- Yeah, this time I got a few minutes after some hot wheels scalpers opened boxes, and grabbed the most wanted cars. I witnessed the aftermath, saw all the open boxes. The Walmart employee didn't know and let them opened them, when he was stocking them.
Besides that, I got an okay hunts...
Scalpers always ruin it for everyone
Isnt HW collecting a fun,easy going,stress free hobby? Exactly why I quit the hobby. Much happier now. There is a whole big world beyond HW's. Once you step outside and look in you see how ridiculous people can be over these little toys. The greed and corruption is unlike any other hobby I have experienced.
Me too, absolutely disgusted with the amount of scalping here in Malaysia, the birthplace of Hot Wheels baseline itself. Now I only collect Tomica Premiums mostly. Sure they cost more than the baseline Hot Wheels but problem is can you even buy one at the pegs at retail prices? A Tomica Premium costs 3-4 times a baseline Hot Wheels but if that model is a highly desired JDM Skyline GTR it's going to be scalped to at least 3 times the retail price, by then you might as well get the Tomica Premium already, which comes with opening parts, suspensions and much better details.

I watched a guy grab every 24 th bus, must have been at least 25 of them and walk away. Older guy was looking through boxes and mumbled f***ing scalpers, I laughed he laughed. Then he asked me what I was looking for and gave me all the doubles he had.
Very very simple hunt. Either get them Civics, Skylines, Chases, Thunts, & Supers, and OR any Fn JDM $hit worldwide collectors choice.
I can put 2 whit eggs in the pile and I paint the bottom green and gold, “ Oh it’s a Chase “
One can go to a store with pegs full, if there’s no supers, skylines, chases, or Civics they’ll say in their vlogs, “ Oh there’s nothing in here guys “

Well it’s obvious you don’t understand the rare collectible cars sell for big money on eBay. The guy with the shopping cart got there when the store opened, took all the rare desirable cars out of the boxes to resell them for a big profit. Understand what you’re saying before making an ignorant comment like that.

You’re obviously here just to talk shit about some people’s hobby, given your ignorance of it, as well as your screen name 🙄. Many of these “toy cars” are worth a small fortune, and an investment. I spent less than $4 on 3 yesterday that are worth close to $100 EACH right now! I’m going to hang on to them for awhile because they will only go up in value.
It really just happens with most hobbys. I kinda cooled down on my pokemon buying (oughta get into selling), but im starting to get back into hot wheels.

The hot wheels scalpers or I like to call Diecast Mafia lol, been ravage boxes for years. I been collecting since 97 ,and you get lucky if you find anything. Plus, you see them, there well I'll sell the car for 40 to 60 bucks out of the parking lot. No thanks, I have real job and work the grave yard shift. Some times if I can't find after awhile I remove from my wish . Collecting has become aggressive and doesn't always show the best side people. Still there is good people but, a bunch are rotten apples.

It really is unfortunately. It's gotten so bad that some people may buy more cars online than hunting in stores sadly.
Can't cry if you got to the store late, smh. Every one be claiming they are not a scalper they will not buy all, but in reality, we dont know. Good luck on the hunt.

That’s funny bcuz Idk any true Hot Wheels collector that would ever insinuate someone that would take literally every type of a child’s toy away from children, just so they can make a profit, a MAN😂 Mainlines are and have always been for children. It’s along the same exact logic as if an adult would buy all the pacifiers just to resell 😂😅

