It absolutely blows my mind that a single person can craft such a deep and beautiful game. Guy's got to be super multi-talented, covering all aspects such as both art, programming, and gameplay design. Kudos to him and I look forward to playing this. Thanks Morph for your coverage on the game as well!
I have a feeling this game is going to grow into something magnificent in time. Proper castles and sieges with this level of detail would be incredible.
I've been talking about a game that works like this for a long time with my friends, but in the world wars era, and being multiplayer/MMO-esque. This game looks amazing, and by one guy! Bravo!
the fact that this is coming out within a week of Thrones of Decay for total war warhammer 3 is incredible. Both historical and fantasy rts gamers eating good this month gang
I'm so excited to finally get this game in my hands been waiting for sooo long i just hope its not gonna be expensive. though more then happy to support the dev.
5 years after Star Citizen Kickstarter, This Guy start creating this game, ALONE, and manage to build an entire beauty, 7 years later we can play this, 14 years later we still think it's normal that SC is going no where
I've known about this for less than two mins. First impression is like Banished with Bannerlord. Just the graphics are insanely to my liking. Oh lord. Greg.
I don't normally play these kind of top down (CMS) town building games, but the hype around this game is so big I'm thinking about getting it; and seeing what's it all about.
I hope in the future your troops persue the routed enemy units to increase casualties. Would be cool if you have to fight a second wave if too many escape.
I love a good early acess but this is one game I'm excited to wait for the full 1.0 game. It reminds me of knights and merchants but for the 21st century
This feels like a real successor to the OG stronghold. Not that china mobile crap from a few years ago that a whole studio was making. It gives me 3 vibes. Stronghold OG. Age of empires 1 or 2 en total war battle map in one. Sort of a hybrid but very cool
I’m a software developer, focused on backend business software. Just understanding one domain of a product or service in the stack is a lot of time/energy in itself. To create an entire full featured video game like this as one person is absurd.
Well, it's not really one person, but impressive nonetheless *Are you truly working on this alone?* - I'm the only permanent studio member, but I do cooperate more and more with freelancers. Sometimes I buy assets to speed up the development (eg. Megascans), and recently I partnered with a professional QA company called QLOC. I also have a publisher - Hooded Horse - who takes care of the marketing and distribution.
I do t think people know how long we rts people have been waiting for this. Since shogun total war for me, playing on my dads shitty HP laptop on weekends when mom let him have us kids. Fast forward to yesterday I bought a pc for roughly 1800 and am ready to Manor!
"It's not just about city building like games like Falling Frontier" Are you talking about Falling Frontier the space strategy and combat game? Or is there some other falling frontier I'm unaware of?
Yeah, classic me mistake. I meant Farthest Frontier and not Falling Frontier.
I mean can’t wait for falling frontier would love for you to do a vid on it once it’s out.
yeah, it reminds me so much about Farthest Frontier 😅
Hey does the game support Ultra wide?

I think if you have years and it's your baby, you likely learn a lot of those things on the way.
He did have some help with stuff, but he still a large majority which is insane
Well that is not true. As impressive as it is, he has hired freelancers to help him with some aspects of the game as far as I understand.
@@eragon96grasel With some aspects yes, but the majority of the game is still done by him. Which is a phenomenal act
He probably has that thingy Hermione uses in third year to attend all classes.
Thanks Greg
Good guy Greg is Baaaaaack

