That sounds cool. The idea that’s been bouncing around in my head is one set in Summerset Isle, and then you can join the Thalmor or a resistance against them. I didn’t play a ton of ESO, but I did see a good bit of Summerset and I thought it looked cool. And I also like the idea of introducing more Altmer that are opposed to the Thalmor, since I feel like a lot of people act like they’re just the same thing now. The Skyrim character I spent the most time on was a rogue-ish High Elf with the head canon that she was fleeing the Thalmor after they killed her husband for speaking out.
I know it’s basically impossible that everything here would be included in its entirety in Elder Scrolls 6. But it would be really nice to have some of it. Emperor Urien Alexor Mede already sounds like a very fascinating character that I would love to see be a real figure in Imperial history.
… Holy heck. Not just Drew giving us 4 hours on lore for the Nords, but now come 6 hours of FudgeMuppet goodness?! You guys are awesome! Can’t wait to give this a good long listen. Also, great name for the game!
On the City Orc: additionally, while city or imperialized orcs won't know about stronghold culture, there may be few who decide to reconnect with their heritage and study it, perhaps even going so far as to find and speak to stronghold chiefs or liaisons to document their findings, collect orc relics, and make other efforts to keep orc heritage alive in spirit and memory, although they may not themselves live like them. Some might even have small shrines to Malacath, not so much for worship alongside the divines, but to enhance the memory of heritage. Maybe Malacath tolerates this, because it enhances his overall power and helps maintains his foothold in Mundus.
Yeah, I really don’t expect anything from this video to come to fruition. Someone at Bethesda, like Emil Pagliarulo, will likely either never see this or will go “wElL tHaT’s NoT hOw GaMe DeVeLoPmEnT wOrKs” and disregard most of it. Or maybe they can’t even use these ideas in the first place for some legal reason. No matter what, I just know it won’t resemble anything like in the video, and we’ll get something far closer to Starfield quality-wise.
Yeah it's really weird they started the video by asking it to be shared with Bethesda, because if someone at Bethesda actually saw this video they'd be very strongly discouraged from doing anything it recommends just because it could in theory open them up a very expensive lawsuit for taking someone else's ideas.
The Racial Skill Tree idea is beautiful. I love all of the thought you've put into making each character and playthrough feel truly unique. I feel like ES games have slowly been removing choice each game since DaggerFall.
I’ve had this video in the background as I do chores and study these past few days, it’s amazing hearing all these ideas for our ideal game. I truly hope Bethesda learns from their falls and makes a gem of a game. I’m at hour 3 hearing about the world building and I gotta say I’m loving it, keep up the amazing work Fudgemuppet, been seeing you guys since like 2014!
Y’al didn’t have to go this hard!! This video is legendary. Appreciate all the hard work. Must have been fun to live in this world in your mind for this long.
Something I'd like to see for equipment is a sort of layering system. Similar to Kingdom Come Deliverance or Dragons Dogma (the first one). Like where you've got a clothing layer, under armor, plate, tabards, etc. have some really customizable outfits and gear. Idk how exactly to balance enchantments around that though, maybe you can only slot one enchanted item per bodypart (head, chest, arms, legs, ring + necklace), with the exception of some unique equipment. Or maybe you can only enchant certain equipment types/layers at certain enchanting skill levels or with certain perks. Also, I really hope they update and innovate with the combat systems. Love Skyrim, but it felt out of date when it came out. I will suffer through it if I have to though, I love the world of elder scrolls too much not to play ES6, but it'd be nice to have all the bredth of a Bethesda game with intricate and engaging systems to match
I know it’s not going to happen but I’ve always thought it would be cool if ES6 was called “The Elder Scrolls VI: Dominion” but they actually went all out and made it take place in Elsweyr, Valenwood, AND Summerset since they’re all fairly small provinces and it’s all about taking down the thalmor from the inside. I know they’re almost definitely going to do hammerfell but i can dream
I want there to be a soft-cap for what top tiers of factions we can get to. Like maybe if I've gotten enough infamy, no matter what accomplishments I do in the Fighters Guild, I am never going to be offered Guild-Leader status, due to my infamous past, but maybe I still qualify to be on the Guild Leader's inner council. Also, I want a mage's guild that feels like an actual school. Where I need to either train under a mentor or take on my own apprentices before I can be part of the Mage's Council or whatever. I don't just want to be doing Indiana Jones, but with magic, or fighting evil wizards, I want it to feel like... well a guild, a place where people train, exchange tricks, and impart knowledge to newer members.
