As a rural player this was really interesting. As I understand it it takes 1-2 stops to get a gym, 6-8 stops for 2 gyms, but 20+ stops for 3 gyms in one cell? That is just crazy. When living in a small town I can usually get 2 gyms in every cell but that is it. Really annoying and unfair to us players living in smaller towns.
Kinda makes sense when you realize Niantic is making a business of getting people to travel to bigger cities.
People who live in big cities definitely have an edge.
Add trail markers. 1/4 mile. 1/2 mile etc with a trail name. There was a team who did this and got 4 pokestops. Any playground sets. Any sports fields. Community Gardens. Park name signs. Etc.

Very nice! I am a rural player in an area with very few stops. In my village there used to be no stops or gyms, but I managed to create 20 stops and 7 gyms and I'm still working to create more! From my experince, you can only have one stop/gym in a S17 cell, and always when there are exactly 2 stops in the same S14 cell, one becomes a gym, and when there are exactly 5 stop and a gym in one S14 cell, one of the stops becomes the second gym in that cell. For 3 gyms in a S14 cell I think you need 14 or so stops, but I'm not 100% sure, since that's pretty hard to do in a rural area :,)
That's awesome! My nominations get spammed rejected because it credits people more to reject stops than approve them :/
So far my fastest time in be declined was 2 day since the submit. The longest to be approved was 30 days.

For me most of my noms are being rejected saying low quality photo, even though it was very clear and eligible. I waited for half an year to get this voting done😑 and this is what they say. Reviewers must get some base knowledge first
since I just turned level 38 a couple of weeks ago I've been submitting everything I can near my house.
Shoutout to the person who helped turning this POI to a gym upon arrival.
Nominations do not simply appear as gyms in game without upvotes (in Ingress) , so you got some help there @pokeak.
About POI clusters , those are location edited (moved closer than what is normally allowed) to form farms.

@Poké AK 2 Years ago it was possible to move a Stop in a shared cell and it would remain a Stop....that's how those cracy Places are possible....but about 2 years ago this 'feature' got removed.
Also, if you do evulate stops and get an upgrade it will only take 2 days to get a new stop/gym.

@@poke_ak I’ve seen tree placards be Pokémon stops. In my city a lot of the trees in the downtown parks have the species name on the placards.

@@sherryowen3176 need to check online and see why you been denied. Sometimes it might already be a nominations but it’s not in the game
So fucking annoying when you put in effort to make a gym gold and then niantic removes it. They should at least give you a pick to make another gym gold if they do that...
