Stumbled on this video as I would like to start a business up doing sublimation work. I have an iron, a cricut cutting and drawing machine and I am looking in to a printer. I think this one video has saved me from spending unnecessarily. Thank you. I will be watching more of your videos. Any tips and hints for a new starter?
So the Printers Jack imk is good too. I watched other videos as well and someone said that ink looks better when sublimated than on the paper and looks like that's true for this type of ink as well. Thanks good video!
Excellent video thank you sooo much. I’m going to have to figure out how to print color wheel from Corel draw x8. Oh wow I love the coaster look. I have a lot to do! I have a et8550 being delivered soon.
How can you try different inks? Is there a way to empty and clean the tanks? Are you not supposed to mix different inks? Or are you just trying different inks in New printers? I'm super nervous what I should pick for me new printer
I am trying inks in different printers. I don't think there is too much concern with mixing inks though! I have mixed inks after this just to see and am still having great results. I just printed a design in one of my recent videos and transferred it onto a frosted can cup.
What's your recommended printer? I see you have both the Epson 15000 and the 4700 linked in your video description. Do you recommend one over the other for print quality (not taking into consideration the cost or wide format)?
Can you use the ink straight onto transfer paper? What is it that the printer does? Could I put a "paint by numbers" pic under the paper and apply the ink with a brush?
The colors look a lot different. I use PJ. The pj brown is more gray. And whats the reds and oranges look completely different pj's are not as bright. Wish I had bought hippo
I haven’t made a video since you can’t see a difference from when it’s made to when it’s been washed 20+ times! And I don’t think people will believe me 😂 It literally holds up perfectly! No fading at all so long as you use the correct blend of polyester!
Polyester is the only material that will give you vibrant colors. The more cotton and item has in it the less vibrant. Doesn't matter what brand of ink that I've experienced.
@@KarleyHall i already have workforce 7710 and i use it for sublimation but the ink isnt as good as i seen in ur video. so wondering if it is compatible with my printer.

I have! There is a little ink left in the tanks when you run out/ you won’t run out of all colors at the same time. So you may have to replace the ink one color at a time as they run out. I didn’t want to go through the trouble of emptying the tank with a syringe.
Hello This comparison is wrong. Using each ink requires its own icc profile. You evaluate the quality of each ink, you must print that ink with a specific icc profile of the same ink.
I haven’t tested either of those. Cosmos is too pricey for me so I wasn’t interested in testing it since I’m too frugal. StarCraft’s price point is more in line with what I’d spend but haven’t had a chance to test it!
Cosmos ink is $48 before taxes/ shipping and the ink doesnt come with syringes. That’s over double the price of these other options. I’m interested to see the quality- but I’m put off by the fact that you can’t get it on amazon. It’s definitely on the list to try!

I bought this printer ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 to replace an aging HP printer. It is just used for casual home printing so I don't need anything more. Installation went easily though the HP Smart Printing doesn't work well with our laptops - having to select the actual device. Will have to see how the HP Instant Ink program works out. Plus haven't been able to set up printing from smartphone yet - either direct or WiFi
Pinks and purples are way off on both brands vs. The screen. Or it could just be in the video being colors show up differently on screen vs. Printed which sort of mKes color comparing for others to view and choose is a pointless
A my opinion of this not out of the same printer then the experiment is void and just by looking at the picture without even going through the video I can tell you that the ink on the left which I think you said it's hippo you could tell that it holds true or two-color than it does on the color wheel on the other side so you don't even need to elaborate on 15 minutes since you didn't use the same printer

I bought printer jack ink and my black is running low... is it okay to fill it with hippo's ink and mix match them?

Just watched it's not the same formulation when it comes to the ink... Might get a bit messy..

Nope! The ink will mix a little if not completely empty but it hasn’t been an issue for me!

It’ll depend on the images. I’ve printed about 100 pages and my ink level has gone down maybe an eighth.

I am using the default settings- I did not set up any special color profiles.

Sublimation needs polyester to fuse to! Cotton will result in the ink washing out :)

You can convert a workforce with refillable cartridges but it’s not as simple as using an ecotank!

technically no. But your inks will mix and you won’t have one true brand or the other.
