A guitar of true legend status, 1956 Fender Stratocaster in the most perfect black finish you could possibly find, this is almost more than a guitar. It has been featured in books, promotional materials, and copied to endless numbers throughout the decades, but right now it is at Emerald City Guitars. Today we have Aaron Hiebert in to give you an extended listen on this wonderful guitar through a black panel Fender Deluxe Reverb Amp.

That color scheme cannot be improved on
F' Ya, love that Robin Trower version!
OMG, absolutely incredible. How is it Bonamassa doesn't own it.
@Jeffry Thiele wow, that is expensive as shit. Wish I had the money. He probably did.
He’s thinning his collection. 🤷🏻♂️
He prefers hardtails
Does his dad own the guitar shop that have classics
Playable art the new reissue ones are my favourite they old ones you need the old amp the old lead the old skills I love it but I'm not paying the kinds of money they sell for I wear gutairs out fast as I would want to play it and it would loose the mint condition so I don't do vintage cars or guitars anymore I have 57 reissue and I love it less than a year its worn the neck off knobs are filthy and I have a squire too that I can take around sounds great and it's thief proof Dave Gilmore said he used to chuck 001 in his boot no case and forget about it then his wife would find it when shopping got million bucks for it just because it is known
Incredibly expressive playing, like singing with your fingers 👍
Thank you! That’s an amazing compliment 🙏🙏
Sounds amazing. Looks amazing. What a strat. One of a kind special guitar. Wow
Can someone explain to me what causes the wear marks on the fretboard around the 20th and 21st frets?
Thx in advance!
I also want to know this. I’ve seen it elsewhere on the neck, usually the upper frets and around the 12th region, but never they low or below the bottom fret.
That’s wear from strumming the pick at this location. Quite a few vintage Fenders have that wear.
@@DrChevChelios interesting and makes sense. Ta.
I just love the sound of these CS ‘56 pickups! But sadly you can’t buy them aftermarket. Does anybody know which pickups sound similar to these CS ‘56?
Unbelievable! Awesome! Great demo!
Wonderful guitar and wonderful player!!
Thank you!!!
Beveled edge magnets ... so they were that early?
As Strats go, this is one of the Holy Grails, actually hearing it is a bucket-list moment for me.
My very first guitar was a 1954. Went out the window of my brother's station wagon early one morning in July of 1965.
Sounds like some Lemmo in the mix there Azza!
👍🇦🇺
Nice catch!! Yep, I played off and idea I heard from him the other day. He’s such a great player!
@@aaronhiebert4745 haha

⛈️⛱️🌞☄️🌈🌊🍸🍯🫡AAaron YOU ALWAYS BRING IT ALL YOU ROCK !!! Always a treat 👌🏻👍🏻✌🏻
Thanks Daniel!! Super appreciate it!! 😊
What was that last tune he played ??
Aaron+Strat+Deluxe=MAGIC COMBINATION making us all “TOO ROLLING STONED” !
Haha! Nice!! Thanks!!!
Thank you, Aaron. You played my favorite Robin Trower song too!
Nice!! Such a great song!!
Awesome guitar playing!!!
Thank you!!
🔥 🎸
Excellent playing Aaron. I can't imagine how it is to be invited over to an iconic guitar store and get to play so many fantastic instruments. Thanks to all.
Excellent! What a sound! Well done and keep them coming!
what is the title of the song started at 3:44?
Gravity by John Mayer
Looks like my 2008 Am.st, strat ,Sounds like my 97 Am. Strat I believe they are no differance much ? Yeah Vintage is a bunch of Hype. Its all the same wood and pickups. But believe what you want if it makes you sleep better.
did the person who owned this guitar only play around the 20th fret? strange to have wear marks that far up the neck.
It’s from the guitar pick. Strumming over the neck. SRV did that a lot but you don’t notice as much with rosewood fretboards.
@@aaronhiebert4745 ah i see, i've never seen that before. thanks.
Wow what a strat. Great playing dude 🔥🔥🤟
Thanks man!! 🤘🤘
Paul Cochran! Sick! I did monitors for him at a show. Cool dude. His band is fantastic!
Great playing as usual, Aaron! Sweet guitar! 😎
Thanks John!!!
Great sound, amazing that the pickguard, the knobs are still so white while they are visibly yellowing on a strat from the 90s.
I can't believe they're handling that guitar without a strap 😉
Nice performance....congrsts......👍
Coolest thing I’ve seen on UA-cam in a while!
I was barely eight years old when this guitar was born ... It looks far better than I do!! Is that A Rare Earth song??
Superb playin', superb guitar👍👏
Sounds just like a Strat should sound ;-)
From sweet to soulful, to funky to mean, to just beautiful! Aaron just showed how great of a player he is and how incredible a strat truly can be. After that video do you really need any other instrument .
Is that a fender mex road worn right? I have one.
I’d give anything to be able to buy it.
Dream guitar
Okay, JM
great videos.. only gripe is the close ups need to include the back of neck profile.. always seems to be missing.
Noted!
How can that headstock look so new? Something smells here. Some nice emotional licks are played, but where is the proof of pedigree? And when the finish catches the light, (5:44 & 6:12) you can see runs and drips! C'mon. We are supposed to believe a custom black paint job would be so bad? Sorry, not buyin' it. Give history, not hype.
Yeah because Emerald City isn't one of the best vintage dealers around and are really going to sell a $200K fugazi! 😂 Don't embarrass yourself.
Youz guys might be right, or not. If it is real it's a pity the sell job had so little actual documentation. Those clowns on pawn stars did a better job with third party expert attestations. Not having such attestations is insulting.
Please, don't get your panties in a twisty. Breath, and move on to the next video. Give solutions, not problems.
Was this reposted? I feel like I already saw this one last week or so
Yeah that is the real deal right there...........the other one most Strat players know about is the one owned by Howard Reed who played with Gene Vincent back in the day.
