145:40 Love Charlie's Character. The entire time Charlie is giving this "reassuring" speech Charlie hides his hands until stands up putting them of the table. After they leave we get to see Charlie hands move uncontrollably due to his addiction. Love this.
I love how Kate has that plot armor just like most final girls in thriller/horror movies. There are so many ways for her to escape certain deaths and it all falls down to her luck or certain coincidences (loose window in the vacuum trap and the screwdriver that saved her from being crushed to death). It's like she's meant to be the main character of The Devil in Me.
im sorry can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that this game literally just came out today and there is already a full best choices playthrough out
Not if it was rushed through just to get a "first" on UA-cam then no - like, for instance, not allowing people to read any of the lore because the player was in too big a hurry to allow that to happen. I would've been happy to wait another day if it meant I could enjoy the actual story so there is more immersion than just wondering who if anyone is going to buy the farm. It's always better when you know WHY things are happening.
@@hannable70 so i havent watched the video yet, but shirrako usually does a good job with taking enough time for people to pause and read lore stuff without making it too long for those who dont want to, so im putting some hope that he does that here too plus he is usually pretty good at finding all of the things so once again putting my faith that he found all the things, ill find out when i watch this later ig
@@hannable70 Rushing through text like this is pretty common for UA-camrs. Some viewers want to read it, but not everyone. The ones who want to read it can just pause the video for as long as they need to read it. You can see at 3:08:30 that he scrolls through the text on the right side of the letter, so viewers can pause it at the beginning and end of the text... Some videos actually DO stop to let viewers read, but as i dont know how long its gonna let me read, i usually pause it anyway, just so i can read in my own tempo. I prefer a SHORT stop, so the video will resume shortly after i press play...
@@hannable70 You have to PAUSE. Everyone reads at different speeds and nobody can time it perfect for everyone. If he was just clicking in and out that'd be a problem, but he leaves enough time to pause for all pages.
@@hannable70 Ikr. It's such a game when they didn't bother to wait few seconds before flipping or putting down the notes/books for us to pause and read. I'm currently at the scene where Charlie is finding his cigarette and Shirako flipping the notes so fast it's hard to pause on mobile lol. Wish they'd take 2 seconds at very least instead instantly flipping and putting readable stuffs down 😂
5:34:42 Salim is U.S. State Police, now? And Kolchek is a “judge”, Fliss is Jamie, Brad was Morello, etc. Interesting to recognize the facemodels between games, but if they’re going to dress them up differently per game it might be a better choice to model new characters off of their actors.
aside from budget, i think it's a good way to keep them just connected enough across stories. Also makes you see them as actors as opposed to characters. I kinda like how they reuse models.
Respect on Jamie. Seeing a woman who knows even sometimes when a bad happens, she understand that due to her own choices is what got her in that situation
The only thing i hate about how this series has grown recently is that they always include a bad outcome on the best good ending, its rewarding to keep everyone alive at all costs and receive the best ending possible but it just feels insulting with the bad outcome at the end. I get it, horror game its not all sunshine and rainbows but its an earned outcome.
I got an Ending where Kate Dies and the other 4 Characters Survive to the very End of the game, and it really was more impactful if Kate Dies in the Wall crushing trap for the end of the games story, The other 4 characters have changed throughout the story, mostly for Mark because he was a character that I kind of cared about, and he lost his love interest, Makes his character development Hit harder, and that right there is the most rewarding...
I KNEW THIS HOTEL LOOKED FAMILIAR my mind was screaming that this felt like it was based on the Murder Hotel. Man literally turned the hotel in a death trapped and killed his guests. this is a legit thing that happened irl. of course the hotel is no longer there as it was torn down, but now a post office is in its place.
There were no death traps in the "mUrDeR hOtEl" and H.H. Holmes killed, at maximum, 10 people. The only one he was convicted of killing was his partner in crime, Benjamin Pitezel.
HH holmes is one of the most famous serial killers and was the first known one in america. idk why youre acting surprised. "This is a legit thing that happened irl" like yah no shit bro.
It's not legit. It based on the yellow press made-up stories and The Devil of the White City book, which is fiction. Real H.H.Holmes was an insurance fraud, terrible doctor and yes, a killer. But there is no way he murdered >200 people. His victims were his lovers, who most likely died from abortions he conducted and three children of the partner-in-crime he killed
I never thought I'd find a video game based off of an actual serial killer. I'm interested to see what they did with the concept, once I finish the video of course.
These Dark Anthology games scratch a really weird itch, I dislike them as a game and don't play them, however, I love watching them as a movie! Thanks for the upload!
So righhhhht. I'm a scaredy cat but at least I'd feel like trying to play (and sometimes I do) but this dark anthology series I never feel that itch to play. It's better to watch others playing and see their choices 😆
@@MidoriGa95 it's not even the jumpscares. Personally I play a lot of games that have them, it's the Life Is Steange esq way they play. They just feel akward to play to me
@@volreki Yeah I totally get it. Though about me, I don't play horror games is not mainly because of jumpscares (because for movies I'm a fan of horror and thriller genres). It's because of the intensity of suspense plus the thought of I kind of "being there" which I really hate. Maybe that explains why I dislike surprises and when I get shocked I tend to freeze lol
5:34:39 I know that sometimes they reuse the character model, but that's truly interesting. It makes me think that these worlds in the Dark Picture Anthology are somehow connected.
They are connected! Have you played House of Ashes? There's a scene that shows the car accident that Eric and Rachel were in. It shows that the car accident happened in Little Hope. It's an awesome scene.
I may be high but the delusion over du med is astounding. I'm about 2hrs in this game and almost everyone's making excuses for this man's whereabouts knowing full well he dipped out along time ago.
