Very nice video. I know what you mean about trying to find something on UA-cam that explains your particular unit. I’m having a dilemma right now myself. I have a Kenwood kr-7070 with the auto tune. Very cool feature by the way. My problem is I can’t take the faceplate off my receiver. I pulled off all the knobs, I remove the 4 nuts and washers that we’re on the control stems, and the two grommets on the left side of the receiver for the 1/4 inch headphone jacks. There is nothing on the face holding it, but yet it will not come off. I took the bottom cover off of the receiver to see if there was something on the bottom inside of the face plate that needed to be removed, such as screws, but I can’t find any reason for it not to come off. There is absolutely nothing on UA-cam or even Google to explain how that damn faceplate comes off. I have two burned out bulbs that I need to replace but I can’t get the faceplate off. Any ideas?

Excellent tutorial video for my Kenwood KR-5150 burnt out bulbs in the dial display. I'm counting 3 bulbs for the display backlighting itself (as shown in your video) and 1 for the signal strength meter, all identical sizes (as you say 8-volt .15 amp bulbs). The pointer and "stereo" light bulbs sizes are yet to be identified. I noticed 5 LED bulbs in your LED "packkage". Any reason why you ordered 5 LED bulbs? Thanks for posting this helpful video.

Thanks for this helpful video. I'm just refurbishing a KR-4140 I inherited. Still working great after more than 25 years being unused. And I did not replace any capacitor. One of three the lamps in the front box doesn't work anymore. Can you provide the link to those LEDs you used ? Did you get a better result turning them to the back side ?

Hi William. Did you ever find any info on the stereo bulb? I recently obtained this reciever and the stereo bulb is completely missing.

If it helps the Part # for it is B30-033-03, I looked up the Part number and just found Yamaha junk, idk but maybe you can find it. If not I'd suggest finding out the voltage and current for it, and using that info to make a new one.
