    Great video I noticed you were winding clockwise I assume you use the other rewind tool for the other side but is it clockwise or anticlockwise? Cheers for any reply

    My caliper is stuck on, and won't come off after removing the bolts, any tips?

    • @rstv84
      @rstv84  Рік тому

      undo the brake hose this might release some pressure. worst case a big hammer or screwdriver between the pads and the caliper

    No need for a little grease on the pads no more and did you not have to take the top off the fluid reservoir?

    • @rstv84
      @rstv84  2 роки тому

      As I have said in a lot of my previous videos I do not apply grease. I was advised by the manufacturer that it is not needed and actually more detrimental as it allows the brake dust to solidify to the grease. Grease is never applied from the factory and the pads have built it adhesive to combat squeak. Hope this helps explain why I don't use it anymore. And thank you for the comment.

      I may not have shown in this video but yes I did remove the fluid cap. I did front and reap pads on this Mokka and did the front pads first unfortunately the video battery ran out half way through.

      @@rstv84 When the fluid container is on max level, than it is possibel to use a suction syringe in the container to lower the fluid level before installing and then it's not necessary to bleed the brakes?

    i noticed the handbrake lever comes right up now once done the pads ? any idea why this might be as i did not think it would give it more travel once i did pads thanks

    • @rstv84
      @rstv84  Рік тому

      Once you have pushed the piston back on the rear calipers you need to pump the foot brake until its firm before you apply the handbrake.

      @@rstv84 okay cheers mate i thought maybe i havent put the lugs on the pads into the 2 holes on the piston and lined them up ? but will have a check, thanks mate again.

    Any common faults with these that would set off the service soon alarm? Misses does it now and again but there is like 85% left on the oil life

      It can be all sorts its basically the same as check engine light so you will have to get it scanned to diagnose it

    cant you just undo top bolt of caliper and swivel caliper down ?

    • @rstv84
      @rstv84  Рік тому +1

      No.not on the rears. The hand brake cable stops this from happening.

      Yeah the pads and new shims were a bit thick so took a little more filing. Didn't think anyone wanted to watch me do that lol. thanks for the comment tho
