Great again this, you are both very natural at this it comes across really well. I’ve watched the first half I’ll watch the other half tonight - keep it up guys well done 👍🏻👍🏻
Amazing podcast again, i feel honoured to be mentioned! As a keen cyclist and a runner, the thing about running is that it is accessible and much cheaper than cycling. Trolls are not worth your time i had my fair share, i was a big bloke and one person said "you dont look like a runner". At the time that hurt, now i use it for fuel, i am also likely faster than them now anyway! Keep trucking guys. Also a big thing for myself is imposter syndrome i get this professionally and in running (and to a lesser extent cycling) i compare myself to world cup racers and can get down. Psychosocial is on my race playlist!
20 mins in so far, keep doing these gents!, dropping a comment for the algorithm! Freddy I had a UA-cam channel in 2011 with 20k subs and I know the feeling when all your friends and family find out and it can feel uncomfortable but its mostly in your own head, no one actually cares and life is too short so don't let them win, and anyone that does care they are probably projecting their own insecurities on to you so ignore them. You are doing something really great here and you keep saying a tiny channel which is definitely something you should remove from your vocabulary because think about it, tiny relative to who/what?? You are a big channel! Imagine 1600 people on a park run for some perspective! :)
Thanks Tom! I like to call it tiny, so I don’t get carried away with myself - the vision of 1600 people at a ParkRun is a scary number! 😬 Did you close your channel down?
@@freddyruns I understand that! Well it is this channel you will see I have many subs still remaining but no videos anymore, I stopped as I had to focus on my job and other things, was a fun couple of years though and I admire anyone who starts and stays consistent as I know how hard it is to put yourself on the internet!
Another great episode lads! Pretty sure you timed it to be released just in time for my long run on the treadmill, so thanks for that 😂 the time flew by! I dont use Spotify, but the tune in my headphones that always picks my pace up is Knights Of The Jaguar by DJ Rolando - Pete Tong and the Heritage Orchestra released a great version of it on UA-cam a while back, I'm sure Spotify will have a copy as well.
As always great video Freddy been following you since the start and Scott is right you have lost a lot of weight..I know exactly what the test was you did when you ran one and a half miles in 6m 52 secs!! Great time.keep at it mate.
Excellent episode chaps. I think it was Goran Winblad who recently finished his running streak by mistake. I can't blame him for not starting up again right away 😅
Carbohydrates are the crucial thing to get. Make sure you are getting carbs the night before a long run, and in the morning. Maurten Gels are what all the top runners use. My fueling for a half this morning at 9am was a bowl of porridge with a banana in it at 6am. Followed by a Gel at about 7am. I had a gel in my pocket during the race, but didn't need it. For a marathon I’d be taking a gel every three miles. Getting fueling right meant I didn't hit the wall in four Marathon’s last year, while previously I did trying to use Jelly Babies etc. A real skill to master 😊
@@RonnieRavioli I don’t use any sort of pause to be honest. Although, when my runs important to Strava, they seem to remove the stops - they show an Elapsed Time and a Moving Time. So, even if I sit down and have a break during a long run, my watch keeps going- but Strava removes the stationary part (on garmin connect, the stationary parts are still there)…. Hope that made sense
Hi Freddy, what is your take on treadmill training? Just for me the conditions are never going to always be perfect for a run so i was thinking of purchasing a treadmill
I’m no expert, but I am looking to get one myself for the bad weather days. I tend to run slower on a treadmill, no idea why… also, Zwift makes it a little more fun too 👍
A good listen chaps, thanks. Re dirty running shoes.... my non race shoes wear their dirt as a badge of honour 😂. Got a pair of ASICS superblast with 300 miles on the clock that look like they've been tatty picking. My aim is to make them even dirtier as they approach retirement...... It's what they'd want 😂
Well done guys, really nice and authentic episode.
Thanks Pablo
Another great pod! Still just halfway in but enjoying it!
Cheers Joe! We’ll book you in soon 😎👍
@@freddyruns sounds good mate! Keep the eps coming!

Great podcast chaps with lots of relatable content. Good luck today Scott, hope the injury behaves itself.
Thanks Gary! I did it and then some! Not sure how but smashed my PB by 20 mins 😂🎉😂
Cheers Gary! 💯👍

I reckon you could easily do a 10 year streak Freddy...
Remove yourself from the comments section!!!!!
I can fully get behind this idea Andy! 😂
I am not much of a watch pauser, though everyone I see does it... unless I am on a programme that doesn't auto pause when I stop (if that makes sense)
I’m with you on this one Ronnie! The one time I actually paused and it was while out on a social run with Freddy! Caught red handed 🤦♂️
Scott’s a pauser, he’s just embarrassed he got caught 🤣
@@freddyruns I do have to seriously think about pausing. Do you use an auto-pause Freddy? I think without an autopause then I would be a pauser.