4:00 HH Holmes. Truly a sick a vile man. The timing of the release of this game is most fortuitous, as I just finished reading the Devil in the White City, a dramatized biopic of the Chicago World’s Fair and the horrors and maladies surrounding it. Most people would say that Jack the Ripper was the world’s first serial killer, but I believe that distinction should go to the 3H. This man committed murder not as a twisted form of “art” like so many serial killers do, but he made it into a science. A sick and twisted science. He formatted the rooms of his hotel like gas chambers, suffocating people on the fumes. He build a bank vault into the hotel, trapping people inside, allowing them to starve or suffocate as the choice may be. He locked children in steamer trunks, and then pumped gas in through hoses he built in the sides. He even murdered his own partner and acolyte, using his death to profit off of the insurance money, and then doctoring documents to gain custody of his children. He built his hotel into a murder castle, and I lose no sleep over the fact that it was burned down many a year ago.
Yep, texture popping, shadow popping, the voice acting is terrible, the cut scenes weren't refined. Generally it seems like they were rushed and didn't get to do any real polishing on the final product.
@@MikeJones__Who it’s really disappointing because I was really looking forward to this one and seeing how they handled H.H. Holmes and his murder hotel.
The first sequences with the couple from the past are REALLY badly animated, the faces are just creepy. The animation around the eyes is lacking, and it makes their expressions strange af. But it gets better as the game goes on. It's just sad that the first impression that we get is that, like, the worst animations are exactly the first ones you see lol
I have to say, while watching the gameplay is quite entertaining, the fact that the characters' eyes don't focus on anything -- they just look straight ahead, unrealistically, despite their heads' movements -- is quite jarring. Cool video nonetheless, just my input on the game series.
This game has to many awkward pauses and weird just silence moments right after speaking to one another they just sit there and look at each other like did you speak
Yeah, you are right. But I'm impressed how much details they got right otherwise. About the wording and the mannerism. It reflects the times really well.
only 5 min in and i feel like this one is a drop in quality from house of ashes, but its also more ambitious so im hoping that the next installment has the best of both!
I agree. I loved the premise so much and got hooked pretty quickly but that soon dropped with the inconsistencies, token disability that’s only convenient for a couple plot points and the janky dialogue. It’s strange because these are all great actors. There just wasn’t enough dialogue and the delivery, at times, was odd
It's supposed to give the game replay value. So if you make an obvious mistake you can play through again to see what happens with another choice. Getting everything right easily the first time wouldn't give people a reason to play again.
And just like Until Dawn and the others, it's become a habit at this point to search for any odd anomalies. In this one, it'll have to be the image on the right at 14:39 as Marie checks her reflection on the mirror. I'm barely starting through this gameplay, so it's the first that I've caught at least.
The ending is kinda weird, The girl gets invitation to the murder castle but it actually doesn´t matter. Since the group survived and obviously told everything there will be like 100 cops searching everything on the island soon. Also the Murder castle will be destroyed after.
That's a different resort bro. The real question is, how the hell is the killer even walking after falling from a couple stories high, then taking an anchor through his right chest, much less setting up another murder party god knows where. I'm more inclined to believe there are multiple murderers assuming the DuMet identity (each location has their own DuMet maybe) at this point.
@@Raidenze I think the game implies the killer is more possessed by a demon or the devil. Hence the games title. If you look at the curators list of murderers, it might be the people that entity possessed. Hence Holmes warning in the beginning that killing him would not stop him from more murder was not prosaic lunacy, it was meant literally as that.
There are subtle hints there are two killers. The former FBI agent turned serial killer and someone called The Dollmaker. The FBI guy is the bigger one who dies at the end of the game but the Dollmaker survives and continues their murder hotels
I think it's because Mark has a phobia of heights that they decided to put him through that. Like a hero conquering his fears for the sake of the greater good.
1:18:19 there is a super cute detail here. All the checkout days have the same handwriting, BUT the check in days are all almost different; you can see where some characters wrote more than once.
Tbh, this game is a step up from the earlier games, its actually intense, even if there are parts that are BS like that time when Lonnit hid in the freezer with his lighter on which the killer didn't saw, the ending is just good, regarding the story about whether the police or people will believe them, I think they'll do, the evidence is right on their nose, not the images taken, but the actual island, damn this game was worth the wait.
I don't understand how the fact that the host of the castle's name is Du'Met and they didn't broadcast it in the news?? It's like yeah let's go to this nice invitation from Mr. Du'Met to his new castle, just because the news didn't broadcast his name. In the real world it would have been one of the top 3 details regarding the story, but here it seems the name of the murderer is something trivial and not worth mentioning.
Idk, out of all the supermassive games I've seen (Until Dawn, House of Ashes, Little Hope) this one was the least entertaining. Couldn't connect with any of the characters, the killer both underpowered & overpowered at the wrong time, like when they're all hiding in the doorway to the control room & he just walks past them oblivious as hell, or when he fell face first down the mansion, should have broken quite a few bones but somehow he has supernatural regeneration. They did that only bc it would've been too easy, but why include that scene at all? by the time I got to the scene where he pops up on the boat I just had to roll my eyes bc he was already a ways away from them after they took off, & they would've seen him hang on if that's what he was doing. I guess it's a recourring theme in these games where once you think you're safe theres a final showdown, but this one was way too predictable. & in the furnace charlie would've def died from smoke inhalation if the heat inside the grate didn't cook him first, all of that is metal. I couldn't understand the side plot with Munday either. & The death scenes were pretty boring compared to the others

