If you think migrants are the problems why Britain is rottening away, and why no new jobs are created, why no modern infrastructures are built, why the children poverty level in England is higher than Bulgaria, why teenage pregnancy and teenage drug and alcohol use is higher than anywhere in Europe. So you need to get an education because right now, you're ignorant!

Our biggest enemies have been our own kind. My wife and I have decsmped to the West Country. East end born and bred, pushed out of there, moved to Essex, now pushed out again. Talk to people in the Dorset town town where we have re settled. Everyone we encounter ,with very few exceptions, are rabid lovey, P.C. compliant woke devotees. They sing the mantra. The one reoccurring theme amongst these people? NONE OF THEM LIVE AMONGST THAT WHICH THEY ADVOCATE !
Were they to spend any meaningful amount of time in Edgeware Rd, Plaistow, Barking, Tottenham, Sutton, East Ham etc, etc, etc, they would have different view of our situation. This Country is on course for total and utter demise. Redemption has long gone.

I'm half English and half Scottish and Dr Starkey is 150% correct in everything here.. in destroying the unique balance of our constitution Labour have destroyed the idea of Britain and now Starmer is putting the final nail in the coffin by attacking our culture and freedoms. I voted no in the 2014 independence referendum as I see myself as Scottish and British and want Scotland to remain part of the UK. But I do approve of the Scottish Parliament as at least decisions on domestic issues are made in Scotland. The constitution of the United Kingdom is flexible and has been changed many times over the centuries e.g. to reduce the power of the monarch, to reduce the power of the House of Lords, to restructure the House of Commons, to reduce the voting age from 21 to 18, etc. etc. It tries to achieve checks and balances and its uniqueness lies in so much of it being unwritten. I wasn't aware that the current Labour Government had yet enacted any constitutional change so I am unsure what you are referring to about Sir Keir's administration. Scottish independence is dead for another generation simply because it is way down the list of priorities of Scottish voters.

I'd really like to understand the reasoning behind the Blair/Brown Population Replacement project. You would think, whatever principals and motivation were being applied, that they would believe also that it was essential for the Public to be consulted, and their approval received. I was there, watching, listening, and eventually worrying about it. The policy was never highlighted in any Labour (or Tory) manifesto. No-one asked for MY permission.
We have witnessed the greatest population replacement event in Britain since the arrival of the Saxon tribes, after the Romans left. And the numbers involved are vastly greater.
If you need to apportion blame, or simply distil the reasons down to directing minds, simply enter the worlds of Heath (a minor starter) Blair, Brown, and latterly the succession of Tories who failed to stem the invasions, legal and illegal.
Can anyone explain? because those politicians' actions are destroying our once peaceful and predictable, lovely country.
    Why, why, why.

The Conservative party isn't dead or dying because of a faltering of identity in England. The English are still English. There is a view (rightfully) the Conservatives are Labour-lite. They conserve nothing, and under their watch the importation of massive numbers of foreigners who have no intention or desire to adopt English culture has accelerated. But that's more a symptom of the problem not the cause. The main issue is Parliament is no longer sovereign. Voters are merely are shuffling the deck chairs by voting but their elected representatives are greatly restrained from deciding anything. And to an extent these MPs have no desire to oppose the system or reclaim the sovereignty of the British people. Devolution makes sense because why bother with Parliament if it means nothing. Thatcher should have never signed onto the EU, Blair certainly planned on undercutting the power of Parliament (his supreme court especially egregious), but the problem predates them and both major parties contributed to the root cause.
Britain is not led by the PM or Parliament, it is ruled by its Civil Service. These bureaucrats protect their power jealously and have a history of destroying PMs who try to threaten them or they simply don't like (illustrated recently by Liz Truss). This Civil Service largely answers to no one. It is very difficult to remove a bureaucrat let alone hold them responsible for anything. Voters can throw out an MP but they increasingly live under an Orwellian tyranny where justice is applied as their supposed court system sees fit and outright punitively to remind the proles to shut up and keep their heads down or they will go out of their way to ruin their lives. The bureaucrats of this civil service largely lean one direction politically and they certainly don't hold service to the British people or listen to their elected representatives (esp. uppity Tories or Reformers or other 'fascists') as a priority.
If you want to reclaim the sovereignty of the British people then the neo-aristocrat clerisy must be dealt with. Or the British people can just bend the knee and accept it, hoping they'll be allowed to live a insulated comfortable lives so long as they don't offend their betters.
'Tolerance' is just a weapon to identify, isolate, and punish those expressing badwrongthink or doubleplus ungood opinions that the new masters find 'problematic'. You aren't 'intolerant' are you? One of those 'extreme right wing fascists'? Any who oppose them or complain are all extreme right wingers. Meanwhile they ignore those calling for the extermination of the jews or don't enforce law on those 'protected' ethnic divisions for any number of crimes in an obvious 'two tier' justice system.
Though as a side note 'free trade' is not especially part of the English character. Unless it is to mean free trade for me and not for thee. They locked their trade networks behind a walled garden of imperial mercantilism. It's why smuggling was a national past time for Americans well throughout the 18th-19th centuries to the start of the 20th century and why 'Yankee Trader ' was a near curse word. Global free trade only arose in the aftermath of the devastating WW2 and the bill was footed by the US taxpayer with the Bretton-Woods system & largely the blood or her sons (the payoff was the US kept an anti-soviet alliance together). It really only applied to access to the largest zone of free trade on the planet (left intact after the war), the United States. If you could get it on a boat you could sell it in the US and the sealanes would be protected by the USN. The reverse largely wasn't true (not without any restriction). Bretton-Woods ended in the 1970s but free trade globalization didn't (and still largely dependent on access to the US markets).
Great Britain is a maritime trading nation. It must go to sea and be able to trade for a substantial portion of its GDP. Free trade not so much. It's why Brexit was always a bad fit for them. because it gave veto power over who the British could trade with to every member state of the EU while forcing them into virtually unrestricted trade relationships with all the EU states (unprotected....which is not what the UK ever did, especially with direct competitors).
I hope the English (or British) can solve their issues peacefully but honestly I don't see the current miscreants in charge giving up their power without a fight and a lot more civil disturbance.

