UA-cam was not nice and smacked the channel so being able to do these types of videos are becoming harder and apparently a few competitors are playing games. Thanks for the support I appreciate it!
For the Superbox Elite Pro+, are all of the channels, apps working other than the "Elite" apps. Meaning there should be channels to watch the same as the Ultra box. I am considering the Pro+ for the simple fact it is the same price as the Ultra and if the "Elite" apps begin working I will have access to them.
This streaming is all nonsense to me, a 65yo, but unfortunately it's here replacing cable. A downgrade overall, but here. That's another subject.

Researching these 'boxes', I am under the impression 'SuperBox' is a company and 'Octastream', etc. are different companies and all of the sites selling them are independent sellers.
Also from what I am seeing, their latest boxes are all the same. The only differences are the size of the SD cards being either 64GB or 128GB, which I assume I can buy one on my own.
Making it even more confusing(strange?) is SuperBox advertises 'SuperBox Elite Utra' and 'SuperBox Elite Pro+' models, but replaces them with the 'Octastream' brand. I am wanting to buy something like these, but it all seems somewhat shady. These 'official' sites selling SuperBoxes don't explain or provide any info of the details of problems mentioned. Your info tries to make sense of it.
I actually found an Octastream site selling these same models for $50 less than the SuprBox 'official' sites. Deciding whether to spend the $ and take a chance.

After about a month “Devices Forbidden” notice popped up on screen and stopped working
Just contact them to re-register the MAC of the box and you should be fine
Is it always best to have a VPN when using the boxes??
In my opinion and one who has paid the price of not having one, I recommend it on every device connected to the internet were ever you are.
Have you encountred any devices like the firestick which can be configured to run Linux? I like the "idea" of a Raspberry Pi which can run Linux but if you want it to playback video it is nowhere near the quality of even a $20 Walmart ONN stick. Beyond that you have to pay more for the device and then you have to pay for the case and power supply and cables and storage, oh my!!!
Not yet personally, but other may have. Anybody out there run across this?
@@CouchPotatoCafe If you have any inside contacts with any of the companies providing these products consider pitching the idea of a firestick clone which allows the installation of Linux and can stream 1080P video without dropped frames.

@@CouchPotatoCafe Very cool! Imagine having a USB power strip filled with several firestick clones running Linux. You could have one running Pi-Hole and Recursive DNS, another running OpenVPN, another running DD-WRT, another running OpenMediaVault NAS, another running Kodi, ... All using very little power and making no noise. Ahhhhh.
