unfortunately it is not about collecting anymore , now it is a business , scalpers make a mess at stores never clean up after themselves just to find a dang super or chase ,it is not only scalpers ,it is also store employees going through boxes in the back before being pegged
Let me ask you a question. Would your point of view be different if that case was empty on the side and the pegs were full with that 1 Hot Wheels missing? This might simply be a case of an inconsiderate collector not a scalper 🤔 or an employee/manager that cracked open the case and took what could’ve possibly been a super before the case was brought out?

I call the hotwheels customer support and complained that we can not order online from them. That the scalpers take almost everything in my part of the world. If they were collecting. I would jot care. However I see the cars for sale on ebay every day.

Yes. And for some things like the Kroger cars I will pay. Because there are none around here. But I will not pay $50 for a $1 toy. No way.
Last year I collected the mainline set. I did not get 17 cars. It was so hard to get them.
I have all the normal treasure hunts for this year so far. I have a supper treasure corvette the second one. For suppers that all I got that is extra.
