Had a test ride a couple of days ago. I was really impressed with the Vintage. Like you mentioned: It's a big bike. But when you ride it it doesn't feel heavy at all. Maneuvering the bike is quite easy. Not just on long straight roads and wide curves, but at tight corners as well. I am 5'6 and I was at first worried it might be a little too large. But I as well sat comfortably on it.
I just bought a 21 Vintage that only had 300 miles on it( it now has 1100 miles on it) and it is super nice ....I am very happy with my purchase. Absolutely no buyers remorse
My stunning 2019 Indian Springfield in gray and burgundy and I say Hi! Beautiful Vintage you have. Like my Springfield, Cruiser Heaven, all day, every day.
very informative & good review thank you ! what i was looking for .. i'm looking at a 2019 vintage in willow/ cream 2 tone, which is gorgeous ! just 3,700 miles.- mint. cond. for $17k .. i am 6' 3" so i was very interested to hear you talk about leg comfort , and i have long arms , any over tiring of your arms from the wide bars on long rides ? thank you sir !
My first bike was the Vulcan Copy of the Indian Vintage, also in cream and Indian red. My favorite looking bike. I almost bought the Indian version last year but couldn't pull the trigger. I saw someone had hard saddle bags painted to match. That bike looked fantastic!
I have two Vintages....Best long distance bike I have ever had...My last Harley was a 2016 Ultra Limited, and it was cramped compared to a Vintage. When doing distance, if you have highway pegs, you can go forever on this bike. You can move around, the seat is comfortable, the windshield provided plenty of fatigue protection....ALL of my Iron Butts are on a Vintage.
The Indian Chief Vintage is a GREAT bike!!! I am going to buy a used one!!! Do you know where I could order a Sidecar (Hannigan Sidecar) for the indian chief vintage? Like is there a website or would the indian dealership do it for me?? I'm new to all of this, I dont know. I would love your help :)
If you like a longer, more relaxed rake, the 2019 is the newest you can get with the 29 degree rake. From 2020, they moved to the shorter, more nimble, 26 degree rake. Subjective opinion which rake is best. The air shock used since 2020 is probably universally accepted as better than the older spring shock. But better by how much probably depends on your weight, the roads you travel, and whether you ride solo or 2up. The air shock is definitely easier to adjust for 2up. I think Willow Green was only offered for one year since the changes. So if you opt for 26 degree rake and air shock, you’ll have fewer opportunities to grab one.
That's Polaris for ya drop the bike they couldn't make it without ruining it's individual personality they took a custom bike and wanted to make a cookie cutter for multiply bikes as to make it cheaper and the individual unique look of Indian is what I loved and Polaris is slowly ruining it

I believe Indian added the ride modes in 2019, my 2019 Springfield has the ride modes and the rear cylinder deactivation.
Thank You. I feel better now. I found one in that red and cream color that I will buy now.
My first vintage was red and cream. That was the best looking bike I have ever owned.
If i was gonna buy a Indian for under 20k...It would be a Chief Vintage....Old School Styling without the Electronic gadgets...
What a beautiful motorcycle. You did well. Thank you for sharing.
It was my pleasure.
Indian style fenders and whitewalls are a good thing.

I’m interested in buying a Willow Green vintage. Do you have a recommendation of what year would be your most favorite?