The player being the leader of several faction or even just one was always ridiculous. The position of an organization leader is like 90 % paperwork and politics. They'd have zero time to just up and disappear to adventure for weeks on end; and if they did the organization would swiftly replace them. Getting into an inner council are being offered an honored advisor position should be the the highest rank the player can get.
This is an incredible video and should be required viewing for developers of the elder scrolls 6, this is what the community is passionate about and what make these games so great.
One thing I definitely think would benefit from being taken from ESO and applied to TES6 is the concept of motifs. Motifs could be collectibles and part of a smithing skill line that would basically allow one to find, research and then make armour in a particular style, being completely cosmetic and allowing variation to things like steel armour. For example a set of Breton steel armor would be the more knightly plate where a set of Nordic steel armor would have the furs and Nordic carving patterns while still functioning the same stat wise. It’d add immersion for crafting characters to be able to make the weapons and armour they’d prefer if they’re perhaps proud of their culture, or maybe with for instance Dwemer armor spend a lot of time studying the aesthetics, even if they can’t yet shape dwarven metal.
It's been 10 years? Damn i was like beginning my A-levels when i watched one and now i'm engaged by this one wtf. Legit got a second ideal ES6 video before a ES6 lol
This is unrelated, but I haven’t finished the video yet. Can you guys bring back the Elder Scrolls podcast? I miss listening to you guys debate about ES stuff 😂
Wow this is incredible guys, I can’t wait to watch. Also it’s crazy that that was 10 years years ago, I personally haven’t been watching you that long but it’s almost that, maybe about 8-9 years. Honestly your guys videos have helped me out when I’m going through stuff throughout the years so thank you. I really enjoy your content and it’s been great to see your channel and you guys kind of grow and develop over the years.
I personally disagree on the point of not having a separate spell slot button, I would even extend it to have a dedicated block button as well. Why hear me out. Having muiltible slots for different weapons and options just adds to the gameplay, making sure you dont have to switch around every single second. For the magica slot I would also add the option to place other suff here like small throwing weapons or a potion quick slot. This way it doesn't have to be used as a spammy heal magic button for a non magic build while still giving more options. I would still say that equipping spells in your hands like skyrim should also still stay possible, for full mages it would be cool to have 3 spells equipped and you won't be forced into battlemage. By makkng the block and offhand separate you also give more options. In my opinion it always felt weird to this quick and achille character with two swords but I still had to tank damage because I couldn't block. To give two handed weapons still something to do in the ofhand I would suggest a special attack, for example a murderhaul with a great sword that would function something like a warhammer attack but weaker. Spellcatsers I would aslo not let out here, by giving the option to place wards here as well. Personally I think this options will just add to the diversity of characters you can create but not make it overcomplicated.
I the idea of different factions for each play style, and that can be a way to have exclusive factions. Examples in Skyrim would be letting you choose whether to join the circle and be a werewolf warrior, or join the silver hand and try to eliminate the werewolves in order to a more pure nord warrior. Also the dark brotherhood versus the Penitus Occulatus, just actually fleshing out the PO actually have their own story. Deciding to be an either a more sneaky thief with the theives guild and blackbriars, or instead join a more mercenary group aligned with the silver bloods. And then lastly for mages have one group being a school like the college that focuses on learning, or something like house telvanni where there’s more of an emphasis on being the best
This is a loooooooong video so I'm going to be making comments as I watch. Firstly, I would really love it if, for side quests, they did like in Oblivion whereby a quest to deliver 5 eggs to Grobag gro Shunk's sister in Choral turns into an epic adventure about busting a skooma smuggling ring's operations in the Imperial City. By comparison, the same quest in Skyrim would have ended in lameness and disappointment because you'd have delivered the eggs, been handed 50 septims and that would've been it.
When ES6 comes out and inevitably disappoints almost everyone, someone should go through this video and mod in everything included here as one big mod or package of mods, easy to install and play as FudgeMupped envisioned.
