  • In this week of the new "ROXY", and we bring in "Kid" Jensen's protege, Pat Sharp. I prefer this bloke to Paul Nolan, but we have him as well.
This series used a weekly chart distributed by Satellite Media Services, produced by Capital Radio and compiled by the Media Research Information Bureau (MRIB). You could hear "Kid" count them down every Sunday afternoon from 5pm, in competition with BBC Radio 1's own chart show.
    Studio Performances:
Jermaine Stewart - "Say It Again" [#34]
Two Men a Drum Machine and a Trumpet - "Tired Of Getting Pushed Around" (features video clips) [#21]
The Christians - "Ideal World" [#13]
    Tiffany - "I Think We’re Alone Now" [new #1]
Terence Trent D'Arby - "Sign Your Name" [#2]
    Videos:
Billy Idol - "Hot In the City" [#18]
Elton John - "Candle In The Wind" [#22]
    CHART RUNDOWN (all used mute):
INXS - "New Sensation", Pet Shop Boys - "Always On My Mind", Billy Idol - "Hot In The City", Bananarama - "I Can't Help It", Wet Wet Wet - "Angel Eyes", George Michael - "Father Figure", Cher - "I Found Someone", Christians - "Ideal World", AC/DC - "Heat Seeker", Dollar - "Oh L'Amour", The Stranglers - "All Day & All Of The Night", Climie Fisher - "Rise To The Occasion", Beatmasters - "Rok Da House", Bros - "When Will I Be Famous", Morris Minor & The Majors - "Stutter Rap", Joyce Sims - "Come Into My Life", Krush - "House Arrest", Belinda Carlisle - "Heaven Is A Place On Earth", Terence Trent D'Arby - "Sign Your Name", Tiffany - "I Think We're Alone Now"
    Notes:
    * "Kid" Jensen doing voiceover, introducing Bros.
    * The mix of "Hot in the City" is the Exterminator Mix, which would become the basis of the theme song to the TV series "Booker" a few years later.
    * Saturday rebroadcast. Seriously, I think everyone is watching Saturday instead of Tuesday.
