We don't mind the hodge podge videos. Just so long as you put out a video so we can stay in touch & see your progress. Whether its the animals, gardens, the mobile home or the food you are making. Or knives, soap, it just doesn't matter. We love to see you & your beautiful family. Take care until next time.
You guys are so cute! It is always a treat checking in and finding a vlog from The Hollars Homestead. Good to see the big happiness smiles and a job well done making your dreams come true. 😷 😊
Plants are looking good. The chickens and pigs are doing their jobs. The weather is being normal. Summer is summer. Life is good. Enjoy the lack of excitement and replace it with contentment and peaceful times in your part of the world. I appreciate your efforts and am grateful to be able to share your time. Blessings to you all.
a family that prays together, stays together. Good to witness y'all eating together at the table. May you continue to influence us to work hard and be thankful.
Remember when you were a kid watching an exciting show with cliffhanger endings and a 'to be continued'? When the next episode came on, you were so happy and excited, remember that feeling? I get that feeling every time I see a new vlog from you guys. Thanks for starring in my favorite show!
I hope your families can see all your hard work. I’m not related but I am proud of you. I’m a mom of 6 grand mom to 9. I still run a huge garden. Dirt is my Prozac. Still working 1/2 time as a psych RN considering retirement (I am 70). Love to watch your family.
I liked your post. I'm sure your grandkids love goodies out of the garden. Yes working in the garden is so calming. I am 69 and have 7 grandkids and 4 great grandchildren. Taught elementary school for 38 years and still volunteer one day a week and full weeks a couple of times a year when needed. The virus put a damper on that this spring. Hope you keep working part time . It tends to keep one young. Watching Hollar Homestead videos is calming too.
Worked eight and a half years in security at a hospital that rivaled USC and UCLA. Observed many 5150 evaluations. God's blessings on every one of you in health care. Walked the halls praying where the Lord showed me the need.
Your dinner looks AMAZING! Yum! You should all feel proud about growing that yourselves. For those that have never grown a garden, the flavor is so amazing as well. I'm happy to report that our garden is planted and doing well even with yet another threat of frost last week. Really? It's the middle of June already! Thank goodness it missed our area. So good to see you on the vlogs again, Meg. No offense to Ben as he does an amazing job filming, but it is always a treat when the two of you appear together. Lovin' that baby bump, Meg. Blessings to your family.
Trust me.. You guys have nothing to apologize for. You just keep doing your thing... your daily routine is a delight to watch... especially your evening 'walk & chat'. Checking the crop progress and being in nature is what many of us need right now. A daily routine is a blessing... and great for the kids too. Be Safe. 🙂
No one complains when you post a video, we are just happy to see you! I am going to try an experiment this winter and plant some tomato seeds in the beds and let them do their thing! I think they will do great because every volunteer plant always does better earlier. 💞Meg, you have been missed but you just grow that baby!
I suggest a sprinkler for Meg in July, indoor air conditioner sanctuary for you and the baby in August! Exciting times for you guys and your growing boys🙂
Your place us so nice, everything is healthy, growing and looking so awsome. Love how you homestead and care for the earth in a gracious natural way. God Bless you all and stay healthy.
Thank y'all for everything! You're a great family and I love to watch y'all doing everything on the farm. You're an inspiration to so many. I'm disabled and I'm not able to do much with back, hip, knee and shoulder problems but I love watching you, the Stivers, Roots and Refuge, The Fit Farmer, The Rhodes and Sow the Land!!! I watch all of these because each of them give me inspiration! I love all of you!!! God Bless!!!
I understand. I still need to put cages on my tomatoes. But I'm in the middle of kitchen remodel and taking care of my property and my parents. You all keep going and enjoy it. Take we time when needed. As a man probably old enough to be your dad. I truly enjoy your family. You seem like a great family. Loved prayers for dinner to.
I wish I'd known this! Thank you! Just learned from this video something that I didn't know about removing the fruit from a young tree; so that it puts it's energy into growth rather than producing the fruit. Man! So happy I watched today's vlog! Awesome!
It is just good to see you on the vlogs. The love in your eyes for each other cannot be faked. My prayers are with you to get the mobile home finished before the baby comes, but with animals and gardens, there are only a few hours a day to work. Love your greeting Meg, of "Hello beautiful people!" So happy you got a trip in to see Jess and Jeremiah. They are my other favorite channel.
You were right :-); we were going to ask about the casserole dish. My family will not eat sweet potatoes with me, but you gave me a good idea about slipping in some beets. I love that you share with us your prayer before meals. A God fearing family, hard working and modest family is heart warming to watch especially these days - thank you for sharing.
Loved the video, great job. Here at Apple Tree Farm our urban homestead in Perth Australia, we had some of our homegrown lettuce in our sandwiches for lunch. Nothing beats homegrown produce harvested straight from your own backyard
I cant wait to see how your house turns out. you guys deserve all the happiness and joy in your life you guys triumphed through so much I am so happy for you.
Ditto ❤️ I just love how Meg is always so happy and glowing you are beautiful and you have a beautiful family sending love and light and pray God continues to bless you all 🙏💞🙏💞
