OMG TAKE ME HOME. I am 70 and remember doing all these things with my parents as children. So wonderful to see young people really work and have fun.
So many special memories for you. That is wonderful. GOD BLESS YOU.
It's never too late. :) We are older retires doing what they are doing with chickens, goats, and soon geese. :)
They do work hard! Gratifying to see :) tehbstepkids would rather be in Tiktok :(
As an older mom, age 71 with five grown children, it is fun watching you train your boys as God would like. God bless y’all and stay safe and healthy!
Yes the chicks and ducklings are very cute!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I love the way you have the boy's involved with the animal's & your project's.
Not only are you teaching them farm animal husbandry & instilling a great work ethic but your also teaching them great trades they can use when they become adults.
You are great parent's that your viewer's & their children can learn from.
New life is always an appreciated addition to home. Glad the boys are pitching in so mom can rest.
Everything is just so awesome! Your joy is contagious and your family is so cute. Those hard working boys are going to turn into amazing hard working men; especially with the two of you guiding them as you are.
Such wonderful things to come...can't wait to see them with the new baby
You guys are so encouraging. Glad to hear that all the birds made it to your farm.
Loved the scene where the males are all digging and momma is sitting knitting! 😁😁🌈🌈
Family goals 😍👍
Yea Mrs Margaret the knitting scene was beautiful
ya know, ya blink and ya miss it. I had to scroll back a couple of times to catch it. @ 14:34 and yes, that was a great shot.
Man I really love you guys - I hang out for your post every week. I just pray that God continues to bless you all. It is such a blessing to see a family that lives like a family. So thank you so much for letting us go on the journey with you.
Ben, as I was watching this, I was thinking about your testimony. Just want to say that I'm very proud of you. (you too, Meg) You both look so happy.
We here in Pa..saw Ben's testimony also...and have a Son...it touched and I'm.feel.helped so much and I know I'm.sure many others ya may never know.....Your example is a true blessing ...God bless..
I love that. "Every now and then, a blind squirrel finds a nut."
I also like to say "Even a broken clock is right twice a day!"
Unless one of the hands has fallen off 😄
Thank you for sharing your family ... And your adventure... You are bringing joy to an old woman who's adventures are only memories...
Look how far u guys have come in such a short time God Bless y’all
We love following your family. We agree with ducks, lots of fun. When you came home from the Post Office, your boys had big smiles.
Well you just proved pregnancy brain still allows you to have awesome ideas. Love that look of the momma chicken with her babies.
When I was younger I had a duck that I would walk on a leash around the neighborhood. She was a good lawyer too.
Love and hugs from the little old lady in New Mexico USA. May God bless you and your family
Your children are such great helpers! We've hatched 40 chicks so far. We are upping our game this year.
How exciting all those fluffy babies. Hope you are doing well, you all look really happy and healthy. Enjoy your new family members...
Ben is a lucky man it doesnt take much to make Meg happy some old containers for the chickens and new fences for the little oinkies. you are a great example of what the world should be striving toward, thanks and keep spreading your sunshine
You can never have to many chicks! Way to feed your family the best food you can!
So sweet! I want a couple of duckies. Adorable!
Oh gosh Meg! I love your description of the momma hen and the rooster! I love all those cute peeps! ❤️
You said you were bringing in new critters. Babies are so cute. Stay safe and healthy
I am a blue egg lover. I need to get some Whiting True Blues to go with my Prairie Blue Bells and My olive egg layers and my Well Summers. I am glad to finally catch the whole video. Yesterday I started watching it and it crashed. I got up to it today. Sweet baby chicks. You could try using the fed feeder with water for the ducks, they can't get in it and the openings keep them from swishing their beaks sideways. It will keep things a bit drier. Also, Mike Dickson has an old vlog showing how to make a duck water with wire in front of a bucket that keeps things dry with older ducks. Loving it my Beautiful people!!! Here is a random hug for you Meg!!!💕💞
We love your videos! Can't scroll through all 285 comments, but wanted to mention the chest clip on your son's car seat needs to be at arm pit height amd the straps tightened and straightened. Good luck with the chicks! We are getting some this week and choose them for a variety of egg colors, too. :)
Boy gotta love those men out there with tool in their hands. 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼👏🏼. Blast from my childhood 👍🏼👍🏼😅.
