I really enjoy these. I like the game crashing anti-piracy screens followed by a "piracy bad" message with spooky music too. But Micah adds some creative flair to his anti-piracy screens.
Most superb editing skills I've ever seen. Looks to me like micah took some genuine footage and then through editing took it down some dark turns. Very well done. Also that "sick with scurvy" joke was actually super well executed because pirates were often heard being called "scurvy dogs".

Back when things like oranges and lemons were rare, however, it was a killer: skin would tear easily, teeth would rot, and in severe cases, blood could stop clotting and forming scabs, so wounds would be open to infection. I might be screwed up for saying this, but this is probably my favorite anti-piracy screen that I've seen so far. No cheap jumpscares, no excessive glitch effects, it just lets you get attached to your dog and throws it all away.
The best parts about it is no jumpscares, no screams, just they kill your dog and the ending is, just sad but it sends chills down my spine every time.
The absolute subtleness in this video is the scariest part. The small sound glitch at the start. The fact that the announcer during the dog show just seems to stop talking for no reason. The raspy dog sounds. Im traumatised now.
Here's an off-the-wall idea: do one for Math Blaster, specifically the super-obscure DS port. Maybe something like, you get an impossible equation with negative infinity or something like that, and then the piracy message says something like "Piracy and video games don't add up" or something like that, I'unno.

When I was a kid this happened to my younger cousin. He was crying one day and I was confused, but my mother told me. It turned out, according to my mother, my uncle took business trips to China a lot and inadvertently and accidentally bought pirated copies of games.
First of all, Nintendo's full of greedy jerks to begin with. Secondly, the quote sounds just like something PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) would say.
Some anti-piracy things are mildly intimidating. The screen with straightforward text, no music (or even normal music), it's enough to give a person chills if done just right. But this? This is art. It REALLY shames the use of piracy. It hits, and it hits brutally. As someone who used to love playing Nintendogs, this almost made me cry. It's so effective. The sounds make it even sadder. Pretty genius if you ask me! Honestly this might be the best fanmade anti-piracy measure I have ever seen!

As unrealistic as this is, (because even if messing with Pirates, I highly doubt Nintendo would have players dogs die) It is the sadest. The fact it gives you time to emotionally attach to your dog is the worst feeling ever. Another clever idea would be to have you dog refuse to listen to you. Like growling when you call it, trying to bite you (which does happen in game if you hold your dogs paw up too long), having you be unable to control the dog on a walk, your dog always gets along poorly with other dogs, etc. And the game can say "*dogs name* won't listen to a pirate!"

The only thing I can think about is if the player actually has a husky named Zeus. If he's a young enough child he might think he killed his real dog
As someone who has played a LOT of nintendogs, and is a big lover of dogs, this is sad.
When I was a kid this happened to my younger cousin. He was crying one day and I was confused, but my mother told me. It turned out, according to my mother, my uncle took business trips to China a lot and inadvertently and accidentally bought pirated copies of games.
That's so sad

Some anti-piracy things are mildly intimidating. The screen with straightforward text, no music (or even normal music), it's enough to give a person chills if done just right.
But this? This is art. It REALLY shames the use of piracy. It hits, and it hits brutally. As someone who used to love playing Nintendogs, this almost made me cry. It's so effective. The sounds make it even sadder.
Pretty genius if you ask me! Honestly this might be the best fanmade anti-piracy measure I have ever seen!

I love how the game lets you spend decent time with your dog, then goes like “oop ur dog is dead welp”
You know, despite still having and playing this game, this brings me back regardless.
There's a problem with the gravestone: It says 2020 - 2020 but you can often see that the dog lives in 2013.
Also "Zeus" is sometimes named "Stalin". One example is at 2:07

As unrealistic as this is, (because even if messing with Pirates, I highly doubt Nintendo would have players dogs die) It is the sadest. The fact it gives you time to emotionally attach to your dog is the worst feeling ever.
Another clever idea would be to have you dog refuse to listen to you. Like growling when you call it, trying to bite you (which does happen in game if you hold your dogs paw up too long), having you be unable to control the dog on a walk, your dog always gets along poorly with other dogs, etc. And the game can say "*dogs name* won't listen to a pirate!"

This has to be one of the best fake anti piracy screens i’ve seen yet. Clever execution. Maybe you could try doing one of New Super Mario Bros?
The coolest part, to be honest, is that the RIP screen isn’t part of the game, it’s fanmade yet still looks realistic for the game
