Stage 3: 04:03 - 09:38
Stage 4: 09:38 - 16:18
Stage 5: 16:18 - 22:28

Stage 8: 31:48 - 36:03
Stage 9: 36:03 - 41:41
Stage A: 41:41 - 46:17
Ending: 46:17 - 48:53
Sypha is so glass cannon in this game that even her cloak/skin looks like a glass
That's what being turned to stone does. While you're petrified it polishes your skin and clothes. So when your unpetrified, your skin and clothes are nice and shiny
When in the ending Sypha is revealed to be female (despite being listed as male in the manual and in in-game dialogue), in a weird way it's kinda like Samus in Metroid, when you think of it.
[Add on] DAYUM! You didn't take a single hit!
The game/manual was written to keep the secret. Not even Trever knew.
Until Castlevania Judgement I Realized This.
Strangely enough,I always considered Sypha a female.Unlike Samus, which was covered by armor, you can kinda see Sypha's "feminine"sides, like the way she is dressed(I always thought she looks like Virgin Mary) and the fact that when she dies, her"oofff"si different than the others, softer,in a way.And the fact that she seems very gracious and delicate
except Samus was meant that way, and the translation from this was just messed up.
@VerumRex It's my all time favorite ending from Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse as well
Damn, I'm just seeing this after watching the anime. The anime did a great job of capturing a lot of good shit. Wasn't expecting to see Sypha being transformed back to human from stone.
This masterpiece was in my opinion far ahead of its time. Music sounds quite catchy, and the attention to detail the developers gave this game was quite good. The only drawbacks to this game was the stiff controls that mad the game very difficult, and the cheap falling deaths that this game was notorious for. Other than that, it’s an amazing, enjoyable game, once you learn how to, and not to tap your controller.
Apparently the Japanese version was a massive step up from this one. It used a different sound chip that made arcade game sounding music instead of 8-bit music and it was also much easier. Nintendo purposely made III's American release difficult because they didn't want people renting it and beating it in a weekend and never buying it. It's actually on the collection and I'm gonna try it out after I play SOTN.
After all these years I never knew Syfa was SO BADASS! You didn't even need the porkchops...🍖🍗 Good job!!
Wow that waterfall effect around 37:20 was actually really cool for 8bit nintendo
Sypha is the best character in this game in my opinion. She absolutely destroys bosses like they are nothing even Dracula.
I also like the ending because: After looking up the Belmont Family Tree, I find Trevor & Sypha married & birthed... A son, I think? I forget how many children, and of which gender, they have.
But I honestly think the "With Sypha" ending is the *Best* (And True) ending to this game.
@@Alysa-Aiday nah man it be alucard. the netflix show really made him my fave charector
What about Grant? He's got a small knife. Clearly he's the best!
@@atticus5106 He can even throw knives on the Japanese version
@@Alysa-Aiday Actually, I think the true ending is a combination of all of them--it's just the limits of the NES forced you to only have one partner at a time.
This has to be in the top 10 best NES games.
And hardest.
Hate hate hate those crows...40:16. Also, to add to my comment, it's amazing how much power Sypha has for every heart spent. You barely had to use any hearts against either of death's forms. Yet, Grant/Trevor would have used 30 or more easy.
Crows ravens. Ugh! They sure can P”ss you off.
Sypha *NEEDS* to be added as a fighter in Smash Bros Ultimate. Just a glass cannon with elemental powers...
If so then Alejandra Reynoso should return as her!
@@JohnSkellington yes.
My dad and I just beat this game today after all these years
The Owl portion was the bane of my existence
Use the cross boomerang for those.
I love how they first try to make you think Syfa is a man by asking:
Take *him* with you?
Leave *him* behind?
This game like many other nes titles, were so incredible yet so difficult that it took days and weeks of practice before you can really start enjoying it, this one is probably one of most worth it games to do so
Best Xmas present that year and my favorite character!!
how are you so good at games.
Marcelo Zuniga What makes you think it's tool-assisted?
@@Lord_Muggs the no damage. Not even top speedrunners play this well.
@@lucaslayton3974 Speedrunners take damage intentionally, (for speed boosts and such). I can't really tell if its tool assisted, but he does say its "my run" and the gameplay is not the fastest route. He knows the game well enough to grab the right candles and if you watch a lot of his judgement are easy to make if you know the game well enough.
I find that path easier than Alucard.
I've been playing this game in the Castlevania Anniversary Collection, and not nearly as well as you, I might add. To quote Danny Glover, I'm getting too old for this, uh, crap.
Ok older Ted Mosby
El héroe Trevor a rescatar a la prisionera Sypha y a la vez la princesa en peligro
So glad I bought Dracula's Curse recently
Did anyone notice how sypha was mentioned as a guy at 9:23 but as a girl in the end?
Is because she diguise of a guy because lisa was been sacrifided so she do that to walk around without worries.
@@amorecodandani7775 * burned at the stake
16:31 Rising level... My favorite music 🔥
Wished they remake these games. That will just be easy money in their pockets.
they should, have like a 16 bit version
Well played, using the ice magic to freeze that fireball and hop up to the next platform. Good job with the holy magic as well. I never would've guessed it worked that well on the doppelganger.
Drawback of playing as Sypha (and Grant), you can take a ton of damage and suffer real quick if you are reckless, but if you are good at this game, playing with Sypha in general and having the lighting weapon is just SO MUCH FUN to wreck enemies with.
You are an awesome game player!!!!
So, Castlevania I with different music.
Take HIM with you?
Leave HIM behind?
😂😂😂😂
It was meant to come as a shock to the player and Trevor when it revealed that sypha was a woman. It was even hidden in cv3 manual. But yh they go on the have kids etc
@@balegda "Wait, what?! Syfa is a chick?!" Was my first reaction to the reveal of Syfa. Due to the fact (as far as I can remember) the game doesn't give any hint that Syfa is a woman before the ending
I know the real spelling is "Sypha" but in the game her name is spelled "Syfa"
Even with sypha, i only made it to the 3th boss of the final level, those bags just interrups my way, they’re just so annoying.
I just can't stand those bags, they ruin everything.
You talking about those platforms?? Lord those things are annoying as hell.
Sharkbyte399 probably died for the fourd time
Damn I hated the ship as a kid.
Sypha is very strong
lol. Sypha is waaaay overpowered.
An auto scroller in castlevania? Oh no!
Maybe if you watch the Japanese version of Castlevania III, you'll notice that the music feels different. At that time, it was the BGM of the highest degree of perfection.