When I saw the Spaced premonition all I could think was "The hell? Was the serial killer an alien or something?". Turns out, it was a premonition for the next game. Shame. I was kinda curious how the story was going to end up in space even if I knew deep down that was impossible.
Oh, the minute I heard Henry Howard Holmes I knew it was going to be fucked, the H.H. Holmes murder hotel is a fascinating and gruesome thing...hard to believe it actually existed
H H Holmes was not nearly as gruesome as other infamous serial killers though. Most of his story was largely embellished due to yellow journalism, sensationalism, and incompetent police investigations. He claimed to have murdered 27, but some of those people were actually alive.
Can we just discuss how du'met survived in the end? First of all how the fuck he got attached to the boat and attacked them in the middle of the lake and how the hell did he survived being impaled, strangled and pulled up to the motor?

Honesty! I was like dude turn off your lighter and you can clearly see in the background that Charlie was peeking out/opening the lid and i was like how can you miss that??
That's actually a bug. Even if you fail the "keep calm", he dies while still holding the lighter in his hand. It's weird and I can't find much footage of it online.
Would be nice if we could actually ... like ... read things. Not saying you have to spend 2 minutes showing every piece of lore, but you don't even give enough time for people to pause it. In addition when there is a scrollbar, you rarely scroll the message. That kind of ruins the story aspect of these games.
interestingly enough you can keep the screwdriver with Jamie and accept to die quotations marks and when the glass come towards her the glass breaks from the screwdriver ( also I am curious why you rejected the kiss )
Thanks for the upload ! I never had high expectations for this series and if you look back on Man of Medan, it started off with a weak title and unplausible source of horror. Little Hope played the same card (hallucinations) differently but to no avail. House of Ashes was a step up, especially with its characters and while The Devil in me has a great intro... The core experience is, in my opinion, lackluster. Yes, the crew is do desperate they are willing to a go on such a shady trip, but they keep making predictable mistakes afterwards. But I must confess I do not appreciate slasher stories much- notably with those sort of killers made of irons and apparently able to teleport offscreen when the Script demands its. The most egregious moment for me was when the killer tried to "trap" the whole gang, unarmed, and they all fled while they could have easily overpowered him. The Curator's final speech implies another season of the Dark Pictures, but I'm not honestly not sure if this could be a good idea.
I get it, the murderer was very slow and while he was an ex cop he could have been easily overpowered, especially that apparently he didn't have his Axe when Charlie "tackled" him. They could have beaten him to death really. And on the boat, they could have pushed him down like nothing. The killer was also extremely clumsy, missing so many hits and not seeing that Charlie was in that trunk even tho he had his lighter on ( maybe that was just a scripting detail /bug that was left forgotten ). Also, Mark, was extremely weak, the killer just grabbed him twice by the head and almost impaled him into the axe... Mark could have just put up a better fight but anyway, the game had a very good intro, but became meh the more time passed.
This game's great, but the last 1/3 didn't really make sense when the cast outnumbered the killer 3 to 1 in the control room and did nothing, then later 5 to 1 multiple times and STILL didn't try to just dogpile the guy, especially when they had numbers on him. I realized it's because you're expected to lose most of your members by that point (at least 3 I reckoned), but it was still a little immersion breaking. Later the killer immediately setting ANOTHER murder spree at a resort after being anchored through the right lung and drowned is even crazier. And previously he fell from a couple stories up and just KEPT MOVING (also why didn't the girls just kill him then like come the fuck on). Like is the guy half-Iron Man? At some point "being driven" just doesn't cut it as an explanation, even John Wick had to take weeks and months to recover after severe injuries.
I think he’s meant to be somewhat immortal, ‘the devil in me’ referencing H.H.Holmes’ quote about him coming back. I do agree that it isn’t explained enough and the fact that there wasn’t a full SWAT send out to the island is just ridiculous
I do get a little tired of stories that give characters artificial handicaps - as if that's supposed to be suspenseful. Instead, you're practically told precisely what's going to happen later. Does Mark really need to have a paralyzing phobia of heights? Does Erin really have to be an asthmatic? Personally I'm pretty well burned out of characters in the horror and action genres who are either a) afraid of heights, b) diabetic and do not have insulin, c) asthatic and do not have a nebulizer (or its empty) or d) they're pregnant and are 10 minutes from popping their kids.
