- Late? Yes. Worth it? Hopefully. I rank every Cuphead boss in order of difficulty.
For those of you who are new, Welcome! I hope you like what you see.
Some clarifications:
--My favorite boss is Wally Warbles. I forgot to add that into the script.
--There are a couple of discrepancies in fights due to the recent patch, one of which I made obvious. I didn't fully explore all of the changes before I finished the script, so some stuff is left out.
--I decided last minute that parry sugar is the best option on Cagney's fight, which contradicts the statement I made at 21:33.

Dr Kahls robot took me 3 hours whilst Cala Maria took me less than half an hour like 5 attempts and I even played Dr Kahls Robot with a friend

I thought Captain Brineybeard was one of the easier bosses. I recognized his patterns a lot faster than some of these other bosses that were ranked as easier
Yeah, the tough part about ranking these is that most of them, aside from the first 3 or 4, most people have different challenges. I like Brineybeard was kind of easy and super fun, but apparently not everyone feels that way

Grim Matchstick is underrated, and I thought the root pack was much easier than the bouncing slime. There's more need to dash and position yourself so you don't get crushed, and the telegraphs for where he will land after jumps aren't very clear at first.
I concur with this!
He’s not too tough. The only thing I don’t like Matchstick’s is the damn iClouds! They constantly move and sometimes make you airball your jumps. Third stage is easy: just don’t shoot the fire orbs he shoots, otherwise they’ll split into four flames!
In sally stageplay, To dodge the big wave, You notice that every big wave spawns right after an meteor spawns? You basically keep shooting the meteor until it opens up, And there's a star in there. Wait until the wave comes and then parry the star and avoid the wave with the parry jump boost.
You can also parry and then dash. If your timing is right, you can barely scrape by.

Or you can just go in with smoke dash because it’s incredibly useful for the hardest phase of the fight.

Use twin heart, super 2, spread shot, and charge shot. Use charge on phase 1, and feel free to dish out specials, since you won’t be at risk of not having enough for a super at the end. Switch to spread for the last 3 phases, and simply focus on dodging and shooting. Conserve specials as you want full cards for the final phase. When phase 4 comes, use the super immediately and dish out the most possible damage while doing so. Dying at the final phase is awful, which is why you really wanna make sure you don’t let it happen.

The Frogs were soooooo much easier than the flower in my experience. It took me like 2 tries with the frogs. It took me countless tries with the flower. But everyone has a different experience and it's all opinion anyway.
Why is this so relatable? The flower pissed me off
factual statement. The frogs took a little effort and some memory for the cash register part but otherwise was easy, but the flower had so many goofy ass critters he threw at you it was so brain-draining
This is interesting to hear because the flower I took around 10 minutes to beat, whilst the frogs took me around 30-40 minutes to beat. I struggled with the blue ball more than the flower 😂
id say the flower took me like 20-30 more minutes then the frogs which took like 5 lol. im really bad at alot of things shooting to me at once so thats why the flower is hard for me and djimmi the great and cala maria are both hell.
Cagney Carnation is one of the easiest to S-Rank. Crouch in the bottom left corner and use the chaser or crack shot if you have dlc (I know this comment was probably made before the dlc, but still), this way, the only thing can damage you is his charge attack and his last phase. The time might be a problem, but as long as you do a lot of damage on his last phase, you should make it in time.

Sally Stage-play tip: 3rd phase, it tells you what is attacking you in the top-left.
I'm not kidding on this. I made it to Cala Marie on regular mode and beat her in 2 tries. That shows how big of a gap between regular and expert is.
Same, it wasn’t until I beat the game on expert that I thought she was difficult. I still beat her second try on expert too, but it’s pretty annoying to S rank.

