Just put a deposit on one today. My 20 year old car died and looking for a manual with a normal hand brake. Heard some horror stories about the electronic hand brake. Such as if the battery is flat you cannot unlatch it. I love the look of Mazdas and can’t wait to get it in my hands. Do some driving which I’ve been fearful of with my old car for the longest time. Thank you Mazda for making a manual car without the electronic hand brake and thank you for the warranty and capped service prices.
We just got the call that ours has made safely to Europe and than to my country. Was fearing the Huti rebels will blow it up in the Red sea😕. We are taking it over next week. PS yes, I too wanted a car as classical as possible.
2 months with my Humora Aka and I don’t get more than 44mpg even cruising at 70. The full beam only dips automatically or goes on again when you enter or leave a lit up area, you have to take off full beam manually for an oncoming car. Apart from that, I love it and it’s a big step up from my last 2016 sport nav 95hp Mazda 2.
I wish Mazda sold the Mazda2 hatch in the USA still, & in good/sporty trim levels. I would rather see that here than the Mazda3 hatch. Give their lineup more model/size variety, overall.
I own now a Mazda 2 or Demio in some parts in the world. My next car is a Mazda 3 hatchback SkyActiv X engine, Soul Red, manual. Love the design and luckily no small lownmower engine
Very nice car. Good looking. Shame it didn’t have the infotainment system from the 3. That would be a true game changer. Screen does look different though
these engines can be remapped by super chips to give more power, all 3 versions are the same just restricted through software. they can make 128bhp once remapped!
We have just ordered it. I live in a 2000 year old Adriatic old Roman town with narrow streets. I dont need more power nor bigger car. Ive been driving my 21 year old Peugeot 206xs, loooove it! A brilliant little car, never had any problems with it. 113000kms. It is hard to part from it😔 but it is time to get something new. I, personally, do not need nor want a super modern car and I dont want extra gudgets. Mazda 2 is both proven and modern enough for me.
Excellent review 👍🏻. I've subscribed all the way from Australia. People greatly misjudge the Mazda 2. They clearly have never driven them. I've had mine since 2011 and it's been a gem. It's capable (we've taken it for day trips, driven it on highways), reliable (the petrols, heard mixed things about the diesels), fun to drive, and look great (in my opinion). I want a new car, and after considering the Suzuki Swift, Kia Picanto, and Toyota Yaris - the Mazda 2 still comes out on top for me.
I've had my 2018 Mazda 2 for four years now which is good going for me as I can get bored with cars after a couple of years. So it must be good. And it really is. It's just such a complete little car that does all the important things very well. I did think that Mazda might have brought out an all new generation model though as this one approaches it's tenth birthday...
Nice car, nice drive, but not only focused on city driving. Some Eibach springs (2014+ model's match brilliant), a set of TEIN endura pro shocks, F+R AutoExe antiroll bars and UltraRacing chassis bars (full set) on a G90 2023 2nd fl model and here we go...Still looking for a tuning expert to raise hp (all three 75/90/115 versions with 13:1 comp. ratio climb to 125/130hp, as far as hardware is the same, only ECU programs alter) in 15:1 compression engines. Gears are not enough closed for this engine, so a first step was a 185/65-15 replacement with 185/55-16. Things to be done...
These are great cars. Had one as a courtesy car when my MX-5 went in for its service last year. Great handler. Definitely recommend the 115hp 1.5 though.
Really thinking of getting one, because I can’t stretch my budget to the Mazda 3, which is around 8000€ more than the 90PS Mazda 2… Think I’ll be happy with it? 😅
What did you end up getting? My husband, who used to drive a lot for his last job, drove my Mazda 2 and fell in love with Mazda. When it was time for him to get a car he got the Mazda 3 sedan which is now our 'family car' (we have a young son), and what he drives to work. But guess what? He still enjoys driving my Mazda 2 😁 All Mazdas are good to drive. Get what fits your budget, and your lifestyle.
@@Safiyyah.610 Me and my partner are actually in the process of buying one right now. Going for a test drive tommorow. We are going for a used 4 years old Mazda 3 in polymetal grey (150HP, with a good amount of kit like darkened windows, 18” alloy wheels etc) for 17.500€. We also only needed one car due to our housing conditions changing, so we easily stretched the budget for a 3. Hope it’ll be fine and that we’ll love it.
I am very happy to hear that you have potentially found a Mazda that suits your lifestyle. Sounds like a good buy. I hope everything works out!! Btw polymetal grey is amazing (all Mazda colours are though). We also survived with one car for as long as we could (the Mazda 2!!). It helped us save money to travel. My husband had to get a car as I had to start doing afternoon school pick up.
It's such a same that the 3rd generation Mazda 2 isn't being sold in the USA anymore since the market here is filled with mediocre SUV's that many people don't have a good reason to own other than "It's safer and more roomier" which is somewhat true, that is the cargo space for the average SUVs get's outclassed by a Honda Fit and arguably more unsafe than a normal sedan due to a higher center of gravity and poor visibility that causes more harm than good. I am curious to see if Mazda 2 is still being made today and surprised when similar cars like it are made elsewhere than the USA which makes me very happy. Good review!
Why do you measure fuel in gallons yet at the gas stations we buy in litres?. Please always give specs in litres. Now let me first go convert gallon to litres and miles to kilometres, and return watch the rest of the video.😂😂😂😂
Mazda has gone crazy and is an arrogant brand. They changed the bumper of the car and call it a new model. This is a psychiatric diagnosis. Is it strange that Mazda is ditching the B-Class? They don't want to upgrade, they just changed the bumper and now they think it's a new car. Do they think people are stupid? Why don't they want to upgrade this class? They bought a Toyota Yaris from Toyota and now they think it's their car? But it doesn't have Mazda style, ?? In general, Mazda is a very strange brand. I have never seen such strange things

Hi there, Great video. Would you recommend the 115ps? What's the HUD like? I hear some say it's hard to see if you sit too high.