I nearly started watching something else after Erin didn't say anything about 1) The killer giving her the inhaler she was screaming to her friends about, 2) She saw the dummy first, then the lights went out, 3) The killer cut off some hair? (at least I think that's what happened), 4) They claim she hallucinated - PEOPLE DONT JUST HALLUCINATE, 5) Erin did a shit job of explaining what happened and instead resorts to "I KNOW WHAT I SAW" god I hate that trope its just lazy writing.
It was mentioned that DuMet specifically seeks out outcasts, and not just any outcasts, but those that are easy to prey on. Jamie's probably the only one who's fit and strong enough to give DuMet an actual fight, and she at the beginning is quite antagonistic toward everyone around her.
As a disabled person I am 100% with you on this take. It’s the most exhausted trope to give someone a handicap, that’s not even well researched or has much impact on the plot. You’re spot on that it’s ALWAYS diabetes, asthma or pregnancy. It’s only ever disabilities that’s people know of. Erin barely even needs her inhaler despite the masses of running she does and she somehow makes it to the lighthouse so extremely quickly 💀
Imagine if we got a game like The Devil In Me but it had the exploration and open environments of Resident Evil 2 Remake. There would also be the dread of being stalked by a Serial Killer.
I'm glad this series exists but this particular entry was hard to watch. The concept was cool but it relied on old tropes - nobody believes each-other, people trip over air, plot armour for some characters and a seemingly invincible antagonist when the plot is based on reality and not the supernatural. It just seemed to lean on tropes that have been done thousands of times at this point and it just feels like lazy storytelling. Just my opinion.
100% agree. Also so over the disability trope. It’s always diabetes, pregnancy, random amputation or asthma. Erin’s asthma didn’t stop her from getting to the lighthouse at super speed but she had an asthma attack at convenient points 💀. Why did none of them adequately communicate? Why did Charlie even accept this extremely suspicious offer? It’s all lazy. I understand that they wanted to make DuMet somewhat invincible due to Holmes’ own quote on coming back and being unstoppable but it wasn’t executed well at all because it implied reincarnation and not straight up invincibility
As long as the games sell, they can make as many as they want. There can easily be multiple trilogies of games or standalone games. Just depends on the demand.
Imagine downplaying the player just because he didn't figure out kate's "secret" and talking smack cause he got LITERALLY everyone out alive. Also if anything Kate's secret is like being scared of failure or losing people. Something simple like that but that's crazy that he talks shit like that at the end.☠️
Wow this game’s dialogue was absolutely disappointing. The screenwriter should be fired. I was so excited for this game but they just dragged on the plot for 2 1/2 hours. No thriller, too many jumpscares and no enough horror. The investigation’s evidence were too repetitive and overally emotional. I loved all their games but this one made me sad. The graphics, plot and character actors were over the top amazing though! Very much an improvement on the company which im happy about! Just couldn’t waste my time sitting through it without skipping it
Voice acting was terrible. Very dry and emotionless. The game seems very unrefined. Even the way cuts scenes are spliced together. The transition isnt very good
That’s wasn’t him. That was Joseph Morello, one of his victims he forced into luring the protagonists to the island in exchange for his and his daughter’s survival… but he killed them anyway.
@@jaytonius560 you can actually make that happen aswell. Charlie, Erin and Jamie must be dead before arriving into the lighthouse. Kate must choose to help Mark and Mark had to accept Du'Met's offer.
It was honestly a bit underwhelming in the end since they had so many opportunities to just attack themselves. I know the game has to account for a few members being dead at that point too, but it should have branched out the moment 3 or more members were present to allow a route where they can counterattack. I do believe in the theory of there being more than one killer, hence the reason he could be seemingly everywhere. Sure, he had it all mapped out and on camera but the amount of walking he would have needed to do would have almost required him to teleport at times to be on everyone's heels. Sure, we have the possession theory but that alone doesn't quite convince me how he would have made it that quickly. Especially when they've always shown him using more of a brisk walk rather than running after them. Yet he still caught up to running people like it was nothing. Same with the ending. It's a bit unlikely that he would have made it out alive. If they