Chickens, ducks, pigs, turkeys, and kids. Perfect idea of home life👍🏼👍🏼.
Love seeing the guys pitch in to help! Train 'em up!
Fun video! Excited to watch as you raise them!
Wow Ben n Meg
Everything has gotten green and growing
I love your ideal for colorful chickens
Very nice fence
Wished you came on every week
I miss your recipes and seeing what you guys are cooking
I have 4 groups of chickens. Babies 2 wks old or less. Toddlers 2 mos old. Preteens 4 mons old and my adult hens. Im rotating brooders chicken tractors and coop😄 its a job really.
Ducks are adorable, hope they become a constant pet/ layer feature.
Nothing better than homesteading for the entire family. We are doing the same here in Wisconsin. Loving on our baby chicks...not so much the meat birds as they go to freezer camp. Thanks for the great video. Love seeing the boys working on the home and garden. Greetings from Wisconsin. Karen
Such a great idea for a home for the baby chicks....they are so darn cute and the ducks are adorable!! You guys have come so far on your homestead journey....just a little at a time will do it😘😘😘!!
Oh chicks and ducks how wonderful the homestead is growing so happy for y'all Thanks for shareing God Bless sweet friends .♡♡♡♡
Hi....... Meg and Ben nice to see you, thank you for sharing your video homestead chicken farmer garden 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 bye 👋 👋 👕🐔🐓🐥🐕🌱🎥👍👍👍
Meg, you're always a welcome ray of sunshine. Thanks for your exuberant positivity. Love seeing the farm and fam in action. Thanks for sharing, Y'all.
The smiles on those boys faces is priceless! Love it :)
You're looking good mama ! Are the boys excited ? Be blessed .
Wow... guys your homestead is looking very busy. I am sooo happy for you.😊
I am 61 and I had never heard "every now and then a blind squirrel finds a nut" love it!!!
Cute cute chicks and ducks. You are busy beavers. Lovely video. 💖🐷🐔💖
Ducks are so much fun. A friend had a Pekin duck with at least 12 ducklings in a nest in the barn. The resident rooster kicked several of them out of the way to get to the feed. Mama duck stretched her head out flattened her body level and took after him like a freight train hissing the entire time. She chased him around the barn outside and around the barn around the yard and almost got him before he flew over a fence to hide in the chicken coop. He was squawking like crazy and lost 4 tail feathers. I was laughing so hard that I fell off the pick nick table. I hope you have such good memories with your ducks. LOL!!
I love how happy all of you are doing your journey together. As the kid next door says "it makes my heart smile."
What a great idea for a brooder! Meg so glad your other chicks hatched well.
it's good to see you up and happy another baby hasn't come yet and I'm excited for all of you to have a new member of the family coming it's also good to see how you are moving right along on your mobile home I wish the very best for you all love you guys have a wonderful and blessed day
You just posted the video today and already have over twenty thousand views! How awesome is that?!?!
Cornish Cross have always worked well for me. Watch letting them go past 12 weeks. They are bred to put on meat fast and their legs can break. Good to see all those chicks! I always separated my ducks and geese. They will love a kitty pool when they are feathered out! Enjoy your spring projects. Cold and rainy in New Hampshire. We have 8 calves and about 14 more to go...unless there are more twins. Two sets so far :-)
I just want to thank you for your channel and videos. I suffer from severe depression and the past year or 2 have almost done me in. I would sit and binge watch 3-5+ hours of your videos and feel better, like I might be able to do that. I've always wanted land and a homesteading farm like what you guys are doing. I look forward to your videos, you make me feel like you're long lost friends saying hi. Lol Thank you again.
adding more food to your table. how are your gardens doing? everybodys input in the family works. good one Mom!! thanks for another great video.
