With faster speeds, better heat management and really high sustained Write speeds, these CF Express B and A cards offer the best performance on the market today. Which one will you get for your camera?

You are welcome. I have been getting some hot card warnings and was looking for other options. Exascend was the only new brand I saw here so I started to research them. Now we have one 4.0 spec card coming soon, I figure more should be on the way. From the ones in the video, they have some good ones out already.

@@waynerm002 Indeed, exciting times, except for my wallet lol... question, which one would you get if you mostly do photography? I heard you say that ProGrade is recommended by Nikon? Should I maybe go with that one? Thank you. I have one that writes and reads at like 440 and I am suspecting that it may be too slow for my Z8 lol

Figured I would share my research and what I found. Some are concerned about hot cards and speed with the Z8 being able to record so many codecs internally. Nextorage has impressive specs, I really want to get my hands on their cards.

HI; I have a Z9. I've seen the new cfexpress 4.0 Prograde, Cobalt or Gold. I don't know if they are suitable for current cameras. They also work with new readers

Prograde has a new 4.0 card reader that is said to improve the R/W speeds to your computer. I can’t say for sure if the capability is built in and can be activated with a firmware update, like going from XQD to CF Express type B but, it maybe possible. I haven’t come across any in my travels to buy and test.

Forgot to mention, the card is listed as recommended for the Z9 on Prograde’s site.

Yep! I don’t think our camera can take advantage of that speed, I don’t plan on getting one at this time.

I recently got a 4.0 reader with a 4.0 card that actually gets the 2800MB/s max read Speeds for USB/TB4 ports. Just posted a new video with the test results from these items. I'm now seeing close to the sustained R/W speeds of my current 2.0 cards
That OWC Atlas Pro card however, list 3650MB/s for read speed at CF 4.0, I guess once USB5 gets released next year, we will see new readers as well, that can get us close to those speeds. Hopefully not years later.