I want the main story to be completely absent until midgame, then through casual play and finding factions to get into it leads into one of various endings
in terms of romance i think a good example would be a local lord or lady seeking a consort preferably of nobility but with caveats of: being rich, be a renowned warrior or hero, be a high ranking member of a desired alliance/faction, being beautiful/handsome, or having a really high int/speechcraft skill and seducing them. maybe being a renowned warrior means the nobleman/noblewoman might make you their marshal or captain of the guard if they dont already have one. if you are a powerful wizard maybe you become a court mage/enchanter/alchemist and they ask you to brew powerful potions, enchant artifacts or clothing for them or cast a charm spell for them. a very niche thing would be the ability for offspring which would have to be done right or itd be weird. maybe it does the whole fade to black and it skips a few weeks and the noble lady is with child and over the course of your adventure the pregnancy will progress and eventually you will have a child or your own who will one day rule this fiefdom. maybe in cases where either your races are incompatible or maybe one of you are to old so you have to adopt a child or find a family member suitable to become heir. i realised this got kinda weird... oops
It may not be TES6 but just imagine a CRPG, Baldurs Gate 3/Divinity style game set on Nirn. That would be awesome. I just hope Bethesda takes notes from recent successes like BG3 instead of where Starfield went.
I remember getting blue-balled when I checked out the dead mans rest creation with anniversary and found the fast travel map in the living space on the ship, I thought you could actually travel to the harbour in those cities with the ships
Honestly, it would be great if you actually got to join the Aldmeri Dominion. I know it's a long shot but, those within its ranks have their reasons for joining , for better or for worse. Granted, I'm sure if you did, they'd make it so you're a "Hero of Alinor" and manage to end the oppressive Regime of the Thalmor, but you'd still get to run the Dominion outside of Imperial rule. I've hoped that mayhaps an "Altmeri Civil War" would occur, and you either chose to side with the Thalmor Council as they are, or to restore the original/traditional Monarchy across the Isles. Either way, you'd resist all Imperial movements and eventually the game ends with mayhaps a truce. The shattered remnants of the Empire of Man, and the fractured but healing remnants of the Aldmeri Dominion The Monarch would, of course, chose peace with the Empire on the condition that they stay out of Dominion affairs/territories.
Piece this out and post separate videos in a playlist, that way it’s more approachable for Bethesda to watch. Not sure they’ll want to commit to a 6hr video like I most definitely am going to, right now.😂😂
I beg that TES6 isn't just a sand pit and really embraces the diversity of Hammerfell. I'd love to see some really dense Jungle rainforest with ancient ruins or maybe a Petra Jordan style city carved into a desert cliff face. Just PRAYING it's not only desert sands the entire game.
One thing VI could take from eso's combat could be the way that as a dps mage you create a layered area of destruction around you. Combining aoe dots, debuffs, and spammables adds a finess to executing the build youve crafted. High level rotations in eso are like playing a piano piece with melodies playing over chords. While eso has an issue with this being a required skill to do endgame content, having it as an option in VI could bring magic to a whole new level.
In another world this game came out in a timely manner and this video was one of those 6 hour retrospective reviews in the lead-up to elder scrolls 7's release
Something i didn’t like about Skyrim, was the joinable factions and guilds didn’t really affect any gameplay outside of their respective quests. I think it would be cool have faction dependent dialogue options that become available or are locked out depending on what faction you are a part of, like in older fallout games.
Racial Skill Trees are one of my main wishes for the game. I want to make a High Elf warrior using the perks on the High Elf “warrior” branch of their skill tree, and get bonuses based on the race’s martial history that only an Altmer would have access to. Perhaps their cultural emphasis on perfection means they should have perks that pertain to critical damage, exploiting attacks and timed blocking, whereas an Orc might have warrior perks that increase execute damage or restore stamina based on excess damage on a kill.

I want the Veiled Heritance 2.0 as a faction
Yep, I like that
Nice RP
I know it’s basically impossible that everything here would be included in its entirety in Elder Scrolls 6. But it would be really nice to have some of it. Emperor Urien Alexor Mede already sounds like a very fascinating character that I would love to see be a real figure in Imperial history.
holy cow. I was wondering why you guys had been quiet lately. I think I have the answer now.
