I don't see why people would use nervegear when the VR with a track would be better. Training both your mind and body while having fun in a game would make some of the best people.
I think we can get to a point like in the movie ''Ready Player One'' in the next 10-20 years, but to get to SAO level is something completly different, we're talking about a technology that is capable of literally control your consciousness giving visual environments to users as well as being able to control all their senses, all that being connected through a neural interface as we've seen in the anime. 1:13 I would like to point out that even in the SAO world. B.I.C (Brain Implant Chip) didn't start being used until around 2030. This was stated in Accel World. Also, it was a short lived project. As it was shortly replaced by Nero Link devices used in that anime.
This looks really cool. Even if it kills the user, i'd still wanna full-dive into Sword Art Online just cuz i enjoy the anime very much. Also i love the memes you were using.
Same, i'd just have to spend a lot of time on the early floors trying to get enough of the currency (Whatever it'll be called) to get decent weapons and armor, so that i'd stand a better chance against PKers
You want a realistic recipe for a real full dive? Its nothing like VR headsets 1. Neuralink = direct brain image, audio and data/information back-to-back streaming and full body stimulation simulation 2. "unknown device" = full body paralyze to prevent you from moving irl while moving in virtual world We need these two to realise the full dive. a VR is a window into a screen. a full dive is a window into a matrix
I hope palmer luckey makes a great SAO inspiration, MMO RPG game, and FullDive VR. But his own VR headset is really deadly. But if it's a game over for real life for me, i will die. And i will do so bravely. Which Fulldive VR MMO RPG game for inspiration of SAO? 1. Dungeons & Dragons VR online 2. Pathfinder VR online 3. Champions VR online (which is a superhero MMO RPG) 4. Kingdom Hearts VR online 5. Elder Scrolls VR online
Wrist thing its not stupid idea. But it would have to work the same as nervgear. This means not so much to be guided by signals as to intercept them completely. Excluding hands (and legs too) from use. And, for example, you sit in a deep armchair. You put bandages on your wrists and ankles. You put on some kind of oculus rift or something. You activate the bands with a voice command. And now you can walk in virtual space and your limbs just lie still.
That's awesome! Keep it up guys... one thing though it still won't be full dive. So I still won't buy anything until then. When will be get there idk, but once my Conscience can fully go Into sao game and knowing I'm not in the real world anymore, then yes (slaps credit card down) TAKE MY MONEY...TAKE IT!!!
@@VRelity I totally would, as long as there is a log out button to have my conscience go back to my body. Someone is eventually gonna have to test it to make sure its working properly..you know!?
they need to improve user privacy laws regarding what information these companies are allowed to collect and resell because 99% of that is done without our consent and is often times mandatory or done inspite us not consenting. otherwise this tech sounds exciting
Personally i dont like the limited movement in vr, I think that it would be alot better if you could move inside the world without having to worry about running into something in the real world...
in all reality i dont think the prices will remain this high. once it becomes easier and as tech moves along i expect the prices to be much cheaper. still somewhere between $1,000-$5,000, which yes is a lot, but if i can get the full dive just like SAO, i'd gladly spend money like that, assuming i have stable income

It's been a dream of many of us to get trapped in a deathgame where we have our brains microwaved if we fail the hardcore-mode setting with a single death, while our body wastes away in real life? Hell yeah it is!
brain reading for Blade & Sorcery would be crazy! the only thing it would be used for would be for telekinesis. But just imagine being able to use your MIND to fling around objects, while still using both your hands!
All I hope for is that people are very careful when this comes out. I also hope that these vr headsets are removable as well so that we can actually live human lives and not die from starvation or dehydration lol
Hmm well tbh it would be a 50/50 for me. If we’re only considering the fact that I want to be a part of the sap world and stuff then yes. But then again, I have to consider how it might affect me physically, mentally, and socially as well. So I really don’t know. Personally would want to finish my studies, get a good job and be living an ok life, then maybe get into sao. But that’s just my opinion. Hbu?
When Integral Factor was mentioned I was hyped for all of 5 seconds before it was stated it was just a VR mode. I fr thought they ported the game to a version that was fully playable in VR.
With the recent release of the Shangri La Frontier anime, I started getting into this stuff again, since I always found it very fascinating and would definitely want to try it out. Technically brain reading + VR is possible as shown with Varjo headsets, but the issue is not being able to replicate and send feeling signals like taste, touch, smell or pain to the brain. If it ever gets made during my lifetime, I'll definitely want to check it out, but probably won't be able to, since everything new costs a fortune nowadays.
For those that dont know, Sword Art Online bleeds into Accel World. Same creator. And Accel World talks about various versions of Nerce gear, from the helmet, to the smaller "safer" crown version, to the "musk like" brain implant chip that became illegal, to the neckband (which is the main tech used in Accel World. Looks like those wireless headphone neck bands we have now)
@@VRelity yeah it is epic. Sadly it never got finished because the writer decided to make sword art online, probably to establish a better backstory. Dunno. But id love to see the continuation of the story.
Anything close to actual full dive is decades or more away. We need to be able to read and write to the brain for something like that. It will most likely require something like a neuralink or like the implants from the Matrix.
I saw an electrode ear clip on the headset!!! (4:44) Look up remote-control people on yt. Basically with small stimulation to your ear you can simulate movement/feeling inertia! Fuck yes bro 😂
@VRelity at 5:25 mark, what is the anime your showing? it looks like SAO with kirito back in gun gale fighting mechs and robots and i really wanna watch that

