P42’s to the rescue! Amtrak Keystone Corridor action during massive power outages!

- Due to severe storms on the night of January 9th 2024, the overhead power lines on Amtraks Keystone Corridor were not functioning. Amtrak cancelled most Keystone services for the day between Philadelphia and Harrisburg, however select Keystones were chosen to operate with P42 diesel locomotives pulling them. This video includes 2 Keystones being pulled by P42’s, 2 Pennsylvanian Service trains, and a Keystone train after the power had been restored. Thankyou and enjoy!

Yes so the power was out that morning, so the diesels were pulling the Electric locomotives with their pantographs down