De rescatada Sypha, cambia a la rotisima Sypha, es demasiado poderosa 👩💼🥰🥰💞💞💞❤️🥰💝👩💼💕💕🤘👰🥰💟😘💖⭐💌💌🥰❤️🥰💝👩💼💕♥️💝👰🥰♥️

In my opinion Sypha is the weakest in form but strongest in attacks.
I don't think that's a matter of opinion.
That's common in Castlevania. In Rondo of Blood, Maria is also a glass cannon.
jumping on frozen fire? What sorcery is this? wow
Man, you are patient. I would have gotten and used ball lightning all the way across the bridge.
For Geniuses out there stuck and frustrated with searches looking for simple answers.
Get Grant by taking the first decision top area to the clock tower to get Grant.
To get Syfa, Take the bottom area instead, go right when you reach the top stairs with 2 ways to go, path decision 2, pick the top one to get her.
To get Alucard, for path 1, choose the bottom, when you get to the top of the stairs, go left, then choose the bottom from path 2 and after a swamp, you will get to the catacombs where you get Alucard.
Also important to mention that if you want to keep Grant, you can't accept Sypha or Alucard.
47:00 it's just like what Sypha said in the anime...
24:18 Mei vs. Reinhardt
I appreciate you for providing this bit of nostalgia.
anyone else notice that when you first meet her the game spell Sypha, Syfa?
Sypha's path had the best levels in the game. The Alucard path on the other hand has "THAT" level (we all know which one).
Stage 7-01 Morbid Mountains
The falling blocks were on the 5th block on that level!!
The waterfall stage looks like a pain
You are a bad-ass. Look at you go!
Magic
41:49
Egyptian magic
I remember 💯👌🏽
Love her. Who needs Richter Belmont. Or Simon. Or Trevor. Her lightning spheres beyond op! I like your video but difference in how I used to kill Dracula from you is he would die in one hit first form. U just stand there instead of gettin close and one shot him with the spheres.
Holy spirit
Wait Syfa was a dude?
Nah that was a mistranslation
@@POSSUM_chowg They may have been trying to make you think Syfa was a man. At least, until the end of the game
NETFLIX'S CASTLEVANIA
You missed the 1up above you on the ledge right at 39:33. =P
9:22 sypha is Refered to as him?! Japanese typo or sypha identifies with a different gender pronouns? You be the judge!
A typo in the English.
It could be they're trying to make you think Syfa is a man at that point. Then at the end of the game, they reveal Syfa is a woman
