I could almost hear the screams and laughter from the rides. And, smell the foods. It is hard to believe that everything stopped in an instant, never to be enjoyed again. Thanks Deej!
Ok, let me say this.....I have watched every video that can be found from this place over the years. Just when I think there's nothing left to document that hasn't already been done. Here comes our boy with the best video yet. Excellent coverage 👏. Great angles and choices to start the scene from. Zooming out from a busted headlight, rising up and over a bunch of picker bushes. Great editing aswell. You hinted to this some time ago. It was worth the wait.
I've been interested in this park since I saw the documentary on it, "Closed for Storm". Fascinating look into it but a bit creepy like every abandoned place is.
I think yours is the ONLY video that shows the log ride! And I love how you walked across the bridge where you could get splashed when the boats came down the hill. Of all the videos of Six Flags being abandoned, yours is definitely the best!! Excellent footage!
I had totally forgotten that there was a Six Flaggs in NOLA. Looks so cool, sad it’s abandoned. I grew up in Arlington with the original and worked security there. Really it’s so sad.
So eerie and surreal to see all of this as abandoned. Sad and unfortunate. 😥 It’s amazing that there are things still in good condition or in tact with vibrant colors. Great videography❣️ Much appreciated. 👍
Great video, as always! Love your exploring and always am up for a good exploration of our Jazzland rotting away. So many have gone in over the years and it is a great chronicle of the steady reclamation of it by nature. Thanks!
@@NOLADEEJ wow so cool to see it as it stands today! Such a shame to see how people have vandalized it over the years! I wish somebody would restore it and reopen it that would be the coolest thing ever I think it would do really well if it was open now!! How did you get past the security and not get caught!?
Hate to see the park in this shape. I spent a lot of my late teens and early 20s there. Especially the ride at 24:20. It's a Fabbri Cataclysm, not too any were made and was one of the most underrated rides there.
Be careful out there. Lots of wildlife taking over. Can't wait to see video. Get a good shot of the swings. May be faded but I bet still pretty. Thanks 😊
The park opened as Jazzland in 2000, but it was not profitable at first. Six Flags took the park under its wing in 2002, though the park's name remained the same. In 2003, it was upgraded and rechristened to Six Flags New Orleans. Hurricane Katrina struck the park in late summer 2005 and never reopened. Four years later, Six Flags abandoned the park permanently.
ANOTHER GREAT EXPLORE. ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO EVEN MORE MEMORIES MADE!!!! GOOD JOB TEAM!!! GREAT JOB DEEJ!!! Krewe du Exploration checks another one off the list!! 🙌🏼
Hi from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦. Very nicely done. Really enjoyed your video. What a dump but it's a fascinating dump. Trying to guess what coaster that seat was off. Ponchetrain Flyers maybe? Correct me if I'm wrong. Just love that Mega Zeph. You didn't go up did you? Other side of the steps there is a couple missing at the bottom. Wonder what happened to the car on the Ferris Wheel, didn't see it. Weird. Again, I really enjoyed your video. Thank you.
I remember several years ago a 7 foot rattlesnake was found in the vicinity of that place She said I wouldn't GI two at a time and my mind went SOUTH for a hot minute... Just saying. 😎
Dude you killed it in this video! The drone shots are sickkkk! I just got done filming an abandoned zoo here in St. Augustine, FL. You'll have to check it out on my channel! Keep up with the awesome content!
Excellent video!! I love how you show the rides from ground level and an aerial view too. They really need to sell all the remaining rides and things in the park to recoup some of their losses. I would love a bumper car or something for my front yard. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to more videos!! A definite LIKE!!
I keep looking for an evil clown. I think back to the time I spent there as a teenager and it's sad to see it in this shape. I passed some good times there

That was what I was hearing and feeling while there! It was eerie!
@@NOLADEEJ Places don't usually affect me that strongly. I felt you would turn a corner and see everything like it had been.
Nearly 20 years since Katrina doesn’t seem like that, that’s probably because the survivors never forget the victims never forgotten ❤

That was a great documentary!
I would love to join exploring with others to take walk in abandoned amusement parks and Six Flags New Orleans
This deserves more views. Much more detailed explore the some of the more popular Urban Explorers for sure!! 👍
That muskrat scrambler is one of my favourite kind of coasters.
Yeah they’re really cool!

I don’t quite follow
Thoroughly enjoyed this video doc! You had all the elements that I find engaging. Quiet. Ominous. Beautiful.

Thanks man! Yeah very sad!!
Security working there has made over 100 arrest in the last 12 months, remember to mention that on your video & 2 people have almost got shot.
This video looks like it going to be great

It’s nuts to me that it’s already been almost 20 years since Hurricane Katrina happened! I had just got to college in Eastern Idaho when it happened.
It’s hard for me to believe too! Crazy how fast time goes sometimes

What ever happened to the batman/superhero area?
The superhero area is still there but a lot of it was sold off. The Batman ride specifically is now at a different park.
Did you have no problem with security?
