Dudley Simpson: City of Death Suite (episode rip)
Вставка

- A suite featuring Dudley Simpson's main theme that plays throughout the four part story, taken from the DVD restored episodes. There's some dialogue but it's mostly just background ambient noises that stop this from being completely clean.

This has to be his best score. It's full of flourishes, crescendos, & amazing little solos. Its so iconic & yet he only had a few players. Its a shame the BBC never took to releasing these in Stereo because they were tight wankers even though they had the country in their pocket.
I think them not releasing it has more to do with the fact that they've lost the master tapes. Also I'm pretty sure this was never actually recorded in stereo.
You know, the technology that Peter Jackson invented for Get Back could at last allow us to hear this wonderful score by itself!
God I wish. If any wiped score from the classic series deserves the effort, it's this one.
I love how that car or truck horn at 0:46 is at just the right pitch that it sounds like it's part of the music, which I always thought it was until a few years ago - I believe he saw the footage and worked it in at that moment. God, that man could write music.
City of death has the best dr who score hands down!
It's actually the warning tone of the metro train's doors shutting, but your right it does work in the music
Incredible music. It's a crime no sheet music seems to exist for it!
Tom sounds like William Hartnell when he says Is “no one interested in Ancient History” with the” Hmmm” at the end
I’ll be thinking about this episode when I watch the Paris Olympics this summer
2:23 is probably my favorite part.
'' Bye Bye Dudley''
Duggan
My favourite Dr Who serial
1:56 is always my favorite
IS NO ONE INTERESTED IN HISTORY?! HMM?!