had wanted to go with the possession granting him supernatural powers, then why bother making such an intricate building and surveillance system? It would also explain why he didn't talk. Because the voice might have given away that they're different people. Though I'm glad he didn't talk. This whole "enticing others to become mass murderers" mind game doesn't seem very convincing in my opinion and the recordings and data with agent Munday left many questions unanswered. An agent falling for such blatantly flawed arguments and lashing out to kill the murderer... It didn't feel like they put much thought into the dialogues and psychology of serial killers. Like calling it art. The reason for calling it art instead of murder made zero sense and was more self-serving nonsense than actually manipulative arguments. Obviously, it's not art. Taking photos of dead animals isn't something that's universally considered art to start with. So I would have expected something more intelligent that would make people stagger perhaps instead of presenting his superficial and flawed opinion on why he's not a murderer but an artist. It felt so shallow. He wasn't delusional enough to mot see that it was still murder, no matter what word he used to make it seem like he was different from other murderers. Same with the argument that nothing profound anyone has ever done can compare to watching someone die. It's obviously not going to work on most people since it would require him to have done all these profound things himself first to make that claim. And most people certainly won't try themselves just to test if he's right because they don't lack empathy and couldn't live with the guilt of killing someone for such shallow reasons. I personally don't need to test such things to know how I would react since I already feel remorse for accidentally stepping on someone's feet by accident. Apart from the fact that we simply can't try everything to start with and most wouldn't risk a life behind bars for some pseudo-profound feeling that was promised by a psychopath - a person we all know has a skewered view on the world and people due to lacking empathy. That's like following someone who says jumping off a building without safety gear is liberating. It isn't so much that it was his opinion but that he tried to rile up Munday by claiming it's a universal feeling that got me shaking my head at how pathetic that reasoning is. It's one thing if a psychopath or sociopath cannot feel empathy and therefore doesn't hold the same values yet is aware of it, but another to have them trying to manipulate someone into becoming a murderer despite knowing most people can't and won't agree to the presented argument due to the most important factor. Empathy. While people possess different levels of empathy, even someone with low amounts tends to have a limit unless they have to protect their own life or the lives of their loved ones. It's not intelligent to say something ridiculous like that in vain and him just knowing Munday is the same... he never would have stayed on the case if he had shown any form of compliance in that regard or psychopathic/socipathic tendencies. And an agent should have known all these things when dealing with a serial killer. Nothing he said was special in comparison to what serial killers are usually presented as. In fact, it was pretty superficial. I guess I expected a bit more... intelligence when he tried to manipulate him. Making it less obvious and presenting better arguments that would make someone who is already providing weaknesses falter. But those were very... bland. Especially those two arguments but the rest also felt very generic. Even average people would find the flaws easily and wouldn't be convinced to kill for "art" nor to achieve something a serial killer considers "profound". Which kinda brings me to the point that the dialogues/monologues in the game were a little weak. For example, characters constantly pushed their own thoughts but barely, if at all, reacted to what another character said, which resulted in only few proper conversations making it into the game. They also didn't really explain anything well, instead throwing in generic phrases like "I know what I saw/heard" instead of actually explaining what they saw and heard. I don't see the point of questioning anything they say after years of working together. Why not believe your colleagues in a situation that is getting more and more dangerous? Especially after it becomes apparent someone wants to separate them and kill them. An example would be when Erin was trapped and needed her inhaler and then met the murderer who gave her the inhaler more or less. She only said "someone was there" and "I know what I saw". She didn't say that another door opened which provided some light for her to see and that someone was moving and actually handed her inhaler to her. So she chose the most awkward and useless way to "explain" what had happened to her. Or when Charlie just reacted to the accusations with "you're all mad". Way to defend yourself when being accused of selling the whole