- On this week's 3 Minute Thursday, I'm reviewing the Kershaw Shuffle II folding knife. If you are always looking for a new EDC (every day carry) knife, like me, this is a great, inexpensive option for something that you can use for a variety of tasks.
I've been using my Kershaw Shuffle II for about 6 months now and it replaced my Kershaw Brawler knife that I've carried for the last couple of years because it's so much smaller and works just as well with some additional features.
So, if you want to learn more about this knife, check out the video!
Here's a link to that knife and others I use:

I bought this knife 2+ years ago and still carry it every day. It’s a great EDC knife
Nice, me too!
Just picked one of these up bc I live in a city which prohibits carrying knives with blades that’re 3 inches and longer. SUPER light compared to the last folder I carried. Not a fan of the curved shape of the handle but overall excited
Nice! I still carry mine every day.
Picked up one today, really excited about the shuttle II 😊
Nice! Congrats!
I bought 2 of these today from bass pro shop. One for me in olive green and one for my buddy in FDE. Looking forward to putting it in edc rotation! Looking at getting the Kershaw Link next!
I still really love my Shuffle and use it every day. The link is really nice too! I talked my brother in law into buying one because I've really liked all of my Kershaw knives. Enjoy them!
Love the ergos of this knife.
Yeah, it's a great little knife for the money!
I got mine. This is my first pocket knife; and it doesn't disappoint me.
I like this olive green color
Nice!
@@AllThingsOverlanding my only question is that, do they also sell replacement scales and screws? Or any aftermarket replacements?
@@waltermakuzander5248 that’s a good question but I don’t know the answer. I’ve had mine for a few years now and still carry it most days and haven’t had to do anything but sharpen it a couple times. I figured for the cost of the knife if I ever have any issues, I’ll just buy another one.
Kershaw make great knifes and this is no different. Had mine a few weeks and I love it. Like all Kershaw's it's razor sharp out the box unlike some other brands. You really can't go wrong with this knife, it's awesome.
I'm still using it as my EDC and it's great! Good size for carrying every day as well with lots of functionality. Glad you like it!
Im Impressed your still replying to comments! Thank you!
If im correct this is a locking knife? looking for basically this as an edc for the UK, can it be converted to slip joint/ Any recomendations?
No problem! Made this vid a while ago but I’m still making new ones every day so I’m pretty active on YT. It is a locking knife.
As for the ability to convert it, I’m not sure! Sorry, wish I knew more about that but don’t want to give you bad info.
I just picked one up and this thing is sharp one thing I don’t like is the locking dosnt work unless you pull the blade open and make sure it’s locked open
Nice! Yeah, you do need to make sure it's all the way locked out.
I have one of these in black and love it for EDC. Just some feedback on your video. Personally I find it annoying and almost clicked away when there is too much branding or otherwise irrelevant material before a presenter gets into it. On yours I thought I was being made to watch a Nissan ad until I realized it was the intro. Too long.
Also holding the knife in front of you and moving it around a lot makes it difficult to see, especially since the Shuffle is small. Also having it against a low contrast colour adds to the issue.
Dude, great feedback. This is an older video of mine and I'm always working to improve the usefulness and quality of the videos, but this helps tremendously. Thanks for taking the time (and being constructive) in leaving feedback!
I have Kershaw Cinder Multi-Function Folding Pocketknife (1025) I carrier everywhere I love it open boxes cut boxes to little pieces and it's still really sharp
I’ve been really happy with all my kershaw’s. I’ll have to check out the cinder!
My next one is going to be (Kershaw Leek Olive Handle with 14C28N Sandvik Steel)
@@marianomontero662 those are sweet!
Nice vid
Thanks!
Thanks
No problem!
I used to EDC a crkt Hammond cruiser and traded it for this shuffle. Same power but it's far lighter and more comfy
I still use it pretty much every day. Great little knife and there have been many times where the built in bottle opener has come in handy, :D.
