Third year AUT student here, your day in life is very inspiring and giving me heaps of motivation, I hope someday I can experience the same thing, glad I found you channel!
Very nice video. As a Computer Science student, I get inspired by you and it feels so great to learn new things from you. Keep making such vlogs, lots of love!
Coming back here to close the circle. Two years ago you commented on my UA-cam video about my path to software engineering and its awesome that I found your channel all these years later! Hope you continue making videos way better than I ever did 😆
Magdeline! So good to see you upload again!! I can’t believe I’m so close to graduating already, I can’t wait to start working next year! I’m excited to see what videos you have lined up for us ☺️
I just watched your video that has 100k+ view and I loved your style and content, it is quite beneficial for me as a freshman IT student, thank you for creating such beautiful videos, keep going on❤😊
Waaaaaaaaah😍🥹 i don’t know why but i feel inspired from watching your videos. It’s been my long dream to take up comsci but i ddin’t push it. I’ve seen comsci and DS vids every year. But this one made me feel inspired. I love how genuine you are in sharing about your tech career without dropping topics about money. You earned my respect and i definitely hope to see more of your vlogs. I’ll check your web some other time in my free days. Thank you so much for such a content. PS: i don’t usually leave comments on any comsci or tech vids. My joy is overflowing and I’m excited to see more in your page. ❤
Such a great new experience to see my dream life in someone's life :D. Currently, I'm also a software engineer like you and work in frontend side also but in Indonesia. Can't wait to get a job as software engineer like you in NZ soon 🙌. Nice video by the way Magdeline
I am just about to take cs this year. I am aiming to be a Software engineering too. Love from India ❤. Question: Which is the best programming language to learn for future?
Amazing video! You mentioned that you did a bit of learning regarding Javascript, Typescript and GraphyQL. Do you have any recommendation on any courses or how to approach learning these languages?
Hi Magdeline, thank you for sharing. I work majorly on frontend side, with little backend experience. I see many jobs in NZ required both frontend and backend skills. Do I suit for these full-stack job?
Hmm if you want to apply for full-stack jobs, I think it's best if you can brush up on your backend skills so you can stand a better chance! Good luck :)
I study computer science here in Brazil and also only see python, c++ and java. Do you have a recommendation where to study front end? I'm having trouble getting an internship because the focus of the university is far from the reality of the market
Hello how are you? Congratulations on the video, I'm from Brazil and I work in Information Security. I would like to know what your day-to-day life is like with the projects there, and how you deal with security controls on the front-end and back-end. Do you have a security team that supports you?
How big is the team? I did my first year of experience in software development and it was a 2 person team. How often do you complete tasks too? its interesting seeing someone doing so well in a similar situation to what I was in
Hello! My team is around 4 - 5 ppl, but the entire Engineering department is around 30 people. In terms of tasks, the features are broken down into sprints and tickets. How long it takes to complete a ticket depends on the ticket itself. Thanks for your nice comment! We're all on this journey together 😄
Hello Mag! Please what are the requirements to get a software engineering Job in NZ as a foreigner? Is there any professional bodies i need to register with to be eligible?
Will do! I'm currently working on the "My CS degree in x minutes" video so stay tuned! You can also recommend some vid ideas here! forms.gle/ZkVJkqd49Fje1WPx9
first sorry for being late to ask this because I am new to your channel. I am about to join CS what things are are needed from me like my class average or something like that....
Hello! I made a video on what you need to know about CS here ua-cam.com/video/YBMf2o2MVDg/v-deo.htmlsi=-W9iPgWbHMVMY1LR I hope you find it helpful! All the best 😊
Hello! The interview process varies between companies, but it generally involves face-to-face interviews (in person or virtual) and technical tests if you're looking for a technical role. Good luck!
@@Niberspace hey, you`re alive. I cant tell tell you how many people want to kick my ass for making wise ass comments. LOL. Back in 1979 I got my first computers like the Timex sinclair and apple IIE and I started writing code in basic and later on in C and C++. I should have kept up with the coding and become a big shot like you, instead of having to work in a circuit board factory all day.
@@Niberspace Well Maggie, I assumed that all "Software Engineers" Have to learn to code to get their degrees. Unless I`m mistaken as usual. Hey we`re communicating here, what the heck.
I really do not understand what is the purpose of these "A day in the life of a..." videos. I mean what's the content creator looking for in such videos? To educate anything at all or just to show flaunt that lifestyle and get likes from kids who call themselves "aspiring engineers"
