  • This is a short highlight reel of one of my track days. This is in level 1, and I got a few good passes. I would greatly recommend trying a track day if you have not already! This Duke 390 is an absolute joy to rip around the track. As they always say, it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than to ride a fast bike slow!

    Love the 390D. A joy to ride fast. Unlike a bigger cc bike, where one is unable to access its potentials.
    For me, it’s scary to ride a fast bike slow than to ride a lesser power bike at a pace you’re comfortable with.

      I totally agree! I’d much more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than to ride a fast bike slow. Besides, this track is relatively small and short, so a small, lightweight bike makes perfect sense.

    Should u try to lean like a sportsbike on a 390 duke?

    • @MotoRevs
      @MotoRevs  Рік тому +2

      Absolutely! Why not? Perhaps don't try to lean quite as much, but about 85% of sportbike lean is totally fine! It's basically an RC390 without the fairings, anyway!

      In this video, I'm running Michelin Pilot Power C2's. They're amazing! Very confidence inspiring - I feel like I can lean my bike extreme angles without feeling nervous or worried. They're great tires, I can't recommend them enough!

    Is that a stock Duke 390? Or you did some mods to it? Thx

    • @MotoRevs
      @MotoRevs  Рік тому +3

      No, it's not stock. I've done quite a few mods to it, mostly cosmetic. The only "performance" mods I've installed or done to the bike are much more aggressive brake pads and a full titanium exhaust.

      Yep! I just powder coated the rear spring for more of a pop in color. Glad I could help!

    What's the track

      This is at MSR Houston, in Angleton, Texas. It’s about a 40 minute drive south from Houston, and it’s Houston’s premier racetrack where most track days are held. It’s a great track, and has a very special place in my heart.

    Nice riding, It seems like you're getting a lot of head shake, does it feel as bad as it looks in the vid?
    I'm getting back into trackdays on an MT 03 at MSRH this year.

    • @MotoRevs
      @MotoRevs  2 роки тому +2

      No, not at all! I must admit, the video is a bit shakier than I hoped for, and I’m not sure why. I love the MT03! Hopefully I can catch you on the track one of these weekends!
