I'm running a clean 1000 WRMS to each of these subs. Broke them in and the bass is ridiculously ridiculous and smooth. No problems whatsoever. Very underrated sub
@@freeair7292I'm currently running them in a sealed box which I'm almost certain has not enough air space. Anyways, I am sure if I had everything right they would sound pretty good but I would recommend the Type R's!
Looks like your stereo shop under sold you too. They sold me a 600 mono. And this was idk 2 or three months ago.....today i went to a different shop and having that pulled out and installing a 1000 watt tomorrow. I can’t imagine what my s12s are going to sound like with an extra 400 watts. 🤯
Your not underpowering these subs like everyone here is saying. They are forgetting rated rms is a marginal number and that these subs are dvc so your all your really doing (if they are even 500rms rated) is underpowering them a little over 100rms each voice coil. And like I said even if they are 500 rms rated. That's a marginal number. They can handle 300 rms just fine no probs. 50% less then rated is a little underpowered yes, so which is why I would say you are underpowering them.. but no where near as bad as people are saying
Each sub is 500rms and your using a 500rms amp probably only giving 150rms in reality ... no wonder it looks like you are running 7 Watts . And trunk flex!?
DopeyFresh 250 , 150 same thing . Just a 3db difference. He should be running one of these amps to each sub . Not 1 for both of them . I run a 1200 Watts rms at 1ohm for 2 of these . Probably in reality getting closer to 1000rms .
Yes sir , one of mine developed coil rub as well , probably my fault for overpowering them for a day , but I've had them now for a year-and-a-half and haven't had any issues

I am getting ready to buy those two twelves. I hope they are all that I'm hoping for!

Im running an amp that dynos 1750 dynamic ,1280 cert, wattts rms, to 2 of them and they handle it
James Crabtree one of mine started rattling so I returned them and got 4 Polk dB instead . They sound muchhh smoother and hit way deeper
I'm getting these next week and I'm getting 2 of those amps to each sub

I blew two of these 12 inch subs and went to R's
Subwoofers dont need break in. That's a myth. Lmao
Chris Voncannon
Actually... they do need a period for the surround and soft parts to loosen up.
Orion amps and skar amps are the only true wattage amps. Everything else is on 28 to 30 percent of what they say the amp will do.
Thats totally not true...
Biggest lie
What amp are you using?
Mrp m500
Brother there is no breaking in 😼 slaps them bches from day one 1️⃣