Love seeing all the new additions! So happy for you, friends.
Great idea for quick brooders! Beautiful roses. Are you rebreeding your sow? Selling extra piglets or growing them out? Can't wait for the rest of the babies to arrive. I think baby ducks are the cutest bcuz they are so ackward. You're looking great Meg, hope you feel as well too.
Ben the progress in the single wide is moving along great. And the boys are all grown so much over the winter. Love seeing you all, just wish it was more often. But I know you are very busy.
Wow...that is a lot of birds. Blessings to y'all. The boys are really working hard too to make this homestead a successful endeavor, that is so good to see. If you get more duck you might be able to dam up a little pond for them down at that stream with a fence around it to protect them. Thanks for this up date and Meg you are looking very well. Have a Blessed day.
Wow. Babies babies everywhere...and coming. I cant wait to see the turkeys..hope you film those too. Your place sure is coming along pretty good...and fast. Awesome homesteading yaw and the kiddos too.
so happy for you and your homestead. Love watching you all.
Its really coming together nicely with the new additions
WOW! And we thought we had a lot of baby chicks and we have just started with 12!!!! Couldn't imagine 100 at one time lol that's a whole lot of chirpin' goin' on lol. We watch you guys all the time and really started watching you guys when you found your current homestead! You are both truly inspiring and we ourselves just purchased our own homestead and are literally having to build it from the ground up from scratch, hence the baby chicks lol. we are documenting our entire experience also and are super excited to pass on the knowledge that we learn from all of our fellow homesteaders! Awesome videos guys - very informative and entertaining!
Awesome Chicks! Just thought I'd mention that Corbin's chest buckle on his car seat in the beginning of the video is down by his stomach, which won't protect him in a car wreck. Love your family, homestead and vlogs!
Good on y'all for getting your chickens and ducks! I do have a question and possibly a word of caution. As you were walking with the pig fencing, I noticed a hole dug into the clay bank behind you. Please caution your boys against digging a tunnel into that. An old friend of mine lost two of her boys in a tragic accident by digging a tunnel fort and the thing collapsed on them. Thanks so much for sharing your life with us. It's always a blessing to be able to have my coffee in the morning and see what others are doing in the world. Have an awesome day!
All so very cute. All the baby animals.
We love letting Momma hen raise chicks! So fun watching her teach them!
Congratulations on the Layers, Eaters and the really cool new Pig Fence. Those Tubs worked out great. They are big enough, keep mess to a minimum. Neat can't wait to see New Layers when older. Should be a great addition to the flock. The Pigs were so happy to be moved. They are growing nicely. Great to see all. Stay Safe God Bless and Peace Be With You All ☮️🙏❣️
Oh my goodness!! The cuteness overload. Love it!! You guys are my favorite. Thanks for all you do!! I started watching just as you found your homestead and it's killin me not to skip ahead lol. I want to see everything as it happened. Thank you Hollar's!!
Thats awesome!!! The pigs look great. Can't wait until you get the turkeys... love the chicks
This is a wonderful endeavor for all of you! I remember my days on the farm with baby chicks! I also remember the day they were “put away” for meals to come! That’s the way it goes!
This was a fun video! Love all the baby chicks - they are so cute 🐤🐥🐥🐥🐤
When I had chickens I loved my Americanas. Always had great luck with Murray McMurray too.
The MEAT birds are like dinosaurs! They actually got TOO Big. Yea, "freezer camp" was a blessing. They are nothing like the egglayers.
Ohhhhhhh my cuteness! Now that's All the chickens. Ducklings💋✌🏻️✌🏻✌🏻💕💕💕🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🐥🌻🌻🌻🌻🌷🍀🍀🍀🌸
Man y'all like my extended family. I look forward to seeing your videos every week.
Love just watching y'all sweet family enjoying life... Just got my chicks too.
Funny-thats exactly what we are using right now!! works really well and so easy to clean out!
