Fantastic bashing, Phil! 😃 Another issue that unfortunately happens a lot with metal are bubbles during fabrication. And that creates a point of failure, really. 😕 I remember reading about a wind generator in the UK that broke apart because of a screw that failed like that. (Many people speculated an UFO had collided with it and so on.) Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
I've just bought one of these on back order. I bought it off the back of how impressed I was with the Tracer I got my lad for Christmas. That thing is immense with the optional oil shocks. Funny story, it has popped the RHR drive shaft out twice, both times at the skatepark landing on one wheel off a shallow jump. I think it's a case of abuse it at your peril, but I'm really looking forward to getting hold of this.
The broken drive shaft could have been a combination of things too, maybe an imperfection in the metal creating a weak spot and the cold as well as the angle of some of the landings Great video 👍🏻

This is a nice truck. I landed my Tmaxx 3.3 on the sidewalls from 15 feet at a skatepark. It ripped the exhaust off and sucked grass into the engine. Busted four shocks. It was not a good landing 🤣. That being said, I would not be disappointed with this little beast.

Thanks for another great review. Is it possible they broke when the suspension was extended and your were on the throttle as t landed? They shouldn't. But, you see it real racing when the car is being dropped off the jacks and the driver accelerated before the car hits the surface and they snap something in the drive system. Keep up the good work.
One of the reasons they break not bend is they make them hard so they don't wear out but that makes them rigid. It's a balance point. I use a TON of carbide router bits and the fine grain makes them incredible sharp and hard, but they are also very fragile.