group to a serial killer. It simply didn't feel like the characters were talking to each other more often than not but every single one pushing their own thoughts until it became a convoluted mess where no one knew anything, no plans were made and no one listened. I guess it was a good part the killer didn't talk. It just would have been more simple arguments and manipulation attempts. The fact that they even fell for such obvious ones is ridiculous. Like Erin fell for that text message that was allegedly from Jamie. But they had all handed in their phones prior to even leaving the car. Yet it showed a message about something Jamie had said to Erin after she had given up her phone. Same with the edited recording of Charlie. They already knew they were in danger and they fell for some pretty stupid stuff despite outnumbering the killer in front of them. And not even picking up more weapons along the way. I think it's becoming obvious that the quick releases are drastically affecting the quality of storytelling for the Dark Pictures series at least. I wish they would take a bit more time to plan the scenario. I understand it can be hard to create several endings and routes but it's exactly why more time would do this series well. I don't think it can be attributed to a lack of funding. When people compare it to some other games of the studio and bring up Until Dawn people immediately say "but it had Sony's backing", even when those criticizing the game don't mean the graphics or gameplay necessarily being inferior but the script and storytelling. Which is not that reliant on funding. Yes, the length would be correlating to it, but writers might realize such glaring structural issues if they had more time to revise things instead of pumping out so many games in such a short amount of time. Otherwise I do think the series has potential. But more often than not, a lot of the characters and plots are reduced to generic stereotypes that aren't explored well. You can use a stereotype and still make it interesting. But they somehow failed at making this more interesting... Which is a shame. I enjoyed House of Ashes more. While that also had a lot of awkward drama, it felt at least a little more structured in terms of dialogues. It didn't constantly feel like people were talking past each other the whole time at least. The threat also felt more extreme. Sure, serial killers are terrifying, especially to the average person, but since they had so many opportunities later to overwhelm him, it was disappointing that there was no option to just team up.
bro wrote a 5 page essay. tldr: weak dialogue (ie erin saying "i know what i saw". rather than explaining the killer came through a hidden door with the inhaler). killer needed better motivation/philosophy. why main characters no jump killer? why player character fall for obvious bait (erin falling for edited call/texts). faster release = worse quality. need better story structure. wasted potential
An utter snoozefest. Kudos to you for getting the best outcome, but the playthrough was excrutiatingly long and could've been shorter at various points.
Thank you for putting this gameplay. I was playing this game on PS+, went to about the 5 hours mark, with everyone alive as well but this game is way too boring! I just could not force myself to finish it. The previous games had their issues but this is on a whole different scale of bad.
I Just Finished playing The Devil in Me yesterday, and let me tell you, it was actually good, maybe not as good as House of Ashes which I've played as such before this, but in my opinion, it was very good, also the Bugs & Glitches that everyone says is there, I barely noticed any aside from any Sound Glitches the Audio sometimes cuts silent and the SFX are off, also in my playthrough though I got the Main Protagonist Killed all because I didn't give her the screwdriver at that moment because I didn't use my Heart and instead I used my Brain, but I think the Ending is kind of better if Kate Dies cause it really furthers character development in the other 4 Characters, and the game ultimately ends where it does only without Kate and the Horror Experience changed the others, That's just my playthrough though, sometimes you just got to use heart over your head, you never know if it comes to that moment...
And I finally finished the entire gameplay vid..... and I still find Until Dawn to be the best from the entire lot of em. It was interesting when this game started out. But as it progressed further, I find myself rolling my eyes more and more, particularly when it came to certain segments that either made the characters suddenly stupid or too horror trope-ish. Seriously, you've got 3 people gluing their backs to the wall like Scooby-Doo and the killer passed through the doorway without seeing any of them? He even went onto the 2nd opening and closed the door without turning around, just so the game have an excuse for the characters not to be spotted. That's only one among the many that made me shake my head. And then there's the execution of the story and the killer himself.

