Satch and Petrucci are monsters. They are brutal guitarists. Steve Morse is just at another level though. Def not putting down the other two but go Morse!!!!
These guys are all incredible, but IMHO, Morse is by far the most versatile and well rounded player on that stage. Bring on Pete Thorn and Rebea Massaad!
While I think Morse was a 3rd wheel aka odd man out, I also think that Petrrucci has been a part of several G3 tours and has more time to build chemistry with Satch. All 3 are super scary. Morse's pick technique is other-worldly. The speed is one thing but he do string crossing with alternate picking that few would dare even try. Most have to use sweeping to do many of his runs.
I enjoy this G3 more than other G3, because they seemed very relaxed, respected each other, not much weird whammy bar effect, no dominated guy and no hyperactive stage performance
These 3 guys are legends but should try harder to set a better example for all the aspiring virtuosos in the audience by singing on the backing vocals as well (the bass player was singing). It's very important in a band context - shredding is awesome but not enough. An amazing guitar player will often get passed up over just a good guitar player that can sing well in most working band situations.
Completely agree. An average guitar player who has great vocals is now...an "incredible guitarist" according to the consuming public...and if you can front your own band...damn, well...John Mayer?
+Nick Pop Question, how often do you hear Steve via or Joe Satriani sing? Uh,,,,, yeah, thats a tough one . Some times you dont need to have vocals unless you know you are going to see a band that normally has vocals and the night you decide to go see them, they turn off the mics. make sence?
STEVE MORSE ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ JOHN PETRUCCI¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ SON LO MAXIMOO¡¡ LO MEJOR ¡¡ MAESTROS ¡¡ COMPLETOS¡¡¡¡¡ Y JUNTOS ¡¡¡¡ OHHH ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ ah si y satriani jajajaj
Dallin Hyde you're fuckin right dude, hahaha. they definitely had their own little game going on and steve morse was (accidentally of course) almost completely left out because these secret little references kept getting thrown over his head. you can visibly see that morse was really confused until they started throwing some of his riffs in the mix, and then he thought "OH I SEE WHAT YOU GUYS ARE DOING"
both Satch and JP were doing their own little tribute to EVH ... Morse of course was a bit out of context right there but found common ground on cream's white room ....
Joe is doing a 2018 concert tour with G3, Phil Collen & John Petrucci. I love Joe and his music but doubt I will go to a G3 concert. Listening to previous G3 get together's, it is just too much "noise". Joe's virtuosity is compromised with the other guitar players blasting away as well. They are all good, just for my ear, it doesn't mix well.
lol. When I hear guitar plays say "EVH is overrated". Why is it when a group of guitarists (even older ones) are covering a Kinks song they always do a Van Halen cover of a Kinks song? HAH HA
Sounds like some youg, short on the life experience side, a little disrespectful has decided to voice thieir oinion. well , just look back 30 years from now and see if you feel the same way. its all good
Why did they do that stupid song??? It's just boring. I'm a huge Morse fan. And Satch. Disappointed to hear them doing such pedestrian material. I'm going to assume they did something more interesting at some point during this show.
I never understand the meaning of the G3-Sessions. It's only trash and a fight between the musiciens. After 10 minutes of hearing, feels like blood flows of my ears. Most terrible of all - Vai & Satriani vs. Fripp.
Steve's solo in White Room is simply sublime !

Thats why Petrucci loves him

arpeggiomeister Morse is fantastic and super tasty. But my favorite has always been john
Love `em all, but Steve Morse always brings his tasty, complex flavor to this recipe of guitar "masterfulness. "
petrucci pulling out joe's summer song at 3:57. Loved it!!!
I enjoy this G3 more than other G3, because they seemed very relaxed, respected each other, not much weird whammy bar effect, no dominated guy and no hyperactive stage performance
Right on....far more musical
I know you are talking about Steve
you know you are there when John Fucking Petrucci covers your
Three legends doing their thing all in good fun but...... somehow enter Edward! Amazing, indelible stamp he's left on rock guitar.
I love Steve Morse's tone!
That Tone is super strong - it has "Muscle". It's in Steve's Hands.
Шедеврально.
Rock, progressive rock and metal all in one....
one of the more focused and attentive g3 jams
Eu te amo John Petrucci!!!!
John Petrucci my lord
Top of 3players is steve morse
Espectacular!!!
Uma brasileira por aqui? hehe
Ironically Keneally belongs up there with those guys on guitar and instead is stuck playing keys and singing.
O Professor Satriani e outros o k ha de melhor SUPER PHANTASTIC!!! ***** Stars!
Son de otro galaxia .impresiontes 3G
Morse is the third wheel over here. Yea, I said it.
Yeah he's definitely the odd one out amongst the 2 humans. But its great that he blessed the earth with his presence
Because the other two are not as good as Morse. I have seen Petrucci lay his guitar down in front of Morse out of respect of how great he is.
Can't go wrong with either of them in your band.
IN THE WHITE ROOM! OH YEAH ✌🏻️
se juntar todos os videos gravados ali da pra fazer um vídeo em milhares de ângulos.
I wonder how many notes that was? I don't think they left too many of them out.
A little goes a long way....
I reall y like Joes fluid lines
Whoever is singing harmony on You Really Got Me shouldn’t
Did Petrucci played at the beggining some part of Mario Bros?
Van Halen forever
petrucci
QUE MASSA!
BR
They really took the feel out of the kinks's song for me, but great to watch them do their thing! Drummer looks bored.... haha Epic finish though
all this fast stuff

I think petrucci and satch were targeting each other!:)

+ShadowLancer128 Comes with experience yung grass hopper

Steve Morse must of been having a bad night. He normally plays extremely better than that.
nice
Morse destruindo no cromatismo do country

I think they are trying to do something nthe younger people may know.
+PIlotrcm They just pick songs that are good for jamming on.
Sounds like some youg, short on the life experience side, a little disrespectful has decided to voice thieir oinion. well , just look back 30 years from now and see if you feel the same way. its all good
If all else fails at least these guys have a bright future as a VH cover band.
I'm surprised Satriani could keep up.
Buncha show-offs, but it's cool!
that's the whole point of the encores
Let me guess...Satriani is gonna play the same OLD blues shit he always does!
