring out how mechanical things work with the instructions printed on them is vary hard! $260 a set for HF or $510 for the pink set?
Actually, moral of the story here is don't skip leg day if you are budget minded haha.
Them squats work wonders lol
Ok so I'm the one today with the weird question about this product cuz we always need one you know. Can you buy only two of these and push for instance the back of the vehicle sideways like 6 to 12 inches? I need to clear only the back of the car by moving it sideways so I can access the rest of the garage, since the garage door is way on the left and the end of the garage not deep enough to go front and back less then 50 times..
It rolls better for the go Jack ones looks like the tires are off the floor for them.
To go with this review you should buy some brand-new tein coilovers and compare them to a used discontinued set just like you did with these car dollies...
My dealer is on our second set of gojack dolleys, we broke our first set.
i got the el cheapos from HF and they work awesome
Excellent video!
What if you use those individual tyre skates and use a quick action jack instead?
I've got two different style of the harbor freight ones. They both suck. They don't always want to work. I've had them release on me, with a loud bang when trying to lift a vehicle or move a vehicle. They just don't want to roll easily with weight on them. But I'm stuck with them because I can't afford the Go-Jacks.
Price difference??
I picked up a pair of the hydraulic ones from Canadian Tire. Work decently but still need two people because my garage floor is pretty heaved from the frost. I'm a bit worried after reading reviews and CT switched to a non-hyrdaulic design, but we'll see I guess.
The problem with harbor freight is the dolly roller donnt use ball bearing, like car wheel bearing. A car wheel bearing cost minimum 40$ ! No pay, no get.
We have nothing like harbour freight in the Uk
need make lock on tires ...
if someone double parking blocked your way out this can use to push the goddamn car go away
COnsidered the cheaper versions but after seeing this Ill wait and save for the real deal. 400$ each now :s
Does the harbor freight dolly have rollers so you can align the wheel lugs hole to the studs?
Anyone know?
Sure they're not as nice but they get the job done. Just like most tools at HF .
So the one's that cost more than double the price of the budget ones are better? Who could have ever predicted this?
The harbor freight dolly is 49.00
How many people have a nice shop with smooth floor like that?
In real life there aren't that many. Thanks but NO thanks i use a floor jack with wheels for occasional use because i live in the real world unlike people in their dream shop.
GoJaks are the best!
More tool reviews please!!
I bet your boy moose would’ve push does harbor freight jacks. 😂😂
Moose would have given it one push on the Harbor Freight jacks and the car would have done a Kool-Aid man through the back wall.
I'll comment before watching the video :-D
They're all junk if you have a shitty garage floor! But if you're a baller UA-cam superstar like Dave and Pete with a sick epoxy floor then you're in luck
Let's cut to the chase.... what'll ya take for the FRS? $$
can these be used to mount the wheel to the vehicle? I'm getting old and when rotating wheels, it is getting harder for me to lift my wheel up onto the studs. will the wheels spin freely on the dolly? you know, to align the studs with the rim stud holes?
Yes, if you raise the car with a jack and place the wheel on a dolly it can spin freely on the dolly.
Pete said do do.
Imagine that... You spend more, you get more. Who would have thought?
My wife said the same thing on our wedding night...
Sometimes you can get some really good values at HF, for example the Earthquake cordless impacts, and the Daytona jack. Also, most of their "Professional" line hand tools are really good. Sometimes you don't have to pay more to get a great tool.
Charlie Foxtrot it doesn't matter how much you polish your poop, in the end it's still shit.
I can't argue with that sound logic.
What size is that garage/shop?
$230 each tho... I rather just struggle
OCD Stig you can't do that in a lot of shops, not enough room
No...it’s an investment. Jobs I do pay me 50.00 more per....
The newer HF jacks are much better and don't cost double
When one wheel cost as much as all the HF Dollies
Send me ur web link , I need these life-saving jacks! I do towing n most of the cars doesn’t go on gear or no key!!
I don't even see those kind of wheel dollies at Harbor Freight
there only 37 dollars at HF Way you got your vehicles slam to the ground > never get em under it Got a faster way with 2 flour jacks one under the pumpkin and under the front engine support and move it> ANY CAN'T PUSH ON THEM BODY ANY MORE WITH PLASTIC> UNLESS YOUR WANT TO CRACK IT
Speed Academy x Hoonigan collab
The speed academy guys are okay but couldn't keep up with the hoonigans. Hoonigans and mighty car mods would make a bunch better show. Like when MCM did one with roadkill
Just think of the money your saving for a gym membership when the HF dollys give you such a good work out with the Go Jacks you get no exercise at all so you got to bet that darn gym membership LOL!! No Go Jacks are the best that's for sure but you gotta remember you get what you pay for you want cheap tools you but cheap tools you want good tools you buy the quality stuff it works everytime
Nice!! A "wheel" world comparison...LOL
Those are car dollies, not wheel dollies.
wow... i will buy a bunch of those when my daddy or my mommy buy me a entire complete shop and also a 5000dollars epoxy floor
isnt too busy if hes got time to make a vid
That floor though....
Right?! I found myself staring at the floor on multiple occasions
After getting the harbor freight jacks and the updated wheels you still come out 50 or more dollars cheaper. But hey either way is neither right or wrong it's just a personal preference. If I could afford to just buy whatever I wanted I would always go with the creme de la creme. I recently browsed engine stands and right away the 100 to $300 Stan's showed up quite a bit, and then I came across the coolest stand. It had just about everything you could think of to make everything smoother, and overall easier to work with but came with a price tag of almost $6,000. If I had 6 Grand that was burning a hole in my pocket I would definitely buy it. Or even if I had my own business I would invest in that sort of equipment are build it myself.
$408 each, so $1,632 for a set of four?
Harbor freight for the win..cheaper and more stable lol....honestly you where being a sissy about how hard you had to push with the harbor freight dollies...none the less, good video😎
Hey you are waaaayyyy too polite. Tell us what you really think. The hb ones are crap.
That’s terrific thanks
More Speed Academy content (EXCITED LOUD NOISES)
Harbor Freight, so shitty it makes the other guys look like they paid for your endorsement.
