Thanks Aoife, what a lovely and heartfelt review. Around 20 years after i played BG1/2 i can not believe this is really happening. I actually forced myself to not play a single minute of the EA version (and that was quite challenging) because i wanted to go completely blind into this experience.
Same. This is the kind of game I like to play when it's complete. Imagine being oh so immersed and then all of the sudden - ok now wait x years until the full story is revealed... That would be a cliffhanger, to say the least! xD I'm happy they succeeded.
@@thevillageyid not played it but I loved baldurs gate 2 and had no idea about d&d. I reckon this will be even more friendly. BG2 didn't really explain much, like it kinda just rolled in the background and as long as you understand 1d6 is one roll up to 6 ( 1x six sided dice) and 2d4 is 2 multiples of rolling 4 (2x 4 sided dice - so max of 8) it all makes sense when picking spells and equipment.

I'm looking forward to seeing what the multiplayer feedback is. This looks like a fun way to get my friends into DnD without the burden of forcing the role of DM on anyone.
Multiplayer is well implemented, if somewhat buggy. We often experience black screens when the other player triggers a cutscene. These black screens do go away after a lil while though
Great review. I avoided the early access and other media about this game intentionally as I wanted to experience it when it was done. I just had to check if it was as good as I hoped it would be. Can't wait to dive in this weekend.
Can you buy a lil 1 or 2 TB usb memory bank from best buy? Usually around 30-70 bux, depending on the brand. I bought a 2 TB for my ps4 and transfered it to my ps5.
I disagree. Its an exact copy of every other outlet reviewing this game. Nothing new added to the table. Same script about their being "bugs due to the games size", yet not showing a single one, or even naming one for that matter. Unlike cyberpunk that was riddled with unplayable bugs from the start. This game is near perfectly polished.
I like to only load saves that was made before a battle. I feel that makes the experience more like it was meant to be played. Loading every single fallback breaks the immersion.
rolling saves back in any game is essentially "Time travel poweR" its the same, but having some checkpoints or before battles its ok cause u ahve to do the entire challenge at once without removing a mistake*
Great review!! This game is a dream come true... Never have I EVER experienced a CRPG get so close to the feeling of true table-top Dungeons and Dragons. My only gripes are 1) not being able to change characters when in dialog in the world... It can be frustrating when you go around the corner with your stupid barbarian and enter into an important dialogue. In a "real" D&D situation, your party would come up to you in the dialogue and if a conversation requires persuation, the smooth-talker would jump in to conversation. 2) Inventory management could be streamlined a bit more, maybe including a common bag for all characters, and being able to hide items you put into wares. I mean this is a fantasy RPG, why be "realistic" with inventory management, when it just ends up being a chore for the player? I don't want to end on a negative note, so these minor flaws are just nuisances that hopefully they will change. Even if they don't this game is GOTY for certain!
I rolled with 2 fighters, 1 barbarian, 1 cleric in my party. If you get the right gear, youll find that most of the act 1 and 2 bosses become trivial (some boss enemies dont even make it past 2 turns).

Long gone are the days when reviews talk about Graphics score, Sound score, Story Rating, Gameplay score and overall score and not just sound like a long commercial setting the subscribers up to watch future videos for more views on the channel. Yes Yes I know you need add revenue but for gods sake. I don't even get the fcking luxury to unsubscribe since I wasn't subscribed in the first place. Off to IGN I guess.
Lol IGN. Reviews on this channel & the site are by no means adverts, so much so that fanboys keep going ballistic about them.

same engine 70% deconstructed and changed for the dnd 5e/one ruleset ^^
This shit don't look like no Baldur's Gate.:S RIP BG 1998-2001.
OMG you said D&D 100 times in less than 2 minutes, just focus on BD3 please, nobody cares if the rules are base on F*** D&D or P&P, FOCUS on the game you´re TRYING to review BG3 ! TY !