@@hannable70 so i havent watched the video yet, but shirrako usually does a good job with taking enough time for people to pause and read lore stuff without making it too long for those who dont want to, so im putting some hope that he does that here too

Interesting to recognize the facemodels between games, but if they’re going to dress them up differently per game it might be a better choice to model new characters off of their actors.
Its done in purpouse to give a sense of familiarity to the games i think
aside from budget, i think it's a good way to keep them just connected enough across stories. Also makes you see them as actors as opposed to characters. I kinda like how they reuse models.
Maybe they’re inspired by American Horror Story that uses the same actors even though the seasons are different stories
Respect on Jamie. Seeing a woman who knows even sometimes when a bad happens, she understand that due to her own choices is what got her in that situation
She speak my mind gosh she so perceptive

? I'm going to go with... "if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all".
All Erin had to say was "someone brought me my inhaler" -_-
Been looking for someone to say this. 💀

I KNEW THIS HOTEL LOOKED FAMILIAR
my mind was screaming that this felt like it was based on the Murder Hotel.
Actually it's a fable that HHH kept and killed his guests in the hotel. He was a murderer though but not necessarily of strangers.
"This is my don't be scared song" "Sing it and i won't be scared long" "Aaaarghh!" I don't think this was the intended next line.
I never thought I'd find a video game based off of an actual serial killer. I'm interested to see what they did with the concept, once I finish the video of course.

Yeah I totally get it.
It’s actually for budgeting reasons. Motion capture is more expensive than most people think it is.

The guy that tried to leave was actually dead the whole time. They just never bothered to check.

He is venting like in the hit game "among us"
He could probably navigate that house blindfolded. It can appear that you're moving quickly when you're really just taking the right route
Thirty minutes in and my first impression is that animation quality seems too have taken a bit dive from the last game.
Oh I wasn’t sure what made me feel so uncomfortable while watching this, then realized ITS THE FUCKING FISH EYES
That’s probably because the facial and body capture are separate
This game has to many awkward pauses and weird just silence moments right after speaking to one another they just sit there and look at each other like did you speak
Yeah, you are right. But I'm impressed how much details they got right otherwise. About the wording and the mannerism. It reflects the times really well.
The others had better graphics and control 🎮
only 5 min in and i feel like this one is a drop in quality from house of ashes, but its also more ambitious so im hoping that the next installment has the best of both!
I agree. I loved the premise so much and got hooked pretty quickly but that soon dropped with the inconsistencies, token disability that’s only convenient for a couple plot points and the janky dialogue. It’s strange because these are all great actors. There just wasn’t enough dialogue and the delivery, at times, was odd
Don’t get me wrong the series is pretty cool just to janky
So many of these choices are like "how the fuck are you supposed to know that if you "kill" this one, she'll actually still live!"

That's a different resort bro. The real question is, how the hell is the killer even walking after falling from a couple stories high, then taking an anchor through his right chest, much less setting up another murder party god knows where.
Glad you wrote TBH at the start, I'd never have believed you otherwise.
& The death scenes were pretty boring compared to the others
also, what about the little girl? the hazmat suit people that are never seen again? so many holes
why would mr morello pretend to be dumet only to lure more people to the island if his family members died???

interestingly enough you can keep the screwdriver with Jamie and accept to die quotations marks and when the glass come towards her the glass breaks from the screwdriver ( also I am curious why you rejected the kiss )
I'm thinking the kiss was bc UA-cam algorithm maybe?
I think the games are improving with each release so I have hope for Season 2.

