Great. I used to breed Bull finches and fife canaries. Captive bred native finches and songbirds are lovely pets. Now i moved from the Uk and these birds don't exist here, not even anyone breeds canaries!!! I miss keeping them so much, but now i breed exotic songbirds like bulbuls, laughing thrushes and shamma.
Great job apart from the platic on the roofing. Good for other seasons but they will be literally boiling in the summer time and lack of uv rays isn't really helpful for birds either.
Hi mate, try using rubber floor matting for the floor, it’s what I use, easy to clean and hardwiring. It’s not too expensive either, I buy it off eBay. Lovely set up
Nice one mate... am a finch breeder myself. Always great to see others enjoying the same hobby and interest. Couple of suggestions 1. To seal off the gaps in decking boards 2 make some sort of removable and washable trays at the bottom to remove the waste and droppings with ease.
Hello! I need your help. I found in the forest a small chaffinch after a heavy rain. What can i Could give him to eat to ne healty. I have A-T home zebra finches But he is So small, he dont eat seeds. Sort about my english
@@cristinaporumb6921 if I were you I would give hand feed solution for small birds using a feeding syringe for birds or a dropper. If hand feed formula is not available u can use a human baby feed formula.
Amazing flights and lots of space for your birds, great job. I see you got caps between the decking boards. What is beneath it? A lot of seeds can accumulate down their attracting mice, maybe it is better to seal that off as well.
wow my dream is to be able to breed birds for hobby someday and I am definitely looking forward to be doing that soon, for now I can only keep half a dozen of green, grey, lemon and blackthroat finches in my apartment. Impressive, well organized and well designed aviaries, learned a lot from your videos , thank you.
Great set up mate well done listen to the positive comments an forget the rest. Most can't even make beans on toast never mind build a set of flights 😉
Great work mate lovely set up Would love something like that and although I have a big garden my wife tells me she needs room for her flowers lol So i have compromised although i am still trying to take over the other shed 😂
Do you put more lurches in and different sizes of wooden perches so they don't get humble foot I know if breeding them I think you need more wooden purches.
Congratulation and thank you for the very interesting videos. It would be greatly appreciated if you can please indicate the ideal sizes of cages when one is breeding greenfinches as a pair and maybe when one is mating one male with 3 females. Thanks
I will be adding greenery come the breeding season in a few months time, as these flights will be used for the Greenfinches. The idea of keeping it minimal was for the benefit of the young birds, helping keep it clean as some species when they are young are very prone to diseases such as coccidiosis in greenfinches
Any tips for the canaries, i have two that have laid over 20 unfertilised eggs in 2 months. They’re apparently both female but one is slender and the other has a rounder shape
Yes get some definite males in, you can tell easily a make from them singing. Canaries come in all different shapes and sizes so a slender bird and a round bird are just different breeds of canary
When the birds are outside, how do you keep the bugs off of them. I am afraid to put mine outside. I heard of to many horror story from friends that said the bugs attacked the birds thus killing them. I am 72 and would like to try, but, hesitant. Any advice? Thank you.
Hi, where’s in the world do you live? In the UK I’ve never heard of bugs being an issue besides mite really which can be dealt with using frontline and mite powder
Thank you, I told my friend about the products and he will try them out also. Now he just leaves his birds out for a half hour in the morning and not at night or during the day. Thank you again for the advise. My friend also said to say thank you.
Hello, I see your videos about birds, very informative and nice, plz guide me I can keep gouldian finch pair in 2 feet long height 1.5 and wirth 1.5 cage or not, is that good size or not
Yes for these I have at the moment, just to keep it simple and easy, also having fewer perches helps against the young birds getting slipclaw. But as they age I’ll add different thickness to give their feet more exercise
@@OCAVIARY yeah was going to say different thickness always help and maybe if canarys struggle to breed have you tried to use willow branches and conifers that used to work for me your a very intelligent lad keep it up
I would of gone half covered half plastic with the roof. All plastic is too hot for them in summer, even with fans. Will be like a greenhouse and I can see your birds are too hot. Plus, put some fake greenery in there for them to provide interest. Too bare
Great seeing a young person with a passion for these birds. Today’s youngsters sit mindlessly in front of UA-cam videos!

