... i'd let this dude do my work from now on, yo; very professionally done, gives viewer just what information they need, no excess; he seems to exude credibility. great work bro, hope this gig takes you where you want to go, i'm a fan!
Great video !!! I would only add to make sure the old oil filter gasket came off with the old oil filter. Also check the metal mating point for the new oil filter gasket to make sure it's clean and has no old pieces of the old rubber gasket or any other debris on it. That would be disastrous. It does happen. Thanks for your video.
I own an ES330 like the one in this video. You should have drained the oil pan first, then reinstalled the oil pan drain bolt. THEN, you should have moved the oil catch drain pan over a few inches on the ground and, from above, removed the oil filter. These cars have an elegant engineered design that when you remove the oil filter, there is a drain "guide" that guides the old oil coming out of the filter precisely underneath at a certain spot where a catch pan will catch all the old oil in a nice neat manner. When you realize this, it is a great design!
My mom has one of these cars, just wanted to see if an oil change was something I could do for her. From what you’ve shown me it should not be that difficult. God bless
Thankyou for posting I would like to see how you put the oil in the new filter This will be my first time to ever change oil in any vehicle I want to see if I can do it I will definitely have somebody with me to check my work
You need to 're-set' the maintenance light by turning the ignition key to 'assessories' and then holding town the tachometer button for a few seconds until you see it go' - - - --- -- -- ' and it resets (turning off the maintenance light.)
Hey this video seems really helpful i am 16 and drive a 2004 lexus es330 theres a lil leak in my and im trying to find ways to fix it could you give me any advice?
I haven't to looked through the comments so my apologies if this question was already asked. How do you feel about putting an oil stabilizer in there? I usually like to put them in but idk how it would be like on a fresh changed oil.
lol thats your complaint? More like the mess the oil filter makes is a bitch. I dont mind the wait for putting the oil in, but holy crap the oil in the filter makes a mess
hi thanks for video. have the same car as seen. it has been getting serviced with a synthetic blend. there are no leaks at all. your thoughts on using a full synthetic type? any specific reason you went with castrol?
No ma'am, it's not that smart. I have a video for that. Please go to my channel and click the search button next to the ABOUT link and search SERVICE RESET. I made a video for that.

Thanks for the kind words.
Thank you for this video. I've never changed oil on a car before, but this video really helped me out.

I recommended cleaning off the block. I guess I could have spent another 30 seconds making that clear.

deekay2 Cool, Thanks for sharing.
I will have to look for this. It just seems like hell no matter what I do for mine
I didn't know this, but will look for it next time I do my ES330
No way bro!! I feel like an executive when I drive it but reading about that oil “guide” lowkey gave me goosebumps 😮
I believe in them 100%. Thanks for watching.
Good, thanks for watching.
You are welcome. Glad it helped.

Thank you
Dude, thank you so much for posting this video!!
Thank you Robert I got to see the part number for the oil filter, Walmart now sells Toyota filters
Wow! That's nice.
Useful video. Thanks for taking the time to film and post it.
+le th you are welcome
I keep coming back to this video when I have to change the oil. Thanks :)
Sweet! Thanks for watching.
Thankyou for posting I would like to see how you put the oil in the new filter This will be my first time to ever change oil in any vehicle I want to see if I can do it I will definitely have somebody with me to check my work
Pretty easy.
You did a good job, thank you for showing me where the filter was!
Thank you for watching.
good to see an OEM filter been used
For 2003-2006 Lexus ES330 what are some of the common problem and repair items? Thanks!
I'm not a Lexus guy. You should check out the Lexus forum.
Valve cover bolts will loosen causes oil leak, easy to fix.
Nice video. Only thing I'd add is how to reset the light.
Dave Parker ua-cam.com/video/TLI3aWOnLkc/v-deo.html
Thanks for the tutorial!
You bet!
Very good instruction....will help me change sons Lexus' oil... thank you sir, well done.
You are welcome
Should the maintenance light automatically clear on its own?
You need to 're-set' the maintenance light by turning the ignition key to 'assessories' and then holding town the tachometer button for a few seconds until you see it go' - - - --- -- -- ' and it resets (turning off the maintenance light.)

Where is the leak?
@@RobertDIY we're not too sure we lifted up the car to check it out and its getting everywhere
Ouch! You'll have to wash it down and look close.
@@RobertDIY okay! Ill send you what we find out thank you for replying
the filter comes off from the bottom you need to take the right half of the plastic panel loose except leave one plastic tab for it to pivot on
+Ken Hamilton thanks for sharing.

Why would you need to stabilize fresh oil out of the bottle?
Thanks for sharing this video
My pleasure
I love there was a photo of nothing while he talked about installing an oil filter
Thanks for watching.
I really hate the oil fill hole on these cars since I can't place a proper oil funnel only a skinny transmission oil funnel like you have there.
Thanks for watching.
lol thats your complaint? More like the mess the oil filter makes is a bitch. I dont mind the wait for putting the oil in, but holy crap the oil in the filter makes a mess
I wish you would've shown every step like putting the oil on the oil filter, otherwise, it was helpful.
Tyler Smith Thanks for watching. The oil filter loads from the side of the motor so you really can't do much with these cars on priming the filter.
Good video. It was hard to see how you change out the oil filter from the top. Any suggestions? I'm a visual learner.
I just reached down from the top. You can see the filter if you look between the heat shield and radiator.
Robert DIY I'm going to go ahead and guess that you would only want to do that on a car that had cooled down first
Yea, that takes the whole, warm the car up first recommendation from oil change experts.
does it matter what kind of oil synthetic or non
Synthetic is usually better but not necessary on non-turbo (NA) cars.
you can remove that filter from above but you cannot get back on tried many times
interesting
TY, very helpful
You're welcome!
Appreciate the time
You are welcome
appreciate your value.
Thanks for watching
I use t4 rotella in my lexus
cool
nice vid bruh
if you leave this car up on the ramps overnight, the next am the oil filter is dry when you take it off
+Paul Hartmann really?

ua-cam.com/video/gwvTHhOciU8/v-deo.html
why semi-synthetic oil vs full synthetic.
It was NOT my car. I only use full synthetic, my friend wanted semi-synthetic over dyno.
Ok.
I Want to follow you
ok