Wow! Hats off to making a 6 hour video on this! You really did your homework
… Holy heck. Not just Drew giving us 4 hours on lore for the Nords, but now come 6 hours of FudgeMuppet goodness?!
You guys are awesome! Can’t wait to give this a good long listen. Also, great name for the game!
This is great guys well worth the wait!
6 hours is crazy work.
Only 30 minutes in but i already hope bethesda are taking notes on this video
Holy crap, you weren't kidding on length of video. I had been watching for 20 minutes and decided to check. That's some effort guys!
I have a dreadful feeling Bethesda will make all the opposite decisions of the ones outlined in this video
*justified feeling
Yeah, I really don’t expect anything from this video to come to fruition. Someone at Bethesda, like Emil Pagliarulo, will likely either never see this or will go “wElL tHaT’s NoT hOw GaMe DeVeLoPmEnT wOrKs” and disregard most of it. Or maybe they can’t even use these ideas in the first place for some legal reason. No matter what, I just know it won’t resemble anything like in the video, and we’ll get something far closer to Starfield quality-wise.
If tes6 is a flop like we all get the feeling it will modders will make an enjoyable game for you
Every settlement is a blank canvas; you have to design the game from the ground up 👹
Elder Scrolls: Veilguard.
Bethesda sees all their best ideas predicted by a youtube channel, realises it will look like they took them: "well, back to the drawing board"
That would be tragic
Yeah it's really weird they started the video by asking it to be shared with Bethesda, because if someone at Bethesda actually saw this video they'd be very strongly discouraged from doing anything it recommends just because it could in theory open them up a very expensive lawsuit for taking someone else's ideas.
@@Gayd1if the idea is not patented then it’s free game
Actually this is a real thing, it's happened before in shows. If you send them ideas they legally can't use them anymore without a ton of work
Bold of you to assume they'd have these kind of great ideas in the first place.
The Racial Skill Tree idea is beautiful. I love all of the thought you've put into making each character and playthrough feel truly unique. I feel like ES games have slowly been removing choice each game since DaggerFall.
Uh-may-zing. Really got to give props for the effort to make a GOOD 6 hour video
When the world waited for a game that may never come, when the fans needed them most, they returned!
They literally did this in Daggerfall, perfected it in Morrowind, and then removed it from Oblivion.
One of the most important things, that people often forget to mention is the music. The soundtrack is 50% of what made Skyrim so epic.
For some I'm sure. I always turn off music in game. Not very immersive for me
I rate this video a 10/10 with a badass seal of approval
4:44:25 GOD I wish Emperor Urien was real. The biggest tragedy in all of this is that I won’t get to actually see this badass emperor
When I see this video, I miss your Podcast. Never found a Podcast, that is so interesting to me... :/
But thank you for this awesome video! :)
I would play a game the way you laid it out many times over.
Hopefully not a giant desert procedualy generated full of radiant quests
Proooobably more likely. Whatever though. Long as the mod support and community is there, It will be awesome 3-5 years after release.
but a giant dessert sounds tasty
Fudgemuppet finally decided “Fine, I’ll do it myself”.
These guys really saw Camel's regular video length and Drewmora's most recent one and said, "Bet."
But, no, love the channel and the content.
Wow. Fantastic job. I’m only 22min into the video and I’m like “Wow these guys have thought of everything”
Michael and Scott trading bars like Big Boi and Andre 😭 I used to pray for times like this
Amazing, I reallly like the Alik'r confedarcy and the legendary Warlord who can summon ancient Yokudan Arts.
Was a teenage when Skyrim released, can't wait to be in my late 30's when I finally can experience my first Elder Scrolls 6 bugs.
When ES6 comes out and inevitably disappoints almost everyone, someone should go through this video and mod in everything included here as one big mod or package of mods, easy to install and play as FudgeMupped envisioned.
