Yes sir, that's living right there. Enjoy your videos. I just got back from a weekend at my cabin. I miss it already! Love that you hang that flag at the beginning and take her down at the end.
@@mountaintenhuntingclub7484 Will do. Like you I have worked on the cabin in small amounts at a time. I have her about 90% done. Me and my two son's hunt deer and turkeys there. I am actually working on building a shed now. I am originally from Western Pa. Love those mountains over where you are!
Well first off as a retired home builder, you obviously have some prior experience in construction. Everything looks ( almost ) professionally done. lol But my curiosity is asking, where are the other members of the Mountain 10 hunting club? Im now 89 years old, i started hunting in 1947 at age 12 in Lycoming Co. not far from Trout Run. After 5 years a group of us headed up by my father built a camp on a state lease in Cameron Co. After just a couple of years, the state confiscated our camp along with more than 300 other camps and private homes in that area. Without the long story about what took place on the 50.000 plus acres involved, the area is now known as the Quehanna Wilderness area. We later built a new camp not far from Driftwood PA. which we still own today. Our property is about 2 crow fly miles from the Quehanna border. Our construction company sent me and 5 other employees for a week to build the camp. We later went back for another week with just 3 of us to finish the interior, build bunk beds etc etc. Good luck with your project, hopefully you will have many years of enjoyment there. By the way, i lived in Bucks county PA. for the first 64 years of my life. For the last 25 the trip for me is over 1200 miles each way.
Thanks Ernie! My dad taught me some framing basics years ago and the importance of proper planning. I make sure to learn as much as I can about my next task by reading and watching others do it on UA-cam. That’s an interesting story about your camp, thanks for sharing!
That’s a good question. I started off with basically no space, just clamping them together. The wood was very wet and I’m counting on getting about 1/8” gap when they dry out. But by the end, I needed to start adding a gap to make the spacing work out. It wasn’t easy, but turned out just fine. Thanks for watching!
Looking good!!! Love the sound of a beer cracking open at camp. Kids make for great help when screwing down deck boards…. Just an FYI
Thanks! Yeah, I definitely could have used some help with all those screws! My knees and back are still sore!
You are a wise man. Chalula, just look for the wood cap. Great with everything but best with eggs. YUM!!!
I agree! I used to be a Tabasco fan, but once I tried Chalula I never went back.
Awesome video👍 it’s looking great. You make it look so easy to do I’m no carpenter 😎 seems like we always great at camp/cabin. Thanks for sharing it
Thanks!
Now that was a meal I could sink my teeth into!! Steak, and corn on the cob!!
Awesome! Love this
Thanks!

Alright an update!!! Hope you had a good 4th!
I did! Thanks Juddie!
Deck is looking good 👍. Doesn't take you long to get things done. Nice kitchen set.
@@mike241 Thanks Mike!
Alright you have a place to eat!
How much did you space between the decking?
