I played this game for months until I managed to complete it XD She sadly passed away early last year, and whenever I listen to this song, I always look back on memories with her. She didn’t speak much English and she suffered from dementia, so she always thought I was either 10 year old me or her long deceased nephew; but seeing her almost every weekend, having lunch with her and watching movies together were the best part of my childhood, teenage and early adult years. Uhg this game. When I first played it I was about 20, and my puggo I had since I was a kid was getting old as heck and very sick, I knew she didn't have much time left. I had wrapped her up in a blanket and sat her next to me on the couch, and she was happily snoring away as I booted up this game. I knew nothing about it, a friend had recommended it. I realized you could choose a pug as a dog breed, and I was already in tears. That was the saddest, sweetest game playthrough I've ever done. And heck, if this doesn't bring me right back there.

Looking back on it now, I realize how dark the game really was and I can appreciate it for more than just being that silly children's game that I used to play

micah ingram this and Cats & Dogs “Revenge of Kitty Galore” (along with Pom Pom gets WiFi lol) made my childhood. I always used to imagine my chihuahua, Mitzi n’ this big doggo named Blaze my aunt owned as famous country singers/actors/dancers/theater drama dogs by day and spy policedogs by night. Mitzi and Blaze lived together in a pink floating bubble for some reason and Mitzi had a garden full of pixel flowers that she tended to everyday. The pixel flowers were some kinda.. rare.. legendary plant.. yeah.. I got that from Dog Island lol Anyways.. Blaze was fairly lazy, and would tell her to do everything while he slept the day away until night.. the time where he had to go to work with Mitzi. Mitzi could work with little to no sleep, opposite to Blaze cause he couldn’t. I remember imagining whenever Blaze got scared, he’d jump up into Mitzi’s arms like Scooby Doo. I loved those doggo shows/things when I was lil, so I incorporated many of the things from em into my lil world I created. Anyways- why I just write all this? It’s 5:17 AM I should really get going lol

I've been in a really dark time for a while so I came to this song for nostalgia and I didn't expect to start BAWLING. I feel so happy and hopeful. I learnt how to read because of this game. I was born in January, 2006 and taught myself how to read after my mam got tired of reading the dialogue to me. The memories I experienced can always be reminded because of this song. Looking back on this now as a 12 year old, I can remember when I was four or five playing this game and singing along to the lyrics and tears come to my eyes as a feeling of absolute joy shakes me. My heart is aching and I'm literally quivering as I remember making my older sister read the words for me because I hadn't learned to read or write yet. it brings back memories I will forever cherish, yet at the same time a tinge of sadness and pain at the complete and total innocence I once held along with being naïve to all the wrongs in the world...Live in the moment and love life, it never lasts. I've been in a really dark time for a while so I came to this song for nostalgia and I didn't expect to start BAWLING. I feel so happy and hopeful. I learnt how to read because of this game. I was born in January, 2006 and taught myself how to read after my mam got tired of reading the dialogue to me. The memories I experienced can always be reminded because of this song.

Looking back on this now as a 12 year old, I can remember when I was four or five playing this game and singing along to the lyrics and tears come to my eyes as a feeling of absolute joy shakes me. My heart is aching and I'm literally quivering as I remember making my older sister read the words for me because I hadn't learned to read or write yet. it brings back memories I will forever cherish, yet at the same time a tinge of sadness and pain at the complete and total innocence I once held along with being naïve to all the wrongs in the world...Live in the moment and love life, it never lasts.
You only get that kind of complete innocence from the world once, and when you do have it, you don't even know.