    My Dearest England,
As I write this letter, I hope it finds you safe and strong. I want you to know how deeply I love you and how proud I am of our rich history and heritage.
Our land, our home, is enduring a time of great hardship and change. The England we once knew, with its rolling green hills and vibrant cities, has been overshadowed by a regime that seeks to erase our past and control our future. But amidst this darkness, it is more important than ever to remember the rich heritage and culture that defines us as a people.
English culture is a tapestry woven with the threads of history, literature, music, and art. It is Shakespeare's timeless words, echoing through the ages with tales of love, loss, and human nature. It is the enduring notes of Elgar and the poetic verses of Wordsworth, capturing the beauty of our countryside and the depth of our emotions. It is the resilience and bravery of those who stood against tyranny in the past, from the Magna Carta to the suffragists.
Our culture teaches us the value of freedom, the importance of justice, and the strength found in unity. It is a culture that has celebrated the individual spirit while fostering a sense of community. It has nurtured innovation and creativity, giving birth to countless inventions and discoveries that have shaped the modern world.
But today, our culture is under threat. The regime seeks to erase our heritage, to control our thoughts and actions, and to strip away the very freedoms that make us who we are. They impose crushing taxes, limit our movements, and dictate how we should live our lives. They turn our fields into barren lands for their gain, leaving us to struggle for survival.
This is why we must fight. We fight not just for our survival, but for the preservation of everything that makes us English. We fight to protect the values of democracy, freedom, and justice that our ancestors fought so hard to secure. We fight to ensure that future generations, including you, can grow up in a world where you can speak your mind, pursue your dreams, and live without fear.
Remember, my dear England, that our culture is more than just history. It is a living, breathing part of who we are. It is in our stories, our songs, and our shared experiences. It is in the way we treat each other with kindness and respect, and in our unwavering resolve to stand up against oppression.
Hold these values close to your heart, and never forget where you come from. Know that the fight we undertake is not just for us, but for you and all those who will come after. Our struggle is a testament to the enduring spirit of our people and our unwavering belief in a better future.
Stay strong, my beloved daughter. Remember that you are part of a legacy that spans generations. And know that as long as we hold on to our values and our culture, there is hope for a brighter tomorrow.
    With all my love,
    Albion

For all your education, career experience, even life experience; you see the world through blinkers. i.e.. The death of conservative England.
This last general election had the lowest voting turnout in the nations history.
People are not just fed up with Conservatives, the majority of this nation are fed up with government, Full Stop.
Now we have an Labour Government, that does not have an mandate despite their majority, as hardly a third of the nation actually bothered to vote; scaping winter fuel allowance for the elderly and the council tax cut for elderly widowed pensioners living alone, as well as single parents.
I could rant all night, however, hundreds of years ago there was an French Revolution in France, when the people of France had, had enough of their rulers, so rose up and did away with them.
Sadly, we are not far short of the British people rising up and finishing the job that Guy Fawkes failed to do.

