  • One of the Holy Spirit’s primary works has been to give revelation to key leaders of God’s people in the progress of God’s redemptive history, culminating in Holy Scripture, which was written by men who were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
But the Holy Spirit also gave some of these same leaders special empowerment in addition to direct revelation. For example, the Old Testament describes the Holy Spirit being “upon” Moses and the elders of Israel, Joshua, judges such as Gideon and Samson, and prophets such as Elijah and Micah. He also uniquely came upon Israel’s kings, Saul and David.

Great video. I thought of two things during this:
First is that the order of things relies on our submission to oneness in the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:11-13). If you think about it, being in our own accord is chaotic; it’s all over the place. It’s like water being pour into a collider, but flowing through one source is like water through a funnel-a single stream. If we are led by one, then we don’t have division and we are assured in knowing that the one source is going to the right place.
The other thing I thought of was the mindset of the Apostles and disciples in Acts 4:23-31. The entirety of this passage points back to the Gospel and God’s sovereign plan for them, even though “signs and wonders” is bought up. It’s more about how on their own, they would not be able to do what they were doing.
As they asked for boldness to continue to spread God’s word as servants, they also placed their faith wholly in God, knowing that His sovereign plan would continue by saying, “30 while you stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders are performed through the name of your holy servant Jesus. 31 And when they had prayed, the place in which they were gathered together was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak the word of God with boldness.”
What’s easily misplaced, especially these days in charismatic churches, is the object of desire. A question that must be asked is what is the objective? Are we asking for God’s sovereign will to be done according to and by Him alone or are we seeking the ability for us to perform signs and wonders that come from God? It’s a subtle difference but the object is changed from “God’s will to” to the “ability for us to” do something by God.
I believe people tend to sidestep the fear and sovereignty that God desires. This is done while in search of His power. It’s also done in His name so as to appear to be righteous, but in my opinion, it’s more likely that selfishness is the motive with the intention of goodness-for church growth, glory, etc. but we are putting our will above God’s will and misplacing faith.
Lastly, I think that charismatic churches and circles are doubling down on what is expected as workings of the Holy Spirit-the ability to speak in tongues, the ability to perform miracles, or operate in a supernatural way. I, and others who are waking up to this, have come to the more clear realization that the only expectation we can be sure of is that without Christ, we are doomed. Christ is more than enough for any of our needs.
    (2 Corinthians 4:7-18)
We have it easy and we want it easier. We are complacent so we want some excitement. We are unprepared because we don’t know the word, which is the Sword of the Spirit. We ought to be humbled and content, relying on our faith in God‘s power and will more than Christianity based on what He can do for us with a sprinkle of the gospel and faith.

    5:30
So Holy Spirit filled David became King of Israel. He signed with Bathsheba and prayer that the Lord wouldn’t take away the Holy Spirit from him.

Sorry, put q name on it as i do not require any nameless gkd. Either come with name Identity card and ww settle tge problem if there's any mistaken identity. To say that god doesn't have a name is to wqy that you don't know who yiu worshipping as well as placing alliance with whoever you want. And glorify whoever yiu want but juat put it in q contract and be responsible.