My husband and I have started a container harmed in southeast Idaho. We are too on the search for our forever homestead. We have learned a lot about tomato plants. They need some help pollinating because they have male and female pollinators. Of you go out and use your hand to disturb the blossoms you will get a higher yield of tomatoes and also pull off the lower limbs of the tomato plants. If the plants are indeterminate pluck off the suckers( these can also be replanted for more plants) the determinant plants you do not want to pull off the suckers. Maybe you already know this, maybe not. Warned my heart to see people praying over their food, not something you see much anymore. Always stay humble and give thanks! Many blessings from ours to yours! ❤️❤️
I am SO happy to be seeing these frequent notifications go off on my phone!! I know y’all are doing 1000 things at once, and Meg is super pregnant in the sweltering summer heat, but I just miss you guys!!! So I am so so sooooo happy just to see you....I’d watch Meg fold laundry 😂
Yes family prayer - builds faith. Love megs crazy sense of humor... "freezer camp and jungle chickens". Always looking forward to your next clip. God bless the family.
Oh wow, I love your family very much. A God fearing family, modest and inspirational always good TV to watch. The love you share, the hard work you put into your lives is a dream many can aspire to. Stay blessed always.❤🙏
Anything y'all vlog is worth watching! No apologies necessary. Wish I had a fraction of the energy, ability and knowledge you have. Are you going to share any of your birth story? I know it is a private time, but i do love seeing babies come into the world! Maintaining your personal privacy of course. Love you guys.
You are the first Homestead Family I have seen give thanks over their food you just became my favorite Homestead people God bless you that you teach your children about our Lord
I love vlogs that are like daily moments quilted together. It works because your viewers love you and the one constant in all the clips is the genuine excitement to share those life moments with us.
Hello beautiful people Ben, Meg, Boys and Baby. Those fruit trees will thank you all with an abundance of fruit later. This is into the third year fruiting season, which l didn't let the trees produce the first 2 years after planting this year the plum, pear, apple and peach trees are so loaded, l needed to remove some of the fruit, fearing l might lose branches if l didn't. I'm looking forward to seeing the all new additions or changes as they come about, especially those new 🐖 🐖 keep up the good work.
I was pregnant with both of my boys in summer..one born in mid July and one born in early August...in South Carolina..it was a long time ago but I remember it well! But Meg, you're the most adorable preggo ever! I looked like I swallowed a giant watermelon sideways...wide load, baby! Your homestead is looking great!
I loved the nighttime video. Seeing you share supper as a family and seeing how relaxed you were was refreshing. Keep doing evening recordings. I enjoyed it.
Yes, it’s always good to see parents teaching their children to thank God for their food that God has blessed them with. This was the best part of the video for me. Thanks for sharing this video with all of us. God loves you all. God bless you all.
Another wonderful video. I love seeing your progress. I originally subscribed because I saw your family praying over a meal. It was great to see that still in practice in this video. You are spot on with your fruit trees. Leviticus 19:23 "When you enter the land and plant any kind of fruit tree, regard its fruit as forbidden. For three years you are to consider it forbidden, it must not be eaten". The Good Lord has given us direct instructions :) Your whole family is rockin this and I love following your journey. Thanks for taking us along. God Bless and keep you all.
Looking great everyone. Such a wonderful blessing to eat you own food. Once your freezer is full and your canning shelves are bulging you will so enjoy the winter eating the yummy cache. Nothing like working chickens who are paid in feed and scraps! Keep well. Orchard is doing great and done trees will die if the fruit is in abundance. Even strawberries should not bare fruit the first year. We have rabbits that will eat the bark of fruit trees in winter so we wrap chicken wire a few inches out. from the stock. Such a successful gardening tour!
Check your pear variety. Most need to have 2 trees for pollination. Keiffer does not but most others do. Your local extension office can help you determine if you need another tree. I really enjoy your channel.
Love you guys. Me and my husband had a little feed and seed store in the 80's. Hand loaded feed from supplier to our truck. Hand unloaded to our store. Hand loaded to our customers. In the 90's I had bone spur surgery on both shoulders. Just a word to the wise...
Came across your all's family channel an it was about 3 or 4 vlogs ago an i just subscribed today! I live in White Pine Tennessee an i just had comment an say hello an love the channel. Will have to catch up on older volgs. But my Mamaw Sarah Alice Forester Jarnigan was rasied in that area! An watching your channel brings back memories of family reunions , an just in the way we was rasied. When she married my Pawpaw Raymond they bought a place in Jefferson County Tennessee an i was raised with all the farm animal's you all have now, except they had 2 Milk cows an guineas and goats because the guineas and the goats kept the snakes away. But any way Thank you both for sharing your life an congratulations on the new addition coming soon an God bless your sweet family.
Volunteer plants are the best since they grew where it suits them. Nature mixes plants up to help each other. We would benefit from doing more of that in our gardens. Thanks for a sweet video!
the family who prays together, stays together. thank you Hollar family !!!
My second sons nickname was “BUBBLES” ! He never stopped laughing and he still continues to bring joy at 23!
We don't mind the hodge podge videos. Just so long as you put out a video so we can stay in touch & see your progress. Whether its the animals, gardens, the mobile home or the food you are making. It was heart warming to see you guys holding hands for prayer. We need a lot more that in these troubled days.💕🙏
I love the way Ben looks at Meg. You can see and feel the love he has for her. ❤️❤️❤️