I loved my chickens and I had several mixed flocks over the years. I like seeing all the different colors of chickens and eggs. But the ducks were so much fun. They have different personalities from the chickens, but they are messier. We used nipple waterers for their drinking and kiddie pools for their swimming. If they can get in their waterer, they will and the water will be everywhere. You should consider getting some Heritage breeds. We had Magpie, Blue Swedish, and runner ducks. I also raised Bronze turkeys, another Heritage breed. Turkeys make really good livestock protectors. Some people keep their turkeys with their goats or sheep. I had all my poultry together in the same coop and run. We never had any problems with them getting along. One of the reasons that I'd like to live on land again is so that I can have poultry.
Love the all hands on deck in the garden! Chicks are always fun.
Chicks and ducklings are sooo cute. Adults are fun to watch, too. Nice pig fence upgrade.
Just love watching your family grow the farm. Best thing since sliced bread. Being home for so long sitting here waiting for the next post. I just retired in March, where I live the city does not allow farm animals (even though I have 1.3 acres. Wish I would have known that before I bought it. Neighbors horses are grandfathered. Lesson learned, never make assumptions.
Such gentleness with the baby chicken.....🐓🐣🐣🐣🐣🐻
Excited for all the great things happening on your homestead....you have come a long ways and it's showing....God bless you all...
So much cuteness! I’m glad you are all doing well!
Love!
Learn from my mistake last year - You will definitely want to separate the ducklings from the chicks. I actually lost a perfectly healthy 2-3 week old chick last year when I was trying to brood ducklings and chicks together (same age), because she got trampled near the water source. The ducks just grow so fast in the beginning, and they are so very messy (I call them my Yucks).
My current batch of ducklings are only 17 days old and already weigh about a pound each.
Guys, you are rocking it, great to see you all doing so well 🥰
I bought from McMurray Hatchery for the first time this year and my birds are 2 weeks old and I have no complaints! The price of their birds are a little more but you get what you pay for. I bought 15 and I have 16 due to the free/bonus bird. Y’all stay safe up there and great video!!
OMG those chicks are the cutest🐥
Its nice seeing your boys help you they seem like great kids. Good upbringing. CONGRATS
I am so happy to see the progression of your mobile home. I am so excited to see the progression of your homestead. You are such an inspiration
Super awesome about the birds and yay new fence! Meg you look amazing you have the glow. Sending blessings to you all

I cannot wait to get chickens again! We just started our channel to document our move from WA to TX and starting a farm!
Love seeing you both so relaxed and settled the chicks are so cute totally need colored basket😂
Good job Holler family. Would love 2 or 3 more vids a week, but I know it's a lot of work.
We've got 4 chicks that our buff Orpington hatched out on Easter and it is so fun to see the natural process!
Your homestead is coming along. You all work so hard. I really enjoy seeing how your home is coming along and boys are so helpful. 💕
Film some of the stormy weather if you can. I would love to see it. Thank you for sharing your family life with all of us. Much love to yo all.
Great day on the homestead! Excellent Video!
Dutch, at 'Keeping It Dutch' is raising white jumbos, and those things are eating everything and growing like weeds! Grate idea on the tote brooders, Meg! And Ben is gonna have quite a trailer building crew by the time it's finished! 👍🏻✌🏻
Spring is a fun and busy time of year.
Yeah we’re getting the thunderstorm down here in MS now, not bad at 6:30 our time just such good ole rain. Y’all are a amazing family and have a contagious attitude.... I can’t see why anyone along with the 42 people don’t like this?
always watching the Hollar's saga. I pray for a baby girl for you! so the Queen will have her princess.
Meg, what a great idea, it was perfect for the chicks! I so look forward to your videos, they are always informative, interesting and Loving. By the way I love that rose bush i got a glimpse of in the video! 🥰😍
Hello from the very large Coffey family we are hoping to be doing the homestead of our dreams soon
Great Idea on the ICB tote. We did the same with our baby frizzle silkies, it worked out great. Super easy to clean and lots of room for them to grow.
We love your channel and enjoy watching your journey. Keep up the good work.