Give the devolved nations a choice, either
A: If you want autonomy then vote for independence
B: If you see us all as one nation, then vote to stay but all devolved governments are dissolved.

I was excited for this channel when it came out. Dr. Starkey is absolutely my favorite historian; not doubt or questions about it.
Immediately upon the channels premier, I subscribed and pledged monetary on Patreon. Dr. Starkey deserves a share of my income as a small token of my appreciation for all he's done for me over the years.
Here comes the bad news: Months ago, I dropped Pateron. Frankly the channel was not giving the promises that were due at my pledge level. Questions posed to go on answered and I only asked one. Over the past few months this channel is becoming more about current state of politics which isn't necessarily the history that I (and I suspect many others) are here for.
I am not looking for him to talk just about the Tutors or Harry and his wife. Based off the commons on all of the videos he's put out in the past few months, it seems others are interested in this content. However, I am not. I am really disappointed that he hasn't answered a single viewer question and I can't even remember how long. Those are the things that his patreons are supposed to get and are not.
I sincerely hope someone on his team reflects on the early few months of the channel, the direction it was going toward vs what it has become of late. It pains me to post this, but I feel compelled to do so. Look at the comments I posted on those early videos when they came out, what a champion I was of the channel and Patreon; you'll see I'm coming from a place of great admiration, love and respect.

As a priest what has happened to the Church of England that feels like a wet paper bag to me? Why do we have so many young people who are totally ignorant of our English and British past that is largely good and not terrible as some try and say. How have incompatibles like Sharia become established when they just do not fit and with the loss of mainly valuable and good Christian values where is the moral compass or perhaps there is none for some. If we are not united but appear as tribes with a Government that is weak and just does not listen but has its own agendas, how can we truly be successful and great. People need to embrace all that is good and no country has a perfect past. If we do not embrace this and rather attack, then I feel England is lost.

There is the British National Party (which has almost no members outside England) but I guess you want one that isn't neo-Nazi. maybe one along the lines of the SNP or Plaid Cymru, only totally anti-EU, anti-UN and anti-immigration. Only thing is, your ENP is starting to sound very like the BNP. The problem with parties founded on nationalism is that so many of them turn vile.

Reform and more importantly our nation need this man like humans need air to breath. If anyone has influence within the party should address this ASAP.

Let’s hope that a generation of Blairisation goes the way of the Interegnum. There are now signs in the youngest (and those who remember) that we need a Restoration . The ‘rump’ Conservative Party, Reform and others will re-emerge as true representatives of that most ancient of polities and people: England. There is much work to do to dismantle the foul play of the ‘Scottish Lawyer’…..

I often reflect on this matter while listening to Sir Peter Dawson sing “Drake’s Drum”.

There is a political and cultural void in England . Englishness has been under threat from new Labour and is still going on at present . England needs a new restoration and get our liberties back .

Very good tutorial. I’ve always known that the UK is a state not a nation. And you’re right of course with regards to the fact that the three Celtic nations were part of England. That’s why I have become a Welsh nationalist. Thank you for making this fact public.

What do you think is the biggest problem for a truly conservative government?
5 million Scotts or 10 million foreigners of a completely different culture and religion?
However different the Scotts are, you can’t compare them with what you have been importing.

I don't think many would object to freedom like we had in say 1970. Being able to drive petrol cars, eat meat, smoke where you want etc.

@@docastrov9013 I loved the 70's a s a child - disco dancing and ice-cream every night in the summer of '76 :). The Queen's Silver Jubilee was the highlight when we all came together at street parties and had fun.

I am a christian from India. Living and working in eastern europe. Right from my childhood, I always looked up to Britain, admired its great personalities, ( authors, thinkers, theologians, musicians, etc etc). You can say I was obssessed with anything relating to Great Britain. BUT, last year I visited the UK for the first time. I was shocked and didnt like it at all. Living and working in eastern europe for pver 5 years, I clearly saw the negative aspects of excessive immigration in UK. Also, most of the immigrants refuse to be assimilated into the english society. I felt like visiting some city in India. I cancelled my trip and went back to eastern europe after a week's stay in UK. I am so sad for you Great Britain. ❤❤. Once you had great leaders, but now..... just sad.

Very well expressed. But I would say that many urban parts of Britain have become more like a city in Pakistan rather than India.

Interesting to read your account and you write beautiful English. I would ask you to visit again and spend more time exploring different parts of the United Kingdom. Britain remains a great country and there is much that is good here. Eastern Europe is notorious for racism so I hope your life there is good. In any case, if Eastern Europe is so much better, it seems strange that so many Eastern Europeans came over to the UK to live and work between 2004 and just after Brexit.
