Thom Yorke's sense of timing is unreal. The reason he's *SO* on point rhythmically through such complex layers is his entire body and head and soul is in almost constant motion in the pocket of the groove. He's *REALLY* free in terms of his emotions. He loses himself in the moment which is the key to being so mesmerizing.
I got excited to see its posted 4 hrs ago :) this is definitely best version of the show live , best one of all and this may be one of the best performance of song live in general as well 👏
They seem like they would be one of those bands that would be much better in the studio until you hear them live and they are even better than in the studio.
I like how 99% of bands would need 100 takes and 1,000 edits to put together a song this complex in studio, and Radiohead plays an even better version live in one take lol. Beyond brilliant.
As much as I absolutely love their perfect albums, I almost always seek out their live versions (was also lucky to see them live once). There’s another Jools Holland appearance 8-9 years after this one where they played for me the absolute best version of “Bodysnatchers”. It was mic- and jaw-dropping imho: ua-cam.com/video/yWAlhxCoGrk/v-deo.html
I was 14 when this song came out... seeing a young lad enjoying despite being born way after reminds me of how I felt when I discovered 1970's music... great shot here... respect to our young brother who listens to all the crap that made our teenage years crazy
I’ll say this….. Jonny Greenwood is one very underrated guitarist. He shines on this sing. But man…. This song is easily one of their best.. also been a Radiohead fan for 11 years…. I was born before In Rainbows was out in 2007. Been loving them since 2013 when I first checked out this song and OK Computer….
Thanks! Right now I'm spending my nights putting down practice laps on the sim for my races on Saturday nights. I have to make time for new music at least once a week though. :D
Trade secret : if you wanna see the best footage of them that exists live, check out their SNL appearance for Kid A, they perform Idioteque and National Anthem. It’s astonishing footage.
This is one of my top 5 songs of ALL TIME!!!! Weezer does a live cover. And there is a dude who uses only his voice for the whole song. Amazing!!! All of it. BTW... I think Kid A Sucks. BUT, OK Computer.... TOTAL MASTERPIECE!!
It's probably the best live version of any song ever recorded to be fair ;-) The BBC production - not to mention the musical talent - is just phenomenal
The acoustic guitar on this is really difficult and all that whilst singing angelically. Genius.
johnny greenwood don't sleep. don't matter if he is playing the keyboard parts or shredding a solo, that man is ACTIVE constantly.
jonny*
LOL yeah he could sleep if he tried 😂
When the live version is better than the studio recording 😋😋😋
That‘s almost always the case with them
It’s one thing to produce this soundscape in a studio, but they can and do so live . Amazing . If you ever get the chance to go see them do it .
Don't you just love it when a band has its shit together for a live performance ❤

check out Talk show host and wolf at the door live as well ;)
Best Radiohead song
Nice video dude! You should listen to the 1996 live version of paranoid android. It’s really trippy!
This is better than the actual kids react
If you like killer guitar sounds you never heard before and great, I mean great, rock instrumentals, react to Rage Against the Machine.
Good lad, cadence, young and at school at night well done Boy

Kid A sucks🤣🤣🤣 blasphemy haha
This is probably the best live version of this song. Pure perfection.
I know right! For a young kid he seems to be really onto it. I hope he sticks to youtube I can see his channel growing big time.