@@VRelity if Gun Gale Online and Alfheim Online count as a diffrent game, then it would be those. Id also want to try out blade and sorcery but thats it really.
i mean technicly if they are gunna pick it out of the wrist they would only be getting the signals that are normaly sent to the wrist.... in wich case it would add latency... because you might as well just use your hand.
actually they use the neural input that goes through your hand from your wrist so you will be able to already know your hand signals before you do them making sure there is no delay. I hope that helps?
It’s a great idea but the problem is software, processing power isn’t a huge issue, with pcvr, and like a 4090, but the best game we have is like zenith. We need a good vrmmo before we get a full dive vrmmo
Even with quantum computer. Comprehending human brainwave and translating it into data while providing an external data to human senses via headset only is a far-fetched dream. Let alone for it to be a multiplayer game with real time data transfer between these two medium. One of two things will happen. 1. brain rupture. 2. Computing limitations
I built a thought control headset prototype in 2008-9. It doesn't work well, at all, you would have to have gels wet on each sensor. Look up Neurocetper, different name now. It's just fluff, and it will barely work.
Wait when you said the device will go of were you talking about the microwave output in the original nerv-gear in sao causing major fatalities in the process?
I used this headset while working at a BCI medical company focused on EEG (the main signal GALEA uses), and I must clarify that it is not even close to what you would define as a full dive. Nonetheless, this technology is undoubtedly super cool and serves as a stepping stone on the road to creating such an immersive experience.

sao game WILL eventually happen. regardless who is the publisher or how the game design is. I mean when it comes to anime VR games, sao is the most popular and the biggest IP. you can't skip that.

thankyouuuu happy to hear that
Same, i'd just have to spend a lot of time on the early floors trying to get enough of the currency (Whatever it'll be called) to get decent weapons and armor, so that i'd stand a better chance against PKers
Yes i will play
And besides sword art online what other vr games would you like to play in full dive
You want a realistic recipe for a real full dive? Its nothing like VR headsets
1. Neuralink = direct brain image, audio and data/information back-to-back streaming and full body stimulation simulation
2. "unknown device" = full body paralyze to prevent you from moving irl while moving in virtual world
We need these two to realise the full dive.
a VR is a window into a screen. a full dive is a window into a matrix
jup but it would be a big problem to make that in real life regarding morals i think
As a child, my dream was to have the power to jump into any story. This is a huge step towards that becoming a reality. All in.
excactly and do you also want to full dive into sword art online?
If the neural link and this combine, it'll create the gear from accel world
Would be awesome right ?
I hope palmer luckey makes a great SAO inspiration, MMO RPG game, and FullDive VR. But his own VR headset is really deadly. But if it's a game over for real life for me, i will die. And i will do so bravely. Which Fulldive VR MMO RPG game for inspiration of SAO?
1. Dungeons & Dragons VR online
2. Pathfinder VR online
3. Champions VR online (which is a superhero MMO RPG)
4. Kingdom Hearts VR online
5. Elder Scrolls VR online
would be a dream come true
When full dive comes out, the price tag won't matter no more. I'll make it happen.
lets goooo
I can’t be the only one who would want to go through the entire SAO experience with being trapped and stuff
yeah i would be up to go aswel
Wrist thing its not stupid idea. But it would have to work the same as nervgear. This means not so much to be guided by signals as to intercept them completely. Excluding hands (and legs too) from use.
And, for example, you sit in a deep armchair. You put bandages on your wrists and ankles. You put on some kind of oculus rift or something. You activate the bands with a voice command. And now you can walk in virtual space and your limbs just lie still.
jup
the perfect vr is a one that comes with a vr gloves and walk station
One day my friend
That's awesome! Keep it up guys... one thing though it still won't be full dive. So I still won't buy anything until then. i get what you mean but that is very difficult to achieve
cant wait to full dive into sword art online
soon we can with a real life nervegear
in all reality i dont think the prices will remain this high. once it becomes easier and as tech moves along i expect the prices to be much cheaper. still somewhere between $1,000-$5,000, which yes is a lot, but if i can get the full dive just like SAO, i'd gladly spend money like that, assuming i have stable income

1. brain rupture.
2. Computing limitations

I used this headset while working at a BCI medical company focused on EEG (the main signal GALEA uses), and I must clarify that it is not even close to what you would define as a full dive.
