I have the 23 Z650 which is a nice bike, however I did a Suzuki demo ride I rode the 8S and I’m hooked. I did ride the 8R didn’t care for it I’m a naked guy. Come spring I may purchase the 25 8S.
@@sipafifth thanks man. I am doing a video today on rain gear. I should be able to post it tonight. Thanks. I installed heated handgrips, a cell phone holder, and removed the tail fender. I recommend them all. However because of the rain, I ordered a rear mud guard. It comes in next week and I will install it and talk about it. I am still trying to figure out the exhaust. There are limited options and all are expensive.
Sounds like we have very similar taste in motorcycles. Got my (white) GSX 8S a little over a year ago and its been a great bike so far. It was actually my second choice of the ones I'd been researching but Honda never released the Hornet for sales in the US. No buyers remorse though as there's lots of things I prefer with the 8S and after reading all the reviews it sounds like the Suzuki is a better overall bike. I got to see all the colors of the 2025 MT07 a couple of weeks ago and it's very nice in person but still prefer the appearance of the 8S. It does feel noticeably lighter sitting on it but not sure that would be enough of a reason to upgrade but looking forward to seeing reviews to confirm all the upgrades work well together and how the yet unavailable QS system works. 2025 Trident 660 also nicely upgraded with more attractive paint (IMO), new IMU, revised suspension, standard QS, and cruise-control.
Back in 2017 I bought the SV650 - great bike. I like round headlights on naked bikes. Were I to get a new bike today, I wouldn't go with the 8S because I would want a bike with cruise control. For that reason, I'd probably consider the XSR900. They didn't change the colors for 2025, which is weird. I'm not a fan of the red and white. The 2025 MT-07 is another option. It has cruise, but it makes the same power as my SV, and I don't like the front cowl/headlight. If Suzuki makes a retro version of the 8S with cruise control, I might get it. For now, I'll stick with my SV.
Keep making videos! I’m looking for a bike right now myself. I’m struggling between a naked bike and a supermoto, have you considered a SM? I actually really like the GXS-8S but also considering the Yamaha XSR-900, and CF Moto 800NK in the naked category. Would you consider a CF Moto? I know it’s supposed to be the same as the Duke…
@ they look solid except the inability to disengage ABS and TC. I ended up getting the DRZ400SM. Figured it was a fun compromise but I like the ability to upgrade and the lack of the electronics

@@RodeoRides awesome man.
Awesome vid. Can you do one like this for the accessories? Also would like to see your opinion on rain gear too!!

Do you ride year round? I'm also in Oregon. Looks like we might not be too far apart. (Portland Metro)
@@ItsYourBoyRo yes. I do ride year round. It is great. I work in Portland and that is where I ride. I plan to do a gear update video really soon.
