Haha! You know this guy drives truck. He said good time to do a "pre-trip inspection". Yessir. Good job on filming a really good, straightforward, instructional video, friend. Keep them big wheels a-rollin' & stay away from them there lot reptiles 🦎 😅
Great video instructions. I’m gonna change my oil myself on my 2006 Lexus ES330. My question is Can I switch to Full Synthetic oil this time? My car has been using conventional oil for its 235k mile life.
Yes, you can. No need to use high mileage oil regardless of the odometer reading. If your engine shows no signs of oil consumption or no signs of excessive wear then you don't need it.
@@stevenw2866 so far I've done tires, brakes, and rotors all around. Valve cover gaskets, spark plugs. Last but not. Least Timing belt, and water pump. Drain and filled transmission pan. Also drain and filled power steering. Now it's my daily driver, work commuter. Very smooth

Here are some tips
U can buy the oil filters at Walmart here where I live there $8.50
You can use brake clean after screwing new filter on.
Good job 👍
Thanks so much that was super handy. I've had help doing this before but might try it on my own now. Cheers!
Can I use 5w-30 DEX1~3 GM oil for ES330?

You can definitely switch. I'd go to a premium full synthetic high mileage. I do my oil changes between 3000 - 5000 miles
@David Anthony Thank you for your advice. I will try that oil for my upcoming oil change.

@@njsongwriter Thanks so much for answer my question. Do you think 1 quart per 5000 mile is the sign of abnormal oil consumption?
@Toan Phan definitely sounds like you should use some high mileage oil. My lexus es330 doesn't burn any oil in 5k miles.
great video dude.
Star treck next generation in backround nice
Why would you remove the shield cover if you can access the oil filter from the top ?
Honestly my arms & hands are too big. This is easier for me. I go from top side on my Toyota corolla.
Great video. Thank you
What brand of oil did you use. Thanks
Sorry didn’t notice at the beginning
I use Super Tech.
Great Video!!! Thank you.

How much of its life have you installed synthetic oil?
3 changes so far. Bought car with 55k miles in may 2021
We have a 2004 with 217k and a 2005 with 101k. ES330 is a great vehicle

@@goldentrucker7921 Got my ES330 in 2019.. Also done 3 oil changes, plus spark plugs, battery, and transmission fluid. 173K miles at the moment
Golden Trucker. What tires did you go with?
any maintenance on AC system?
Haven't had any to do on this 1.
These dipsticks are so hard to read lol
