I hear a true engineer. This man knows his product and knows the nuances. I believe he could build almost anything. This owner knows how his product. The passion for cost vs value and what the end result means for the consumer. I somehow don't have the same confidence in Johnny if you catch my drift.
If you were ever able to get Darris Allison to do an interview like that, you’d know why Allison is unbeatable. Full aluminum alloy transom and 100% hand laid, not one chopper gun in house.
Great video Ken I was really impressed with the quality and detail covered on the rub rail and top cap connections. I also want to apologize if my wording about the side imaging .
Check out the rub rail on a 100 degree day the will have 2ft of slack bulging out. Keep a rubber mallet handy. Have seen this on my Eyra and on a Jaguar.
Wow! How many builders would sit there that long explaining building processes and boat evolution? Only one I can think of. Rick Pierce builds great boats because he cares about boats and his boat owners! Many congrats on your purchase Mr Ken Smith! You made a great decision by buying Bass Cat! Can't wait to see the next video!
Enjoyed this video Ken........ Love listening to Rick Pierce.... he has a no-nonesense way of explaining his point..... I can tell he 101% believes in his product..... Note: I wonder if he has any concerns about using "other than Owens-Corning" fiberglass... or if there will be any loss of quality..... Thanks for all that you do and share for your subscribers...
I'm not a dealer but was invited to drive any of the models, I was originally told it would be on a weekend July 24-25, but now I'm being told it's just one day and that day is July 21. My question would be to what degree will they let you make changes on a boat for instance if I want all the bell's and whistles that a premium boat has on the livewells added to a classic, two aerators pump's, pump in and pump out , built in timers, upgraded touch pad, 28 ounce carpet, front padded deck, radio?
Good video sir, since your getting into the construction of the boats can you ask about upper rail stress cracks, years ago I have had a new boat get them, had them fixed only to return, is it normal? can it be prevented? seems a lot of boats get them...thanks in advance
Man o man!!! I wanted that video to keep goin!! Common Ken don’t make us wait a whole week! That tour of the factory is gonna be awesome. Great job Ken, you’ve done a great great job with this whole series, truly enjoyed it!!! Keep it up brotha!!
I would really like to see more on their base model the Pantera Classic. I have been looking for the best budget friendly bass boat that’s still a great boat but every one always talks about the premium boats that are just out of reach for the average guy.
Premium lineup isn't for many of non pros. I'm a weekend guy on smaller bodies of water. The p2 or classic is more practical in my case. BCB makes quality regardless ones budget.
Augusta masters IM TELLING EVERYONE AND IM NOT A GOLFER BUT THAT PLACE MUST BE ON EVERYONE BUCKET LIST. IT WILL BLOW YOUR MIND... how PRETTY.... NOT SAYING THAT CAUSE IM ONLY 30 MINs away and we get a week off of everything when tournament come to town.... but BUCKET list all day long
KEN He is a 100% right Owens Corning fiberglass uses them and my dad said so years ago kind of Ok book time my dad was union president of that company voted in and he use to send stuff to bass cat years ago he has past away but I remember my dad and Mark going out to bass cat in the 1990s ok enough of that best 3 boats built
@@KenSmithFishing yep sure is my dad said only 3 boats he would buy 1. Bass cat 2. Ranger ( prior 2016) 3. Nordhavn ( and Nordhavn is a trawler yacht built for ocean crossing)
Allison Murphy Pope, we are back to 100% OC Glass now, after the TX deep freeze, and the answer is no. Many other bass boat builders use Jushi glass, we don’t for reasons and it’s cheaper to buy. We only used CTG and Jushi where it was non critical, flooring, storage boxes and parts that other builders often use plastic. We also got lucky and learned of the coming shortage by chance early fall. We stockpiled enough glass before the freeze. We bought 30,000 pounds on import glass at very high prices. We are now redistributing (selling) 15,000 of that back out to companies that are still under shortages, and trying to increase their production.

100% agreed, craftsman vs salesman

Understoood it's a really well built boat, but it's a specialty boat.

Wait, what, OSU????

This whole series has been excellent!
Thank you sir!

I’ll update if I see that issue
I've never seen that even on a 114 degree day.
Great video Ken!!!! Excited for the next video.
Hey Ken, my humble apologies for saying that you were bias towards bass cat boats. Well hope that you enjoy your new Eyra and be safe.
Tight lines!
No worries Leon and I went Lynx not Eyra

You need to get rid of the Ranger life jacket if you are a true BassCat guy now.
It’s gone

Certain things you can add and some you can’t I have a classic and what little I did add makes the cost go up quick
Another good job Ken, Rick is proud of his boats and everyone knows why, they are that good.

Joe not sure what you mean, can you email me specifics at kensmithfishing@outlook.com
Excellent video. thank you amazing information.
Why did Rick wish you hadn’t done the review of the 203 with the sales rep in the video?
Wasn’t that, was the Blazer review
When's the next prop video going up
As soon as I can get some!
Congratulations Ken!
I’m heading out on vacation tomorrow for a weak but plan on stopping by the factory at some point next week

So should a guy wait to buy a new boat due to the lack of quality glass available