My list:
#20: Goopy Le Grande: He’s predictable and its easy to get your ultimate attack.
#19: Werner Werman: Predictable, easy to dodge. The only part that was’nt super easy to me was the fire part.
#18: Ribbit and Croak: They’re really easy, since the attacks are easy to dodge. The only problem for me was the Hadokens and Wind.
#17: Baroness Von Bon Bon: Really easy for me, and the attacks were just... Decent for me.
#16: Sally Stageplay: Smoke dash completely nullifies the difficulty of Sally. The husband is harder for me, but He’s still easy.
#15: The Devil. The devil is super easy to dodge, the spider thingy attack was kinda difficult for me, but the minions were way too easy.
#14: King Dice’ Servants: Each servants are easy in their own right. But also difficult.
The smoke guy’s teleportation is kinda troublesome, and the Russian is fast. But thats really it.
#13: Captain Brineybeard: The barrel on the top was the main trouble for me. and the Shark was really really unpredictable for me. The laser from the ship is not the hardest, but its atleast something.
#12: Cala Maria: There is a window where you won’t get hit by the Petrification. That is also where you can hit Cala, and thats the reason Cala is’nt higher on my list.
#11: Beppi the Clown: The balloons and the Train failed me 50% of the tome. The weirdo horse was way too easy, but the Carosel and the Penguins were not that bad for me.
#10: Cagney Carnation: Difficult because of the thorn floor for me, just killed me way too often.
#9: Hilda Berg: The constellations were the hard part. The first phase was way too easy, The moon phase was insanely difficult for me.
#8: King Dice: The amount of parries in the fight was way too much. I was able to release 2 ulti attacks.
#7: The Root Pack: I wanted to spare the onion, but the Carrot and the Purple Carrot together was way too hard for me. Gg, NO RE.
#6: Djimmi the Great: Idk why this guy was hard....
#5: Beeface Honneybutt: I thought we had to dodge the honey, but the Airplane was the real trouble for me.
#4: Dr. Kahl’s Robot: The diamond was so hard for me, plus the cogs and the bullets, the heart was difficult for me too, and the spinning head was not actually that difficult. Plus the walls! SO F***ING DIFFICULT! DR. KAHL YOU LITTLE PIECE OF ***T!
#3: Wally: The rockets and the eggs were pretty easy, but the child and the metal was way too difficult for me, I really hate him..
#2: Grim Matchstick: The fire and the tail together was hard.. And the 3 Heads were insane. And the tongue and the fire ALWAYS HIT ME! I hate this fight as well.
#1: The phantom express: Everything about this fight was hard. The heads, The skeleton, the Ghost, and the Train. Oh god, it was so difficult. I HAD 1 HEART AFTER THE GHOST! And I died to the skeleton. I had to use the extra heart to kill the ghost at 2 hearts, and then another heart lost by the skeleton. I TRIED OVER 100 TIMES, and won ONCE!!! The heads were the easiest part, and then the train kills me. I got lucky with this f***ing boss.

I don’t even play Cuphead, but I think I should. I love how they used the old 1920’s cartoon art style and revamped it. And it has such smooth movement. Such a visually pleasing game

I don’t really like them much either, cause nothing you buy in the shop is usable in a plane, so I understand. But I mean, I’m not sure using an airplane is harder than the devil. Y’know. The boss you’ve been working towards.
@@daniellesmith6877 I've never understood how not being able to use those shots in plane fights is an issue, since the two you already have work well against them. And for example, it's not like you can use a roundabout-type shot in plane fights since you can't aim backwards. You don't need any more shots because the plane bosses are only ever on the right side of the screen (they can be on the bottom as well like in Wally's final phase, but you just need to switch to bombs). They don't move around a lot like ground bosses. Also technically you can use things from the shop against plane bosses. Every single charm works in plane fights.

Just finished S ranking every boss. It is so easy now with the "Divine relic" from the DLC as you can smoke dash, parry for more hearts, and use every shot at the same time. This allowed me to S rank Cala Maria in 3 attempts and Wally Warbles first try. The Devil on the other hand took me over 20 attempts and Rumour Honeybottoms over 30 so I think they deserve to be top 5 not bottom 10 💀

But dr khal not so much it’s movement is hard technically anything is everywhere and well it’s just a surprise and it’s hard to go far until you play like 9or 14 tried to make it but it’s fun either way I’m just angry at Cala maria being the hardest for him

You were correct when you said 5 Spread EXes are stronger than a milk blast. In fact, it’s more than twice as strong! A full blast of 8 deals 34.4 damage, meaning 5 full blasts deal 172 damage. On the other hand, the milk blast deals somewhere between 72 and 75 damage.
Pro tip from a noob: If you are stuck on the root pack potato, run into him, and you will be invincible for a few seconds. While you are invincible, proceed to run behind him and use your best weapon.