Well I'm trying sell 6 cars for 25 and guy low balls me for 20 told him to kick rocks and try find em online you paying 50+ so I don't know if Scalper or collector alot people say they collect but don't even open em
This may hurt some feelings, but the truth is the truth. Having grown up playing with Hot Wheels by being born in 1970, then as a collector ever since, I’ve seen how “tarnished” the hobby has gotten ever since Social Media. It’s no coincidence that like 99.9% of scalpers are either Millennials or younger. Let’s not forget the main and most important thing about Hot Wheels mainlines, they’re for CHILDREN! When I see a scalper all I see is an adult male (bcuz no MAN could do such a thing), that is literally taking toys out of children’s hands just to make a profit. Those that get offended or upset with this comment will justify it bcuz they know I’m right. Those that agree with this comment are the collectors. Buying two of a casting doesn’t make you a scalper bcuz there’s two kinds of collectors. There’s those collectors that like to display or “release” the casting bcuz we feel we don’t collect cardboard and plastic, then those collectors that like keeping the entire item in original packaging bcuz it makes it more valuable. That’s a whole different conversation in itself. I personally focus on just getting one of the castings I like and I currently only keep mainlines in the blister pack, only bcuz of limited space. I open and display any RLCs, STHs and premium castings that I get. Scalpers are only hurting the true value of Hot Wheels themselves. Many cars aren’t worth what they’re paying for, bcuz the value goes down as time goes on. After myself and a few other collectors as well as parents kept talking about scalpers, they have changed their stocking practices. They stocked during closed hours so the scalpers would hit it in when they opened. Which many of us have real jobs so we’d be working when they opened and literally everything would be gone in less than an hour. Now they’re constantly stocking throughout the day, which many scalpers are complaining about because they don’t know when they’ll be put out. I was never one to raid a skid of children’s toys. But after getting to know the associates, when they see me they’ll go and check for any cases and if there’s any, they’ll bring them out to me and let me look first. They know that I’ll put them on the pegs for them as I look thru the case. It took awhile but an associate saw me give a young boy a STH that I already had just so it wouldn’t go to a scalper. After that they know that I’m only taking one casting that I want and that I’m not taking only to resell at a profit.
Dude when I see scalpers opening cases I'll just go up ,and start grabbing some cars. Especially if I see them getting all the hard to find ones . The truth is they don't want to start a fight or get attention to themselves, but if you wait for them to finish they will take everything. Just don't be afraid of them. last week I saw a guy grabbing cases from the pallet, and opening them. I walked up there ,grabbed one unopened case and opened it myself., took what I wanted, which is usually one of each car, including treasure hunt, and put it back. He didn't say anything to me.

5 Scalpers in my area in Puerto Rico where in the door in 6am and I just got tired of them taking the goods from the collectors I just took everything and gave the doubles to my colleagues in collecting in the area the scalpers started saying don't take everything and leave stuff for the rest and I just took everything for the collectors in my area thanks to them we barely find good stuff

It's a different country. Each country has Hot Wheels and Matchbox and other diecast cars priced differently because they use different currencies.

This is always y i hunt for mainlines mostly im always trying to find the basic treasure hunts even if im lucky to find a super treasure hunt usually two is what i want one for the blister and one to take out of the blister but im always looking for my favorite license and fantasy cars my current hunts are the custom ottos my favorite fantasy casting
Edit: if i have tracks ill sometimes grab more for bashing and crashing but thats mainly mainlines and i wish i can get into customizing my own cars with them they look soo good.
You won’t like this post. Great channel but I have news for you. “Buying two” is not what a collector does. You’re taking a desirable model from another collector, or worse, a kid. Just because “the scalpers take everything,” doesn’t give you an excuse to buy multiples when there’s only two. Fortunately I buy from another collector that has an LLC, a website, and resells at his cost so folks that always have empty pegs because they work, can collect. When we buy from his site, we get one, not two.

I’m a collector and yes I will buy multiple cars if it something I like. I’ve gone to stores so many times and never find anything so why pass up maybe my only opportunity to get a car besides having to later get it on eBay and pay ten times the prices. Supers/chases I’m gonna grab everyone I find. They are great for trading at diecast shows for cars you really want. I used to be negative about people buying everything up but you gotta realize it’s the name of the game. A kid has just as much chance as me randomly showing up and finding good cars. If hotwheels were only for the kids than they wouldn’t have redline club
Can we just stop ripping the fkn boxes open and wait for it to hit shelves? I’m in a lot of hobbies and this is by far one of the most toxic. You’re NOT cool for ripping boxes and buying it first. If you trying to flex on a $1 toy car then you seriously need to reevaluate your life. Bunch of grown ass children!!