My favorite UA-camr talking about my most anticipated game??? These videos are great, you should make more non SC videos!!
I have a feeling this game is going to grow into something magnificent in time. Proper castles and sieges with this level of detail would be incredible.
One of the best looking city builders I’ve ever seen… I still play the first early access once in awhile because it looks so good.
FINALLY! a true successor to Stronghold!
my thoughts exactly, stronghold legends was one of my favorite games of all time
1 person dev? Visuals look absolutely incredible!
This looks like its shaping up to be a real gem :)
Actually really excited. Played the demo back then as well and really enjoyed it already
Great video, and so good to see new footage :) Cheers!
Love that you make reviews of RTS games too, I first got into Manor Lords from Raptor's channel
It does look great, and I look forward to playing the full-early-access-game.
Been following this game for a long time now. Can't wait!
I can't express just how comedic the announcement of "Greg" was
I've been talking about a game that works like this for a long time with my friends, but in the world wars era, and being multiplayer/MMO-esque. This game looks amazing, and by one guy! Bravo!
the formations having their own contextual tactical viability on top of all the city building aspects are just *chefs kiss*
This is what i always wanted the Stronghold series to evolve into. I hope the late game castle gets more and more granular in building it.
Ive been waiting on this game. Looks amazing.
I'm very excited for this game.
the fact that this is coming out within a week of Thrones of Decay for total war warhammer 3 is incredible. Both historical and fantasy rts gamers eating good this month gang
Can't wait for Manor Lords!
I didn't know you would cover this! Thanks for doing a publication of right développer!
Thanks for the reminder Morph. Let Greg know I wishlisted the game based on your recommendation.
EDIT: Also, "Nussloke." Nice.
Wow this game looks amazing, and to hear its being made 1 or 2 people is actually insane. Definitely gonna pick this up
Love the genre blend and the gridless roads and land plots.
been waiting on this one since the early days...it looks amazing but I hope they at least release a 4 player co-op or something
From FAQ on Discord:
12. Multiplayer?
- I want to polish the single-player experience first.
Total war execs: He made this in a CAVE!!! Out of scraps!!!
I can't wait!!
ALMOST HEREEEEE
I'm so excited to finally get this game in my hands been waiting for sooo long i just hope its not gonna be expensive. though more then happy to support the dev.
5 years after Star Citizen Kickstarter, This Guy start creating this game, ALONE, and manage to build an entire beauty, 7 years later we can play this, 14 years later we still think it's normal that SC is going no where
Kinda feels like a reimagined Knights and Merchants, in a very good way.
I recall a really old Interplay game called "Castles" that might have been the ancestor of this.
Most amazing thing about it is that , the game is deep but not complex😊
Been waiting on a game like this for awhile
This is quite literally a mans life work that we get to experience. Truly excited. I only hope my PC can run it..
ive been waiting to play this game since the last play test like 7months ago cant wait to get more soon
I've known about this for less than two mins. First impression is like Banished with Bannerlord. Just the graphics are insanely to my liking. Oh lord. Greg.
I can't wait to start playing this game :)
Gives me Age of Empires and Knights of Merchants Vibes. Pretty cool
I don't normally play these kind of top down (CMS) town building games, but the hype around this game is so big I'm thinking about getting it; and seeing what's it all about.
yea same
I hope in the future your troops persue the routed enemy units to increase casualties. Would be cool if you have to fight a second wave if too many escape.
great review! now i'm going to buy it..
Imagine this game set in Sengoku period of Japan
I cannot wait for the game.
Game looks awesome! Stoked to play
Really excited to play this, since the demo came out years ago
CAN'T WAIT!!!
Morph, I saw your video on Helldivers 2 and now I'm 150+ hours into it.
Don't make me do this.
Close to this I'm also looking forward to Norland. Different graphics and different mechanics, but same theme
Great looking game. It's on my wish list already.
11:55 Wow those soldiers stand there and keep fighting a long time... I'd expect a bunch of them to die and fall down within 10-15 seconds.
I love a good early acess but this is one game I'm excited to wait for the full 1.0 game. It reminds me of knights and merchants but for the 21st century
They need to make this multiplayer.
no thanks.
It won't happen. If it's not already multiplayer the amount of work to make it so would be akin to rewriting the game from scratch
@@clonkex Get to workin'
In the FAQ it's mentioned they want to polish the Singleplayer first
The vibe with the music and art reminds me of Crusader Kings 3.
Great looking game I enjoyed the "alpha" that we played before even though it was quite challenging
I just want this type of game/game loop but in a Sci-fi setting
Indie games have been the future ever since AAA studios became what they are still today. This being made by one guy tho!? Dang that is impressive!
This should massively humble AAA studios.
Soo excited for this game.
looking forward to this game : )
Well crap: Looks like any plans I had for this summer are now out the window. Damn you Greg.
This reminds me of Castle Story
I noticed stockades around certain buildings. Can you build stockades and walls wherever you want or do they only come with specific buildings?
This feels like a real successor to the OG stronghold. Not that china mobile crap from a few years ago that a whole studio was making. It gives me 3 vibes. Stronghold OG. Age of empires 1 or 2 en total war battle map in one. Sort of a hybrid but very cool
Farthest frontier has become my favorite city builder. How does this compare?
Reminds me of the old Stronghold games.
Brilliant! Any chance of it being multiplayer in the future?
All hail Greg

Looks almost like Lords of the Realm
yasss finally a proper med-evil game

Will there be full stone castles?
Did he mean to say "City builders like Falling Frontier"? Not sure if I caught that correctly. Great preview morph!
I wish somebody would do a game like this but with the civil war concept that would be hard 💪🏾💯
I had been looking at different gameplay on it and getting hyped about it for a while, and now my SC youtuber makes a vid about it??
But what kind of spaceship do you start out with?
If you kill enemy troops can you collect thier weapons and armour?
I miss stronghold lol
This game looks amazing though!
Looks an awful lot like Settlers of Catan on 6 shots of Espresso.
Been on my wish list in steam o7 😎👍
Im ngl, kinda mad that 1 month before the game releases I get to watch every youtuber play it.
It’s like everyone has forgotten how long Civilization has been around to just not mention it.
unlock trading perk that removes trade embargo, from 12 to 2/4
Looks promising
"It's not just about city building like games like Falling Frontier"
Are you talking about Falling Frontier the space strategy and combat game? Or is there some other falling frontier I'm unaware of?
saw the store page list no coop/mutiplayer?
I really want a revival of Mount and Blade so bad. The dev don't update the game no more.
Really, really, reeeeally excited for this game. Suck it university and magnetic resonance bla bla test, I dont wanna study, Im gonna game.
If they don't plan on it, they really need to make it mod friendly.
Am I excited? No. Hey, you asked. 😁
This game looks awesome, but I am new to this genre. I hope it has a tutorial mode.
What about we fire whole cig and hire this guy? He seems way more predictive
So this is like visually enhanced stronghold essentialy
I got my hands on a guys a early copy
im gonna play the hell out of this game.
Sort of like a perfected children of the nile
How!! I need this!!!!!