Mine either. Now I cook a bunch up. Eat mine. Peel & mash up. Lay on dehydrator roll up tray and powdered. They don't even know when it's added. Lol
Love it!! Holding hands and praying before a meal!
I haven't been on UA-cam today and I thought I might go check and see who all has put up a video!! Thanks for the surprise!!!! Love it!!

Where do you find freezer room for the chickens after the big pig?
Ditto ❤️ I just love how Meg is always so happy and glowing you are beautiful and you have a beautiful family sending love and light and pray God continues to bless you all 🙏💞🙏💞

What's wrong with the content?
Absolutely nothing! Everything they post I find adorable!
Everything looks wonderful, including the family!! (Love it when you show the family praying). Jungle chickens, lol

Meg dear, you are absolutely amazing! I can't imagine how you're coping with it all... Blessings, Joy
Four kids already, one on the way, and you still can't keep your eyes off Meg in the last minute of the video. It's sweet.
The 👶 coming along! It won't be long. I'm praying for a healthy baby and safe delivery. Love y'all's family and union.
Always a pleasure to see what's going on over there on your homestead.
I love the a little bit of everything vlog
Ahhh. A new tee shirt. “Everything does better in the dirt.” So true for a lot of things. ❤️

You do know an Excursion can hold a bunch of German Shepherds.😁😏
I too look forward to their weekly videos
I wonder what they named their Excursion? 😜
Good, as always.
Seeing the blue dot next to The Hollar Homestead puts a smile on my dial. Hey from Oz.

Lumnah estates always say grace
As do the Rhodes and the Sow the Land family.
Things always grow better where you don't want them. If you want grass, put in a driveway.
😂
That sounds about right Greg. LOL
Isn't that the truth!!
Lol so true
Love your channel!! You all rock!!!
I love vlogs that are like daily moments quilted together. It works because your viewers love you and the one constant in all the clips is the genuine excitement to share those life moments with us.
I hope you dont ever stress about content or over think it. We're here for the ride.
Love the volunteers! Last fall our yard ducks and/or chickens gave us a few tomatoes!

That rooster is hilarious 😂

Sitting together at the picnic table together was my Highlight! You are an amazing family doing amazing things! 💖
Love you guys. Me and my husband had a little feed and seed store in the 80's. Hand loaded feed from supplier to our truck. Hand unloaded to our store. Hand loaded to our customers. In the 90's I had bone spur surgery on both shoulders. Just a word to the wise...
