I grew up playing Pokemon Stadium 1&2 it was so cool to see the Pokemon in 3d I loved the mini games and gym leader castle and free battles with my brothers and our friends.
Hey hey hey! 17 hours ago?! Alright! I got my Pokémon stadium 1 and 2 from eBay this weekend! Haven’t finished playing silver yet but glad to see I can still find fresh videos on these games!
I would greatly appreciate all your opinions and retrospectives and any new content you have pertaining to Pokémon gen 1- gen 3 game boy games and Nintendo 64. I am taking insanely slow brother. I just traded my shiny gyradose to my red for a shiny ditto to egg breed shinnies but I’m also experimenting and slow grinding my mons because I caught pokerus and I’m doing all that crazy jazz like depositing Pokémon into box before midnight everyday. Still have not touched my stadium one or two and I gotta be honest…. In red I got up to the elite four avoiding as many battles as I could and I did not beat even try to to beat them because I have such a under leveled team in red 😂😂😂 your the man though! ✌️
The devs of this game were trolling players into oblivion when they gave fully evolved Pokemon shitty ahh movesets while giving decent movesets to unevolved Pokemon.
Nah, that was an attempt at balancing so using all kinds of Pokémon would be somewhat viable. It wasn't enough, but the intent is clear and not for trolling.
Stadium 1 & 2 are still in my top 5 pokemon games. I can still remember getting them for my birthday and playing the mini games with my brothers and cousins. Such a shame we never got another stadium game, gen 3 wouldve been great in a pokemon stadium game.
Battle revolution is sort of a follow up, and I almost prefer to it over Stadium 1 and 2, despite loving those games. The music slaps, they have the anime announcer, the physical-special split, all the new evolutions of older Pokémon and 2 more generations of Pokémon compared to PS2.
@@el_dank_sinatra yeah I can appreciate battle revolution for actually being better in terms of battling, I just wish they had all the other content that made the stadium games so fun.
@@dannysha6458I’ve never played battle revolution, mainly just stadium on its native hardware and a bit of stadium 2 on the switch virtual console. What’s the difference?
@@jacobhate it’s on the Wii, and it has all Pokémon until Gen 4 (Diamond Pearl and Platinum). It’s essentially just the gen 4 version of stadium. It also has the anime narrator as the announcer instead of the stadium announcer. I personally think it’s a great game but in terms of battling it’s quite different from the stadium games. The animations and graphics look great tho, even to this day in my opinion.
Thanks to Factor 5, of Star Wars Rogue Squadron fame, were they able to compress all of the Pokémon and narrator audio into the cartridge without the need of the N64DD. It's my favorite trivia about my 2 favorite n64 games.
I beat stadium 1 with rental pokemon with only one strategy, thunder wave and Luck. When someone asks me how I got so stressed I say that I played Pokemon Stadium only with rented Pokemon.
I'm curious if nowadays I would be able to beat the challenge with the knowledge of the broken mechanics, but I have the feeling it will not be easy at all. Greetings!
Pokémon Stadium Zero wasn't really out everywhere, so they decided to add mini games, Pokémon Bank of its time and All Pokémon to Pokémon Stadium 1 to make it sellable.
New video, it brought back old memories. I remember really liking the minigames. And now that I think about it I remember having a hard time withs battles because I was only able to use the rented pokemon.
I'm planning on making a Perfect Dark Iceberg on The EisenBerg Experience channel, so please take a look there, and also on this channel I have a GoldenEye iceberg I'm sure you'll enjoy. Greetings!
If you thought the Fisherman-trainer was hard in round 1, in round 2 he is (with rentals) practically impossible to defeat. Werster (A Pokemon-speedrunner) have the WR for a completion of the full-game for both Pokemon Stadium 1 and 2, and he usually releases a FAQ for his speedruns. In the FAQ he mentions that even if he is ahead by 2 hours towards his world-record he is still not confident enough to gain time, as the fights are THAT hard. He has said in his FAQ that in speed-running difficulties he would say that Stadium 2 starts at a 3 and then climbs to a 7 in difficulty while he believes Stadium 1 starts at 1 but by Pika-cup its at 15. He has said that for being able to win, the Fisherman in round 2 needs to have a SPECIFIC team which I believe consists of Kangashkan, Dragonair and Machamp and even then its like a 6% chance of him winning.
That's impressive, especially coming from a speedrunner like Werster. No wonder why casual players complain so much about those specific battles. As he said and shown on the video, winning that battle is almost pure luck. Thank you for that info! Greetings!
To this day, I regret selling my N64 gane collection. Though I still have my extra copy of pokemon stadium left. (I bought 2 years back) I still herald this pokemon battle game as peak! It had the best animation, the pokemon appearing, attacking, and fainting. The Moves Special effects even had charm. The announcer got annoying after a while but in the beginning hearing him was a game changer! I would love to see a pokemon battle style only game like this again before I leave this world
I grew up playing this games stadium 1 y 2 my very first pokemon battles where in Pokemon stadium in 3d before I even knew about red and blue, we didn't had a transferpak back then. I remember that I used to ask my self the perpose of the GB tower, when I found out I used my yellow copy and almost ended stadium 1 but my sister ruined the cartridge because she let the N64 on for like 12 hours,......so i almost finished it and stadium 2 i finished both rounds it was a headache but stadium 1 is harder
Wait, isn’t it not true that stadium rentals have no EVs? I thought the developers used EVs to alter the balance and make otherwise non-viable Pokémon somewhat usable. Rentals has its own meta and is definitely not less than when compared to using the expansion pack.
I filled the Victory Palace with all rental Pokemon and to do it beat all cups multiple times. Thunderwave is the most handy move in the game. The toughest wall for me is Lass' Tentacruel. That op Dragonair is easy. Just Thunderwave it and have something in your party with Ice Beam or Blizzard. Once it's paralysed it's easy. Even beat it with Seismic Tosses and other random stuff. Long as you Thunderwave it, you got no issue.
weird fixating on the fisher round 1 using a transfer pak, if the gyrados had surf ice beam thunderbolt it wouldn't need any flinches. the round 2 level 20 alakazam is the real hardest part especially without a transfer pak.
I have a GoldenEye iceberg on this channel, and I'm planning to make a Perfect Dark one on The EisenBerg Experience channel, so I recommend subscribing. Greetings!
The people that use the Stadium games (and Battle Revolution) to say Gamefreak doesn't care anymore are just ignorant because GF didn't even make those games lol
You probably wouldn’t want the level/duration of animations in Stadium in a mainline game, at least outside of major battles, due to how much it would slow things down.
@@pokepress exactly. They look cool but a lot of them would really slow down a playthrough. Also even some of those could be improved. But the next goalpost would probably be that the games are too big when they do add new animations for all the Pokemon and all of a sudden the full game is 30GB lol

It was a scam to get you to buy the gameboy games to use your own pokemon. 😂