Oh my imma just binge the video ngl
You’ll get *nothing* and be *thankful* when Toddhead releases modding tools for us to make the game ourselves
I want the main story to be completely absent until midgame, then through casual play and finding factions to get into it leads into one of various endings
in terms of romance i think a good example would be a local lord or lady seeking a consort preferably of nobility but with caveats of: being rich, be a renowned warrior or hero, be a high ranking member of a desired alliance/faction, being beautiful/handsome, or having a really high int/speechcraft skill and seducing them. maybe being a renowned warrior means the nobleman/noblewoman might make you their marshal or captain of the guard if they dont already have one. if you are a powerful wizard maybe you become a court mage/enchanter/alchemist and they ask you to brew powerful potions, enchant artifacts or clothing for them or cast a charm spell for them.
a very niche thing would be the ability for offspring which would have to be done right or itd be weird.
maybe it does the whole fade to black and it skips a few weeks and the noble lady is with child and over the course of your adventure the pregnancy will progress and eventually you will have a child or your own who will one day rule this fiefdom. maybe in cases where either your races are incompatible or maybe one of you are to old so you have to adopt a child or find a family member suitable to become heir.
i realised this got kinda weird... oops
Bethesda should just let Larian studios make TES6 if they want a good RPG.
It may not be TES6 but just imagine a CRPG, Baldurs Gate 3/Divinity style game set on Nirn. That would be awesome. I just hope Bethesda takes notes from recent successes like BG3 instead of where Starfield went.
@@cubert13 Dude yes. ES has my favorite lore of any fantasy world, by far. That'd work great.
The shattered remnants of the Empire of Man, and the fractured but healing remnants of the Aldmeri Dominion
The Monarch would, of course, chose peace with the Empire on the condition that they stay out of Dominion affairs/territories.
Crazy to think I’ve been watching you guys for 11 years!
I hope Todd watches this, because this is exactly the ES6 game we need for his final game
This is a labor of love.
It's been ten years since that video.... wow now I feel old.
Piece this out and post separate videos in a playlist, that way it’s more approachable for Bethesda to watch. Not sure they’ll want to commit to a 6hr video like I most definitely am going to, right now.😂😂
it's already pieced out with timestamps, very easy to navigate imo
Would love it as a podcast on Spotify so I can listen at the gym
@@Lattman460they used to have one!
@@Sawcon4 they most certainly did and I really do miss it
I beg that TES6 isn't just a sand pit and really embraces the diversity of Hammerfell. I'd love to see some really dense Jungle rainforest with ancient ruins or maybe a Petra Jordan style city carved into a desert cliff face. Just PRAYING it's not only desert sands the entire game.
Yo zyzz reference in a Skyrim video? This a good one brah
still mirin in 2025 rip
YEEEEEESSSSSSSS another one of these. You guys help ease the wait.
Yes I did just watch a 6 hour video all the way through without pausing
One thing VI could take from eso's combat could be the way that as a dps mage you create a layered area of destruction around you.
Combining aoe dots, debuffs, and spammables adds a finess to executing the build youve crafted.
High level rotations in eso are like playing a piano piece with melodies playing over chords. While eso has an issue with this being a required skill to do endgame content, having it as an option in VI could bring magic to a whole new level.
Something must be in the air if I had the sudden feeling of playing Skyrim again and then just discovring a 6 hour video. . .
In another world this game came out in a timely manner and this video was one of those 6 hour retrospective reviews in the lead-up to elder scrolls 7's release
Can't we just give Todd and Pagliarulo the boot and put you guys in charge of bethesda?
Ambitious thoughts. I feel less and less confident BGS can make this a game amazing.
We're eating well tonight!
6hr video!!! Love you guys keep up the good work!
This is what happens when no games for 13 years
ESO is worth a try, zone stories are usually pretty good
@@UndisputedBillyBadass i tried it but it feels like too much of an MMO, same world but not the reason why I play The Elder Scrolls
Something i didn’t like about Skyrim, was the joinable factions and guilds didn’t really affect any gameplay outside of their respective quests. I think it would be cool have faction dependent dialogue options that become available or are locked out depending on what faction you are a part of, like in older fallout games.
Talos help us, they’re back
28k views in 12 hours for this length of video is pretty damn good. Great job guys.
Please Bethesda watch this
I have the uneasy feeling that these Guys pack waaay more thought into ES6 than Todd will..
We need more indie devs making Bethesda style rpgs like aardenfall, fallout London, nehrim, and Enderal. But whole actual games
My descendants will be smiling at me when ES6 finally drops Imperial. Can you say the same?
I shouldn't have watched this video-- I know the real ES6 won't be nearly this
Racial Skill Trees are one of my main wishes for the game.
By Azura let's goooo
