    Such a shame to see clients like this I see them everyday at work you can see the tech who does nails like this is not ready to be taking money yet it’s so wrong that they take money and produce work that’s not up to scratch, in the UK there’s so many techs who work from home some trained some not the ones who aren’t qualified cause a huge amount of problems for techs who work a genuine business as we often end up with damaged customers who have no confidence after the way they have been passed from tech to tech, thank you so much for this video Anastasia you are always spot on and always produce amazing work your a amazing nail tech with great skills love the design too it’s so beautiful👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽🥰🥰🥰

    Hi Anastasia 🙋🏻‍♀️ fab video as always ❣️
    I do acrylic overlays on my natural nails, my nail beds mostly all have a natural deep c curve, apart from my index fingers, which are flatter, and those 2 nails always seem to grow curving downwards at the free edge 🙈 so it’s definitely a challenge to get them the same as the others, especially with my non dominant hand! lol.
    I seem to have mastered it now, though it takes a bit more time 😊
    Thankyou so much for all the invaluable advice, and for taking the time to do these very informative videos for us!
    Stay safe, with blessings to you, from the UK 💕💗 xx

      I have the same issue with my index fingers curvin downwards more than the rest! How did you end up fixing yours? I've got mine cut short at the moment with acrylic extentions, but I would like to grow them out again and do overlays

    • @Rebeccamunro1
      @Rebeccamunro1 4 роки тому +3

      Rachel Shearman 🥰 .. I actually do the overlay a good wee bit thicker than the others especially at the free edge, and to be honest I pinch them (even though they are 2 natural nails, it hasn’t done any damage at all!.. Kirsty from naio nails has a wee video on correcting fanned nails with acrylic overlay, you’ll see what I mean) ..after the acrylic is set, I’m able to file the side walls straight, and then I take away from the underside with the e file, to rebalance.. then I get a really nice c curve from underneath too! .. it’s easier and far faster than cutting them short and fitting a form! Which is the only other way of achieving it. I hope that helps you.. give it a try sure, let me know if it works for you 🥰

    • @RachelShearman
      @RachelShearman 4 роки тому +1

    • @Rebeccamunro1
      @Rebeccamunro1 4 роки тому +2

      @Rachael Shearman, you’re so welcome hon.. after pinching, even if you have to take away a bit of your own free edge underneath, it works great for me, and mine really curve down! xx

    I was looking for this because i did my own nails on my non dominant hand but only a base layer on my dominant hand.
    I waited a week before finishing my hand and guess what, my index finger cracked on the stress point exactly like this example! Tomorrow i have to wash my long hair so i need to fix it😂 I hate the feeling of hair stuck in nails! I don’t want to use a form so i hope to find the solution here. I don’t have fiberglass but i do have strong/hard fiber gel, is it ok to use this instead? Or should i use super glue ?

    I love your work!! I have question about gell overlay, I'm able to grow my own nails somewhat long, but I'd like some strength when I need it. Can I just put on gell topcoat for strength? Thank you!!😀

    • @yarelivega6584
      @yarelivega6584 4 роки тому

      I don't know if it's different, but I put a thick layer of base coat so it sticks to my natural nails and just wipe off the sticky layer. You could do a layer of base then top coat!

    • @CoYoTeS897
      @CoYoTeS897 4 роки тому +1

      You can, those are called soft gel manicures. First gently buff then use a base then color and finish with topcoat. Should give you strength in your natural nail but not the same as hard gel nails.

    I'd love to see more acrylic work, I don't know what benefit there is in builder gel, why do you prefer it to polygel or acrylic? I haven't found anything that says why some people use certain mediums.
    I know with acrylic the monomer is very powerful smelling so that's one thing, but what other reasons for gel and polygel?

    • @thatsoserious
      @thatsoserious 4 роки тому +1

      I like polygel/acrygel and hard gel because I have time to sculpt and correct mistakes with out eorrying about the product polymerizing before can fix something.
      And I don't have to worry about the correct portions monomer to acrylic powder to form the perfect bead/ ball.

    • @muffinfluff2476
      @muffinfluff2476 4 роки тому

      @@thatsoserious ah that's a good point.
      It's weird as I find polygel harder to work with than acrylic, and I can't get it to do the things I want.

    • @thatsoserious
      @thatsoserious 4 роки тому +2

      @@muffinfluff2476 I know there are things you really can't do with gel that you can do with acrylic. Polygel is the closest to acrylic.
      I agree that Polygel has a learning curve but that's with any of the nail mediums.
      Hard gel was easy for me to get the hang of than polygel or acrylic. Probably because gel self levels and I can build my apex by just flipping my finger upside.

    • @muffinfluff2476
      @muffinfluff2476 4 роки тому

      @@thatsoserious that sounds pretty good, would you say it's quicker then if you want to just do a quick set because you're busy?

    • @thatsoserious
      @thatsoserious 4 роки тому +2

      @@muffinfluff2476 polygel or hard gel? For me gel is quicker, sculpt out a thin layer on a nail form to get the over all shape and length I need, cure then concentrate on building the the apex by floating the gel in the middle of my nail. Then flip my nail upside down for a few seconds, I check down barrel of the nail, 98% of the time my apex is perfect, and I cure it. Then do my finish filing.
