My name is Cole Phillips and I work for Bass Cat in the finish department and my job is putting on the trolling motors! It was a pleasure working on your boat Mr. Crews! Good luck to you this year!
I like those updates. I know guys have been wanting BCB to make an aftermarket fiberglass step box (instead of the carpeted option) but cost and production time dont make sense. Id like to see a hatch below the windscreen that allows access to wiring rather than having to crawl underneath the steering wheel.
@John Crews 2018 Eyra Owner powered by 250 Yamaha SHO Outboard 1.) The back battery area needs a lip or channel to help keep most of the backsplash out after: shutting down too quick or heavy rains 2.) Livewell drain location leaves the livewell with an inch of water at the inner small deep part by the divider 3.) The glove box in the 2018 Eyra comes in handy. Hope they bring it back in 2022. Worth the extra cost! ** Would also recommend using a SeaClear Power Harness for the graphs w/ an inline fuse connected to each graph **
1. Sounds like the back area has too much weight. 2. I know what you mean but Rick told me why they don’t do that but I honestly don’t remember 3. I agree 100% Bass Cat now runs big power wires to each graph. Not sure what they did on yours. Thanks man!
Would love to see the front deck of the Eyra with the rod locker in the left coffin storage compartment. Like the Caracal. As always enjoyed your video. Good luck this season.
John, wondering if you liked the 16” Lowrance at the console on your last rig. Could you comment on the old setup running vision with the single 16” likes and dislikes with the single 16” setup?
John, I’ll be purchasing a new bass boat in 12 months and have decided on the Eyra due to layout and responsiveness. As a bridge boat, the boat is supposed to be efficient with a 200-300 HP. Trying to determine appropriate HP based on my needs. What have you heard about performance w/ a 200 or 225 HP? Planning on adding a set of PP Blades and running 3 total AGMs w/ a tourney load of tackle. Will the boat package have an effective hull shot? Not overly concerned with top end. 60-65 mph is fine for me. Thoughts??
That's a really nice rig. The only thing I don't get is why manufacturers of high end bass boats are still running carpet and not a seadek type material. 💯
How much did you gain on top end by adding the lithium’s and did dropping the weight affect the rough water ride? I know you probably haven’t got those answers yet, future video.

You boys are locked in! The finish on my 21 is the cleanest on any I’ve had. Keep up the great work!
That’s always been my favorite model. I too like the access to the pumps in the back.
Crews that is a sweet ride.Great boat and I love the show.
Oh yeah!! Been waiting on this one! More than ready for this season. Been watching old Bassmaster classics and watching you. Good luck this season!
I’m so ready for the 2021 season brother I wish you luck and truly enjoyed watching you last season.
That boat is sick!!! I've got a 2011 love my Eyra!
Rigs looking 🔥 hyped to see you compete this season!

Great idea
That Eyra is BA dude!

I definitely need to buy this boat from you when you're season is finished

That would be different. Might work

I liked the 16 for simplicity sake.
Thanks for the response John! Were you able to see over it ok for running and did you need to remove for the travel cover?

I’d go 250 for sure. You might look at a Fury 4 blade prop because it’ll kick up the hole shot and knock off a few mph off top end. Still low 70s
I love the color it is poppin! Do work this year John! Good Luck!#RippinLipsInc
Move the deck day box to the rear of the front deck. Be easier access while sitting and rigging.
Slam latches would be great

Carpet is much quieter and less expensive. That’s what I was told when I asked.
So they capped your boat, in some other worlds that would mean something different. Lol great video.
😂
Odd question here but what pants are those? They look slick.
They are Under Armour. Had them a number of years
John, have you ever run the big Jaguar? If so what did you think.
I have. It’s got so much storage that I’d need to buy more tackle. 😂
Weird question, I know, but where do you get those cargo joggers you're wearing? They look super comfortable.
They are Under Armour. Not sure they still make them. 👊🏼
@@JohnCrews thanks bro, Ill try to find em

Lithium’s did nothing for top end because they take weight out of the back. It helps A TON on getting on pad.
I personally dont see the point off all the small compartments i would just make the other compartmenst bigger but still a great boat man
They make sense once you fish out of it for a while. I thought the same thing
Where do you plug your charger in?
The Charge is mounted in back. I’ll do full walk through
Do you sell your boat at the end of the season?
I do
Is that a spare boat back there?
It’s my step sons. 🙌🏼
Anyone know how to find this boat on the by serial number page? I may want to copy some of these colors.
You can ask Bass Cat for it. Thanks man!
I sent you an email about getting when you're done. not sure if you got it.
I didn’t get it. 😬 Please try again,
Good sell... I just need a disposable income...☹️