Ima benchmade kinda guy, not a bran snob but just what i like. I am however looking at the launch 4 by kershaw
Benchmades are nice! These Keyshaw’s are pretty nice though for the money!
I always found this to be the "largest small knife" if that makes any sense. Great design
I get what you’re saying. It’s great for EDC.
I like the tool/screwdriver on the back. But seriously, a knife itself is a bottle opener. Every 14 year old german boy can open a beer bottle with pretty much everything.
It’s a valuable life lesson (opening beer bottles with no tools). 😀
This is cutting edge knife talk sir :)
Nissan Nation Podcast I see what you did there... 😂
All Things Overlanding you are sharp sir
So....where I live this costs $60...keep on mind basically every knife that would be suggested would cost me more. Would you still say this is a good knife?
I still use this as my every day carry knife. Great quality, small and easy to keep in your pocket, and functional for a lot of daily tasks. I love it.
same and $60SGD is $46USD
Subbed 💯✊🏾
Awesome, thanks!
what can u say after using it for 1 year?
I still carry it daily. I still like the small size of it. The only thing I like less than my Kershaw Brawler is that it's not assisted open. I kind of miss that, but this is about an inch shorter so it's much better for EDC.
@@AllThingsOverlanding maybe shuffle3 will be assisted...
@@nikoladj99 That would be sweet!
these things are like 40 bucks / 60+ in canada now did they realy go up that much in 3 years?
I guess so?
@@AllThingsOverlanding well i ordered some for xmas presents anyways, found your video just looking to see if they had any major flaws but also they arent that expensive on sale at houseofknives
@@Healcraft it is a great little knife!
Dude, 1:18 long intro? I almost went to a different video lol
Haha, they've gotten shorter, but yeah, back when I made this they were long. Skip ahead about a year and you'll see they're better now! Some of them back then were even longer, haha.
I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to lift up the knife while using the bottle opener, rather than just rotating it. You know what I mean? I’m gonna buy one and try it. Great video, thanks!
Hmm, good feedback. I'll give it a try. I just assumed you pry with it? But you might be right. Thanks for the comment!
All Things Overlanding I watched a few video demonstrations of it in use and I think I might be incorrect and it looks like you were right! Keep up the great work
@@AmericanSone5280 No problem! There're probably a couple of ways you could use it. It's not the most efficient bottle opener ever, but it works in a pinch. Good chatting with you!
@1:19
Haha, these intros were a little too long back in the day, :D.
@@AllThingsOverlanding haha I thought it was a more subtle and nicer way of letting you know than the nasty people that say “video starts here guys” etc 😂 I’ll delete my comment because you already know. Enjoyed the video other than that. 😁
Thanks for being so open to constructive criticism. Can tell you’re a good dude for sure.🤙 didn’t realise how old the video was sorry.
@@Nayddoh No! Don’t delete it! It’s fine, haha it helps people. Appreciate the candor and yeah, I’ve seen worse comments so you’re all good, lol.
This good for self defense lol?
Maybe if you’re fighting someone really small? 😀 Guess it’s better than nothing though.
Is it deadly sharp?
Haha, I mean, all the Kershaws I’ve ever had came pretty sharp and hold an edge well.
if you live in a country with very strict guns laws it's a solid option
Any knife is good for self defense. Just on different levels.
Kershaw is still ,,alive", regardless they are using Chinese POS steel? Wow
I've had really good luck with my few Kershaw knives so far.
Nice thing about their "POS Chinese knives" If you lose or break it, it isn't a big loss, and easy to replace. I've never had any of their cheap knives break on me (Besides the tip on a Kuro from prying😅) I'm carrying their link in 20cv steel($80 for it which is a steal), and it is holding up as well as my Benchmade Osborn.
@@skylerbond56 Yeah, for the price, they're pretty good.
@@AllThingsOverlanding Exactly, and it performs on par with Japanese Aus-8
Jesus loves you btw.
Good to know
