I really appreciate that Radiohead created their own signature sound like nobody else and cranked out hits. I love this song!
"i wonder if theres gonna be any drums or guitar or anything"
five seconds later:
This entire album is a masterpiece. In a way, it needs to be listened to as a whole because it has a story to tell. Every song on this album is incredibly impactful. Some are unimaginably beautiful, and some drag you down into the depths. There is a galactic sound that persists throughout the entire album that is just perfection.
I love concept albums. Marty Stuarts "The Pilgrim" is a fantastic story.....if you are into his kind of country bluegrass music.
The last truly great Rock album. Book-ended everything that had went before it and to be a little bit too honest invalidated all of it. Radiohead felt that this type of excellence wasn't challenging enough, there was no need to do part 2. I always wanted a part 2, this album is so good it was positively cruel what followed for two full albums, I'm delighted of course that they did it. Apart from a few tunes here and there it wasn't really until In Rainbows that I felt they were a Rock band again, not that I particularly wanted them to be that either.
couldnt have said it better myself
Radiohead recorded pure art when they captured 'Paranoid Android'. Glad you enjoyed it Nathan :)
One of the two most technically perfect bands of all time: Radiohead and Tool. Absolute masters of song and sound.
100% agree
Johnny Greenwood showing he's one of the greatest, forward thinking guitarists in rock history.
This was my EXACT reaction the first time I heard Paranoid Android 😄
Radiohead are the GOAT though
The mad noise of a mad world consending into a pure cacophony, punctuated with carm exhaustion, the essence of radio head, pure therapy. 👌
Watching you tryna grove between 4 4, 3 3, 3 5, 4 6 beats was awesome. This and glycerine by bush have always been my 2 favourite songs and living vicariously through you hearing for the first time was sick af
You almost always have to listen to Radiohead songs multiple times, then songs you were not crazy about become your favorites.
Phenomenal band, so much so I named my son after Thom Yorke ❤️
You know how the pregnancy books tell u to bring soothing music to the labor room?? My first born was literally born to ok computer lol..
I've always wanted a Yorkie so I can name him Thom Yorkie
@Kimber Voss my bambina too! Karma police, no surprises, paranoid Android are her favs! The Prodigy, too, but not so calming 😂
@@suejonmeyers8362 lol
I like how he listens with an open mind ready to be moved. Mad respect for that. Radiohead is real deep music.
Had to come from TikTok for the first time to watch you finish this song! 🙌
it's cool you heard the rage against the machine element; both tom morello from RATM and (one of the three) guitarists in radiohead use a guitar pedal called a "digitech whammy". it's like a pedal that you push forward and it puts the pitch up as much as two octaves, but it sounds all wobbly and glitchy because it's really primitive, 90s, real time digital pitch shifting. a very cool sound
I just saw Thom Yorke with Johnny Greenwood in Brooklyn in November. Their new group is called The SMILE . It’s definitely 🔥 you should definitely check it out…
I’ve heard the album back to back at least 5 times it’s so so so GOOD, paranoid android is definitely my favorite song let alone the breakdown near the end and how his voice synchronized with the guitars and back vocals
This is the GenX Bohemian Rhapsody. It’s fucking brilliant!
Lol true
Radiohead is heavily influenced by Queen too!
@@richardmaggio1979 kinda everyone with salt of GenX was dude 😉. Altho some of us find Queen kinda overrated. But I give them the respect with what they accomplished
@@caralayne503 To deny that Freddie Mercury has the greatest voice in rock n’ roll would be to not know Queen. Brian May built his guitar from scratch out of furniture parts. They more or less created anthem / arena rock and held strong influence for over 2 decades. Not overrated, but their influence can be heard far and wide.
@@richardmaggio1979 sweetie, im from that time, I remember everything. Again, ill give respect, especially to Freddie. I named my only son Layne…. Ring a bell? I groupied with Nirvana, Alice & Soundgarden in early 90’s for months. I prefer the vocals of Layne Staley & Chris Cornell to Freddie
This song is a masterpiece and so is it’s music video
Fun fact: the actual Paranoid Android is a robot sidekick from the Douglas Adams' book The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. His name is Marvin, a manic depressive sentient machine that aids the team in piloting the Heart of Gold spaceship!
Mars Volta - L'Via L'Viaquez
The guest guitar player on this awesome song is from the Red Hot Chili peppers... it's killer!
Your brother was right!
👍👍😁
I'm new here and dude i love your reactions :) so heartfelt and honest! keep that up!
This is what Radiohead is all about, most people think they are "creep"
That was very enjoyable. Brilliant reaction.
Still my favorite song & band!
Johnny is a magician with what he can do
try my iron lung from radiohead please
This song was used as the ending theme song for the anime series “Ergo Proxy”
YES MATE! fuckin love this tune!!!
Dude, this was my ring tone for like 12 years, never gets old.
I couldn't answer the phone with this song as a ringtone. It would feel wrong to stop listening this masterpiece. Whoever calls can wait 😆
@@haroldmendoza5834 I definitely missed more than a few calls for that very reason over the years 😅
❤ love this.
I LOVE IT!!!!
This song represents my 30 moods throughout the day 😂
Lol
Its about a person that breaks. Kills a lot of people. The panic the vomit. God loves his children.
My Mrs has banned this track in our house as it makes her want to jump off things.
What does she like? Cliff Richard? Maybe some Christian rock?
@@coffeejabberwocky not really. She’s more of an Aretha Franklin, Al Green kind of person. Plus she’s an avowed atheist humanist so the Xian rock is off the table
@@impossiblenamechoice I was joking, but il have to give her Al Green n Aretha. Legends! 😎
LOL!!
Play Just....she'll lie down
I couldn't click on it fast enough. Songs been amazing since it's release
The band had 3 songs that were too short to stand on their own. They put them together and came up with this masterpiece. They thought it would not hit as hard, so they placed it very low on the album lineup. Needless to say, the rest is history.
The music video crazy
pink flyod ---Radiohead--muse-- now everything is hit.
An epic song
LETS GOOOO
Listen to Motörhead - overkill 🤟🤟🤟
You’ve never heard drumming like it
Just came from TikTok, had to see how you liked the rest 🤘🏻
Heyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!! Listen to THE ANGLES , face the day ..
Absolute banger promise!!!!!
See that song live on Magic mushrooms and you will have a forever lasting appreciation for it. Best album of the 90s and still my all time favourite live show.
Another great song with a true story behind it is “the way - fastball”. Sad but true story
The boomers had Pink Floyd, Rush, Led zeppelin and so on. The X'ers had REM, Nirvana, Radiohead and so on... Pass the light!
This is one of my "desert island" songs.
