    Monetization idea: combine all the racquet review scores into a pdf, and add some descriptions, sell for the price of a coffee, (this is what Foot Doctor Zach does)

    • @curttheboywonder
      @curttheboywonder 2 роки тому

      Zach actually does fairly objective testing. While I find the Gladiators wildly entertaining, I wouldn’t put much weight behind their version of that scoring system. At the same time, it probably wouldn’t cost them much. Why not take money from people willing to part with it.
      However they are a super fun group to watch. Some much needed tennis fun.

      The boom pro does take some time to get used to it due to it's sweat spot and power. Just a one session play and review does not give this racquet justice according to my experience.

    Very true and I completely agree with y’ll on this. I tested this racquet along with extreme tour and yonex ezone 98 considering the specs were almost similar. Head Boom was very unstable. I loved the paint job but that’s it. Extreme tour and ezone were way better in generating controlled power, had a better sweet spot, STABILITY and precision. Boom just failed in all the necessary categories. I think it’s
    only good for beginners who just like pushing the ball in

    Interesting review. Most other reviews on this racquet were positive-ish .. but I can almost see what you mean. The ball speed on most of the shots appear lower than in your other play tests, including serves.

Is there any chance you guys can start checking the unstrung static weight and balance before you hit the courts? Hi guys how are you?
    you are very nice and full of life congratulations.
    Regarding the Boom pro (I have 2) I confirm that it is unstable and has no penetration on the ball. Now I have customized them - complete with everything they have a total weight of 347 grams and a balance of 32 with a SW of 337 (2 grams on the stems and the rest of the lead at 12 o'clock) and monofilament strings at 18 Kg. ...now I want to see if it is they are still unstable and if finally it has a good push. Without this modification, the ball just doesn't come out of the stringbed and tastes like nothing.
    If you want, I'll let you know after I try them.

    Hm heard a lot of positive stuff, therefore I ordered myself a test racket. I was hoping to find a more controlled pure aero tour with this one...
    I will also try the ezone 98, the vcore 98, the head extreme tour, the babolat pure aero vs and the dunlop cx300 tour (the yellow one).
    I know, that I will need to customize all of them, but it seems there just isn't a 98 racket with my anticipated specs. Perhaps The boom will be awesome with about 6g of lead at 3 and 9 & 4g in the grip. (I am opting for about 330g swingweight)

    • @gladiatorstribe
      @gladiatorstribe  2 роки тому

      It's definitely less powerful than the PA Tour. Customizing it can definitely make it a way better racket. I (Grisha) would start with something similar to what you've mentioned in terms of weight distribution.

    • @Gamertaaag
      @Gamertaaag 2 роки тому

      @@gladiatorstribe Yeah, according to your descriptions, I thought that this distribution could be good.
      Buuut, I don't want to make a shitty racket somewhat good. I know fo granted, that the Babolat Pure Aero VS, the Vcore 98 and the Head Extreme Tour are great, so I would definitely prefer to make a great racket fit me pefectly, instead of making an okay racket good.
      The thing that got me into the Head Boom Pro was actually the Tennis-Warehouse review.Not because the scores where that awesome (which they were), but the scores were the most evenly distributed I have ever seen. I thought this must be the most well-rounded racket ever. I thought that it performs equally well in every department, and therefore consistency is its biggest strength.

My friend demoed this racket 3 weeks ago, and warned me that his was 8 grams underneath what it said it should be. I got mine in, and it was 339 grams, 10 grams heavier! My shot is more loopie and balls dip inside baseline with ease. Perhaps it’s my swing pattern vs yours.