Smashing job Oliver it's the only way forward easy maintenance and upkeep. The bird's will love it

Great set up mate well done listen to the positive comments an forget the rest. Most can't even make beans on toast never mind build a set of flights 😉
You done a brilliant job young man
Good informative video - great job 😉👍
Top job Oliver just quick question on the floor you got caps between the decking what happens to seed that falls through it ?
Well done mate you worked hard on them ,thank you for shareing .
The bird cage is cool and clean
Seem too tight specially when the walls are solid. Please update on how the birds fared.
They look amazing. Nice work.
Great work mate lovely set up
Would love something like that and although I have a big garden my wife tells me she needs room for her flowers lol

Amazing Oliver! Keep it like this

Nice job mate!! Looking good!!
Excellent job. Really impressive.
Very beautiful.

Nice setup very similar to what I use for my greenfinches 👍🏻
Beutiful birds.. 👍👍
Great job!
Hi! Very good, congratulation
Will they get too hot with the polycarbonate roof sheets ?
wonderful flights , really inspiring
Good job,, but if the waste seed falls through the decking gaps it could bring in vermin in the winter months,,just saying.
great job!
Nice set up 👍
amazing aviary..good job mate
Great job mate
Good job bro
Congratulation and thank you for the very interesting videos. It would be greatly appreciated if you can please indicate the ideal sizes of cages when one is breeding greenfinches as a pair and maybe when one is mating one male with 3 females. Thanks
Fantastic job
Loved it
Nice job. Thank You for sharing
Great video fella
I'd add greenery to make it more natural looking otherwise it looks like jail cells
I will be adding greenery come the breeding season in a few months time, as these flights will be used for the Greenfinches.

Nice setup. one question: how about the temperature in there in hot summer days?
There’s a lot of airflow through the roof to remove any hot air aswell as having the open front. It also has a large area shaded to keep them cool
Nice
Thanks for ur vid buddy n i did subscribed ur channel as my fully supported for u..n keeps updating new vid ok..greeing from Malaysia
👍
Hello my friend, can you go have problems with mosquitoes?
Any tips for the canaries, i have two that have laid over 20 unfertilised eggs in 2 months. They’re apparently both female but one is slender and the other has a rounder shape
Get them each a canary boyfriend and enjoy some baby canaries.
Yes get some definite males in, you can tell easily a make from them singing.
Canaries come in all different shapes and sizes so a slender bird and a round bird are just different breeds of canary
Nice setup 😍 👍
Good day I will like to know how long can canarys stay fertile for breeding.
Luar biasa 👍👍
Is it safe to give sunflower seed to my finches and how many time is a week, now day temperature is 30 c in my country ( summer )
Good 👍😊
Good job !
Hey guys, please recommend a bird which has a pleasant singing. I want to feel like being in the forest.
Abraço do Brasil 🇧🇷
Awesome 👏🏻
Bravo!!!
Hello,I have a question, I would like to know the race of Yellow canaries.?
Brilliant

No problem. If bugs are a major issue as well in terms of larger bugs, could you try something like a mosquito net with very small holes?
Hello, I see your videos about birds, very informative and nice, plz guide me I can keep gouldian finch pair in 2 feet long height 1.5 and wirth 1.5 cage or not, is that good size or not
*Wow…* 😍
Can you ship to Algeria?
Have you thought about getting some different types of birds like a pair of budgies just so you could breed them
I used to keep exotics in the past like cockatiels, Budgies, small parakeets and Australian finches but I prefer the British and canaries to be honest
@@OCAVIARY canarys are awesome birds I used to have loads
Do you use the same thickness in perches

Hi friend I'm melvyn from South Africa and looking to buy from ur pies finches

You made a perfect jail for all these victim finches!
Viel zu klein für die Menge an Vögeln
Where are the plants and trees for birds to play? And you sayyou are a bird lover? I dont think so. You only made a secured jail for them.
Więcej ptaków mniej ciebie a będzie dobrze
Nice job !!!
