I have a lefty 2012 American Vintage '56 Stratocaster in 2-tone sunburst and your video was the first I've seen of someone documenting how these guitars naturally age. Cool! I like your humor too, subscribed!
@@realjabroni I bought it last year from a collector and he never played it so it came to me like new. I play it a lot, as it's my #1 and the nitro is checking and wearing nicely. No clouding though, do you have any finish sinking?
Awesome, finish is definitely something I really like about this series. The clouding will come after a few years of sweat. Yeah, the finish is sinking, but it’s much more pronounced on the ash body of the ‘52 AV than the alder AV Strats.
I’ve been looking for a 59 for so long and can barely find them anywhere. I wish these were never replaced by the originals. Did you get these on reverb?
Hey Jabroni, as I've written before: This video convinced me to buy me my own black AVRI56! Great guitar with a lot of vintage vibe - I have a lot of guitars and a lot of strats, but this is clearly my favourite! I have to thank you for that! You're a very sympathic guy, I'd definitively want to jam with (if there wasn't this "little ocean" between you and me)! 😊 Stay tuned - I'm looking forward for your next video! 👍👍👍 Greetings again from a new "fan" from Hamburg, Germany!!! Philip :-) PS: What is that "red colour" on the front? Did you try to re-fin it or did you use it as a shield against something red? Just curious!
I know!! They seem to have disappeared pretty suddenly, I suspect they’ll be back soon and will continue to appreciate.. this is a nice model, let me know if you find any!
Love this guy … love my 56 AV more than my custom shop 56 .. sounds and plays like a old 56
Great review. Thanks for this upload.
That guitar's seen some love for sure! Love the skinny strap
Haha, my favorite for a reason! Thanks Pinetop : )

I seem to remember the lefty as the only way you could get the ‘56 AV in sunburst. Congrats on that!
Hunting for one, white at a decent price. American Vintage Fenders are my fave solidbodies.

so a wet sanded and buffed will be more durable?

Yeah man! It’s turned out to be a great one 🏆
Is the 2nd and 4th position hum cancelling?
Is it normal for the bridge pickup to be a bit quieter than the neck when playing clean?
Thanks!