I accidentally got everyone killed except the dog 💀
Can the dog always be saved? If not then you played thru to the best outcome IMO. Well done.
E) probably in the pot and using hammer to climb to the moon F) got 2 hands but decided to jump to the top of tower just to save some babe never met

Ikr? The people... meh. But the dog death would be traumatic. Fr.
that makes no sense this guy in the mask literally just spawned to the boat they were on wtf. That boat should way faster then him lmao
Imagine downplaying the player just because he didn't figure out kate's "secret" and talking smack cause he got LITERALLY everyone out alive. Also if anything Kate's secret is like being scared of failure or losing people. Something simple like that but that's crazy that he talks shit like that at the end.☠️
This game is something else! Thanks for sharing.
Like what ?
@@georgedanielsbiz I like the story line. And the game is intense. I think it flowed well and there were a lot of jump scares.
@@georgedanielsbiz "something else" is a complement. It means that the game was surprising and great 👍🏿

Nice can't wait to see every single death in this game
Wow this game’s dialogue was absolutely disappointing. The screenwriter should be fired. I was so excited for this game but they just dragged on the plot for 2 1/2 hours. No thriller, too many jumpscares and no enough horror. The investigation’s evidence were too repetitive and overally emotional. I loved all their games but this one made me sad. The graphics, plot and character actors were over the top amazing though! Very much an improvement on the company which im happy about! Just couldn’t waste my time sitting through it without skipping it
Voice acting was bad here
Voice acting was terrible. Very dry and emotionless.
The game seems very unrefined. Even the way cuts scenes are spliced together. The transition isnt very good
My friend completed this stream today at 20:27pm Friday 17 march 2023
thank for your game !!! i realy love to view your playing !!
Did anyone else think that Du'Met was using a voice changing device during that call at the beginning
Did not expect that narrator had the killers hat
That ending turned them Into the new Scoobydoo gang🤣
Does the Curators Cut of the game let you see the killers face?
5:02:17 yea no way he's not seeing that light lmao
Thanks for watching expect more videos soon message me for your reward as you have been selected among our shortlisted winner's 🎁
I ain’t got time to read all that but congratulations, or sorry that happened to you!
2:22:38 Uncanny timing, reminds me of a certain huge case in the media right now. So creepy!
Also, there's very little backstory to the characters in TDPA. HoA is a bit different tho.
An utter snoozefest.
Kudos to you for getting the best outcome, but the playthrough was excrutiatingly long and could've been shorter at various points.
Is this the video that gives the best possible choices to make?
Yes
The couple's eyes are soooooo OFFFFF WTF💀

Charlie. How to conquer 2 midlife crisis in 1 day.
Thank you for putting this gameplay. I was playing this game on PS+, went to about the 5 hours mark, with everyone alive as well but this game is way too boring! I just could not force myself to finish it.
The previous games had their issues but this is on a whole different scale of bad.
Can't believe I just killed Charlie damn this game is intense
You know you can go back the the chapter when charlie lived and make good choices to survive til the end
@@StoneColdGem This was on release date but yeah I'm on my 3rd playthrough so I know now
@@stormp2982 ok
You're pretty much better off watching the 1st Halloween movie with Mike Myers.
Despite my rambling, I very much appreciate that you've played the game with its best choices, and am still looking forward to you playing their Season 2, once it comes out.
can we just point out the elephant in the room: EYE CONTACT🥲
I enjoy you playthroughs but I noticed that you missed a few thing like a few coins and the notepad I think you should another playthrough but with all artifacts and coin locations among other things
Out of curiosity what happens if you don’t hide at 56:25?
Headlines : Ciggeratte Vending Machines Permanently Banned. Mass murderer pleads not guilty, claiming that due to the situation he confronted with the lack of retail cigarettes in the area is what drove his actions.
Proud of you
Low key this game play is making me a little crazy, maybe they've already been through it but I'm searching every last nook and cranny. The running through has me like, look there! you missed that area! lol
Is the background music muted or something? I feel like there sould be more background music.
Ohh shit Curator said, "Dark Pictures" they said the title oh shit 😂😂😂
