The original D&D adventures would include house blueprints that described where the owner's money was hidden and how much was there. It was assumed the players were going to rob houses. Thief was the actual class back then, not just a subclass.

I'd love to see a Gen X campaign. Making ramps in the middle of the street. Shooting each other with BB guns, no more than 4 pumps( For safety reasons). Riding bikes everywhere, as long as you were home before the street lights came on. Padding yourself with pillows to lessen the blows from sword fighting with sticks. Waking up early on Saturday mornings to watch cartoons, cause 24/7 cartoon channels didn't exist. Could barely drag your butt out of bed during the week for school, but Saturday's you're up at the butt crack of dawn.
And now? Gen X has just spent the last two decades watching the affordable property market dissappear.
I was with you on everything up until the waking up early on Saturdays! Weekends were for finally getting to sleep in!
Yawp. But as much as I love Mann Shorts, I'm not holding my breath. After all, we're the most consistently overlooked/forgotten of all the currently living generations. Latch-key kids been on our own so long that we don't even care anymore. Whatever. ;-p

4.At this age majority of your kids are in college or have already graduated, chances are they want to be on their own so empty nest syndrome.
5. It isn't easy to change careers at this point, so if you hate your job what are you going to switch to? Who is going to hire a 50 year old?
My husband and I are 35 and 38 respectively, and we feel called out.

Welcome to the realization that a lot of Gen X made 20 years ago. Now our retirements disappeared twice and we are wondering how long we can survive on cat food because it is cheaper. At least I have childhood memories of what winter used to look like. I guess that's something.
Good news is even with the most dire predictions snow in the winter will still be a thing even for us millennials' entire lives, so there's that. Gen Z gonna be in their 80's talkin bout how "they" used to walk uphill both ways in the snow, meanwhile the kids will be like "whatever zoomer, everyone knows snow is a myth," and the saddest part is we wont be around to see the looks on their faces.
Ya.... i hate winter but at this point i miss the snow.
@@aceundead4750 our Northeast Ohio Winters have already changed. Instead of large snow events that stay around for about a week and then the rain washes the snow away and it happens again in a couple more weeks. This is playing Havoc with plant growth cycles and farmers are having to adjust, eventually they are going to have to switch to more tolerant crops. Bye bye corn, too bad your growth depends so heavily on a heavy snowpack that melts in the beginning of the spring.

My generation would thank anyone if they even acknowledged our existence for 5 minutes. Generation X was screaming about the issues that we are facing now but since there weren't enough of us and the previous generation owned all of the news channels we had no voice.

@@kevinkorenke3569 oh yes, I remeber the PMRC. Hook in Mouth by Megadeth was one of my favorites. Another favorite was when one of my music idols walked into Congress wearing denim and leather and put the biggest bully in the world on its arse. It was awesome.
